In this struggling economy, Saddleback Inn was painted, clean, beautiful. The bar area has old wood beautifully taken care of. The staff, very friendly, the owner was in the lobby/bar area, making sure all customers were taking good care of. You could see that the owner loves his property and takes very good care of it.

We were staying there for the Xmas break and had a wonderfull time. Very nice and cosy warm cabins that defy any outside temperatures. great dinner service with the option to listen to some local live music with a drink at the bar. Only downside the really basic breakfast service, you're better off taking your breakfast at one of the places in front […] of the lake. Les mer

Excelent location and the hotel staff is very nice. The restaurant for dinner is very good. Overall conditions of the hotel are acceptable, it needs more maintanance. Our room was spacious but a little bit run down. The breakfast was pretty bad.

My wife and I stayed at the Saddleback Inn for the 4th of July. We love Lake Arrowhead for the summer concerts, excellent shopping, dinning, and of course the fireworks display. The Saddleback Inn is in a very good location, literally at the entrance to Lake Arrowhead Village. The staff are great. The hotel is clean, and quiet, but a bit old. Every […] room has a unique motif - ours was 'The Dodgers'. The room was