Vi var veldig fornøyde med hotellet. Service, og beliggenhet var utrolig bra. Mat (frokost) var også veldig bra. Og det var veldig familievennlig. Eneste vi ville klagd på var dårlig nettforbindelse.

Et kjempeflott hotellkompleks med en god beliggenhet sentralt i Kata. Bodde her mot slutten av en 14 dagers ferie, og skulle gjerne sett at vi hadde kommet hit tidligere. Bodde i en villa med private pool som medførte at vi både hadde meget komfortabelt privatliv samtidig som vi kunne benytte hotellets andre fasiliteter (treningsrom, resturant, meget […] store svømmebasseng etc...) Høy kvalitet både på mat og service. Dersom flyet ditt går sent og hotellet er fullbooket slik at du ikke kan få en sen utsjekk så har hotellet en egen "leilighet" hvor det er mulig å oppholde seg/ta en dusj etc før flyreisen hjem (f.eks etter en dag i bassengområdet eller på stranda). Kjapp, gratis og god internettforbindelse for de som måtte ha behov for det! Les mer

Dette hotellet er helt fantastisk! Aldri før har jeg møtt så imøtekommen betjening, som er veldig serviceinnstilte og alltid har et smil på lur. Hotellet ligger sentralt ved Kata beach, med en kort taxitur til andre strender i Phuket. Hotellets frokost er veldig bra, og restauranten serverer veldig gode lunsjer og middager. Hotellet har nok solsenger […] til at du alltid får plass, men det er aldri fullt. Vi ble oppgradert første natten gratis pga overbooking, og jeg anbefaler alle å høre om dere kan oppgradere (evt se hvordan det ser ut i en prisklasse høyere). Hotellrommene er helt fantastisk! Eneste minus er at gaten utenfor har noen veldig irriterende gateselgere som aldri slutter å mase på deg og dra deg inn i butikken. Dette er ikke noe problem, men vær bevisst på det! Les mer

Fint hotell med flotte omgivelser og svømmebasseng. Bygningene og rommene er ikke helt nye, men OK. Veldig god frokost. Ypperlig for romantiske par eller familier med barn. Rommet vårt var litt slitt med noen feil. Internet finnes men er ikke så rask. Faktisk årsak til at vi byttet hotell etter 14 dager. Betjeningen er veldig imøtekommende og klarer […] seg i engelsken. Beliggenheten er veldig sentral i Kata, og det er kort vei til det meste. Har god service for taxi, transfer og buggy som kan bringe deg rundt på hotellet og ut til hovedveien. We had a wonderful stay at the Metadee! We had no complaints for our 5 night stay. We stayed in a pool access villa and it was amazing. The beds were comfy, the villa was massive and very clean. Breakfast was great with a large selection of everything you would need for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved this hotel, It has the most amazhing pool i have ever seen! Staff is very friendly and always smiling! Breakfast was very good, lots of to choose from. We didnt eat dinner at the hotel as it was bit overprice and there r lost of other restauranst on a main road. Room was lovely! The location is good,its not far from the beach about 10 mins […] walk, lots of shops and restaurants around! The spa in a hotel is much more expensive and we went to one just at the end of the road and its a lovely one, recommned that one. The only bad think about the hotel was that when we arrived late at night they overbooked the hotel and they had to transfer us to other one for one night! They were very appologetic and they gave us a vouchers for dinner and also free transfer to airport! At the end of our stay we saw that we were not the only one! So they shoul sort out this overbooking for once! We would definitelly come back! If u booking i would recommand pay a bit extra for pool access, we didnt have one and regreted it! Les mer

Did not want to go home! The staff were so courteous, friendly,professional and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for these people. Well what can I say other than what a great resort! We have stayed at a lot of resorts in Phuket, Bali and Fiji over the years and this is now voted by us as the number 1 resort we have ever stayed in. I had read like most people, the reviews for this hotel and some were not nice about this hotel and some where even saying don't go to this hotel. I […] am now perplex that they could write about this hotel with any negativity at all. From the time we arrived and checked in to our room all went well. The room was a pool view room with 2 double beds joined as one! it was a really big bed!!! very very comfortable. The room has a rain shower which was just the best shower ( never wanted to get out of it). Each room has a fridge and a safe. The air conditioning works a treat. The WI-FI internet works best if you use the desk near the window. The staff were so friendly and after they get to know you they become quite cheeky and witty. In the Kitchen you will run in to 2 of those in Boy (yes boy) and Sebastian his boss. Both very funny and good at their job. In the bar is Golf and if you look hard at their names in the breakfast area you will meet 2 cooks named Poo and Chit, I kid you not. The main thing that makes this hotel a winner for us was the great pool. Its a pool plus a long swimming canal which allows you to stroll up the canal to a small waterfall (great for your back) and a jet spa you can use outside of the villas along the way. When we arrived we were told they did not have our room vacant and they would upgrade us to better room for one night, my partner told them that we had traveled from Kanchanabury to Bangkok and then flown to Phuket and then to Kata all in one day and once she unpacked she was not moving ( we were there 5 nights ) they referred us to the manager who […] was not there.Next morning they said our room would not be ready untill 3pm would we like to leave our bags with them as we were to vacate the upgrade, we asked for the manager who believe it not not was in a meeting(,this must be a global stunt) as we booked the room in August we said this is your problem not ours and ignored them for the rest of our stay and stayed in the upgrade.Other than that the Hotel is great and the staff very friendly. The hotel is great for one who wants to be away from the busy streets and the service is reasonably good. Most of the hotel was well kept but if your one like myself who likes to keep fit the gym is very out dated but they do have a great size pool for swimming laps. The only real disappointment was the New Years Eve event that they held and I felt […] was overcharged at $176 AU per person. They advertised it like they were having professional singers, dancers and kick boxers only to find that most of the performers were the general staff. They also advertised 50% off drinks but the way it worked was you buy two drinks and you get one free. This was a real let down as we could have gone elsewhere and watched a real performance for nothing and paid a lot less. Definitely don't recommend spending New Years Eve at the resort. Les mer

A fantastic hotel in a great location. Very pleased with our pool access villa - lots of space to spread out, and fabulous being able to access the huge winding pool right from your villa. It also has a cute small seat with a jacuzzi function. Staff at the hotel are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. The staff on reception do need to brush […] up a little on customer service/english - but hey, you only see them twice all holiday - they get there eventually. Taxi transfer service to & from the airport is well worth the money - safe vehicles, safe drivers and air conditioned. Thai food in the hotel is great. Only negative for us - the gym equipment requires updating and the aircon in the room is not effective. Location is great - there is a long driveway to the hotel, which is accessed either by a short walk or a buggy drive. Not sure why people have stated this is a dirty driveway, far from it - it is lined with chalet style properties from another hotel, that are fronted with lots of potted plants. Elegant, away from noise and Main Street yet close to everything, restaurants and grocery stores are 2 minutes’ walk, the beach is 10 minute walk but they have a free shuttle every hour if you are lazy. The room service is quick, they don’t keep you waiting outside they do it as soon as you leave the room. Everything is just beyond your expectation. The […] only drawback is the staff at the breakfast hall; they definitely need a lesson in customer service and hospitality, they group together and talk very loud and laugh as if they are in a street bar ignoring customers, bit rough and not helpful, first I thought it was a coincidence but it happened in my 5 days stay. The Metadee was an average to below-average resort. The grounds were very pretty and the rooms were nice, and breakfast was above-average. However, for a resort, the entertainment was lacking. It rained the entire time we were there, and there was nothing to do beyond laying by the pool, which obviously doesn't work if it's raining. The English-speaking […] TV options were terrible (one movie channel that played the most random movies imaginable), and the wifi was too weak to download or stream. The staff is pleasant enough, but they were constantly angling for tips, and the resort overcharges for everything. The Metadee provides absolutely nothing as part of their customer service, and in fact charges significantly more for providing services than the standard going rate (i.e., a cab from the airport is 750 THB; a shuttle pickup by the resort, which many resorts provide for free, is 1300 THB). They nickel and dime you to death. I would not return. Les mer

Best pool I've ever seen at a resort, breakfast is ok has all the basics you need, bacon eggs, pastries, cereal, juice. We got upgraded to Pool Access room which I highly recommend spending extra for. Only let down was they pushed two king single beds together to make a king size bed and it was a let down having a gap in the middle. Room also smelt […] a bit musty. Overall recommend, enjoyed our stay. Plenty to do in the Kata area without having the masses in Patong Beach. Only 400baht ($12-$13) to get to Patong Beach if you want to go there, and 800-1000 baht ($25-$30AUD) to/from the airport which was approx 1 hr taxi ride. Les mer

Great place to stay was our first time in Phuket and this resort was perfect for it. The place in a whole is quite small but that's what makes it nice, not to many people. The pool is amazing and the staff are all lovely. The restaurant is a bit overpriced but the food is all of a very high standard sp worth it. Would defiantly come back!

We stayed for 10 days in a pool access room. It was great bein able to jump in the pool directly from our room! There was nothing to complain about the resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant for breakfast was fairly standard (good choices, large variety) for a Thailand resort (we didn't eat there other than at breakfast), the pool […] was great - clean, not crowded and felt private despite the pool access rooms. We used the spa twice which was also great and not too expensive (more than outside the resort though). There is also buggy transport available to the end of the driveway but it seems somewhat unnecessary as it is not a long walk (200-300m) but a nice option if you're feeling lazy! The hotel is in a great position in central Kata but far enough off the road to feel like you're secluded and put of town. Walking distance to countless restaurants, bars and the beach. We also had free wifi within the resort which was nice. We would go back again but maybe upgrade and stay in a pool access villa or private pool villa for something a bit more special. The resort is smaller than most of the others in the area which is nice as there aren't too many people around and it seems more private and secluded than other resorts we har stayed in in Thailand. Just returned from 9 nights at the Metadee. Fantastic resort. Staff are all so happy to help in any way. The restaurant staff, the bar staff, the reception and the spa massage ladies and the cleaners and gardeners not forgetting the men who drive the buggies to the end of the driveway, they all greet you with a smile and do an outstanding job. We also […] highly recommend using the Metadee taxi drivers. We always felt safe in their hands and most of the time they would wait for us while we did our sightseeing. The resort is absolutely beautiful.The pool and the gardens are immaculate. While we were there we attended the celebration of the Lay Krathong Festival. The resort was so well decorated with lights and flowers. They had a lovely buffet dinner and entertainment. We had such a great night. We needed a late check out because we had a late flight. We were so well accommodated even thought they were fully booked we were given the use of the new living room with showers toilets and lounges to wait in. The only shame is that our holiday is over. Quiet location in busy resort, with on-demand transport to resort centre and regular shuttle bus to beach. Staff very helpful and responded promptly to all requests. Accommodation is dispersed across site and some locations have greatly overgrown foliage which must make them appear dark (fortunately, our room was not badly affected). The resort itself was really beautifully kept, really impressed with my stay overall. The only downside to the hotel was its location. About a 20min walk to the beach. That being said, the beaches close by are Kata and Karon and I enjoyed those beaches much more than Patong for the sole reason that there were half the amount of people. I found Patong […] overcrowded so enjoyed staying further away from it. Most island tours also include transport to and from your hotel, so although we were a bit further away, it was quite easy to get around with tour transport included and tuktuk's at the end of the hotel's (long) driveway! The resort was exceelent. The staff were all GREAT! The only down side is tha tit is about 10-15 minute walk to beach. However they do offer a shuttle every hour to beach.

The Hotel was fantastic, really clean, the rooms were cleaned daily.A fantastic huge shower head on the ceiling that felt just awsome, a huge bath tub too. The only thing negative i would say and this is just nit picking, there were no drawers to put your clothes in, plenty of wardrobe and hanging space though...... From the moment you walk into the […] resort you just get a real tropical feel. a huge pool. The restaurant was brilliant,you get a great feed. The staff there were so friendly and happy, always happy to see you. remember your name and joke around with you. A special mention to just a few employees Jackie was just so cute lol. Golf was the joker and Boy an even bigger joker, just to name a few, sorry i cant remember the other names... I would recomend the hotel to everyone.. We were upgraded on arrival to pool villa. Absolutely wonderful having this magical pool complex at your doorstep. Of several resorts in Phuket we've stayed in, this was our pick. Access to Kata was very good but the resort is nicely away from the bustle of the town. Food was great as well. Top breakfast. Only down for us was people smoking at brea […] kfast. Les mer

Excellent stay, although the hotel is a ten minute walk from the beach, there is a free bus from the hotel every hour. We stayed in a private pool villa which was superb, and we enjoyed the privacy of our own space. saying this, the pool access villas would be a great alternative. In all it was an excellent vacation.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The water in the swimming pool is crystal clear. I didn't smell any chemical, and I can open my eyes comfortably under the water for a long time without any irritation.

It was absolutely beautiful!!! We stayed in the Private pool villa, as an upgrade from the pool access Villa while my parents stayed in the pool access. Both were awesome rooms. Private pool villa was exactly that, very private, which was really nice. Ir was huge and felt very romantic, huge bath, outside and inside showers, extremely spacious. Bathrooms […] in pool access villa were the same for my parents which was great. You could shut out the whole resort easily if you wanted to. Stunning gardens to walk through and a great pool winding throughout the resort. Unfortunately it rained everyday, pretty much all day, but the pool was so warm and appealing we managed quite a few swims. All staff were extremely helpful and work hard to minimise the language barrier. Quite a good location, not far a walk to anywhere in Kata. We stayed in Kata, Karon and Patong and would definitely return to Kata if we return and would stay at the Metadee for sure! Jackie and Golf were great fun at the cocktail bar and did a mean Pina Colada. The place is relatively small and we loved that about it. Great western and asian breakfast. Les mer

The hotel is beautiful, the pool is very clean & runs the length of the complex which is cool. The breakfast is lovely, & set out in a clean air conditioned room, which is nice as it felt more hygienic than the other place we stayed in. We had a private villa which added to the luxury!

The Metadee is a fabulous place to stay. We had conecting rooms as we have two young children. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and cleaned every day. Ours was a deluxe with pool view. The breakfast was lovely, really good variety of Eastern and Western foods. The staff were very friendly, espceially towards our three year old daughter, she received […] no end of attention! The General Manager (Tomy) gave us a warm reception on arrival and she would come along to see our little girl nearly every day and chat to her or take her for a stroll around the grounds. The pool is absolutely superb. It is so large and beautiful, with a landscaped garden around the sides and little islands of shrubs through it as well as waterfalls. There is a small enclosed childrens pool within the main pool, which our children loved. Even when it rained and we couldn't go to the beach, it was great to be in the pool. It is also well maintained, with staff regularly removing leaves etc. All the grounds are well maintained, and the toilets by the pool kept clean. The is also a pool bar. The Metadee is at the end of a cul-de-sac so there is no through traffic. There is a free buggy service that goes to the end of the street whenever you want to go to Kata. There is hourly transport (free) to kata beach and only a short walk back (5-10 mins). You can arrange taxis from the hotel to other places of interest. We only had dinner at the restaurant once. The food was very good. We loved the Metadee. Les mer
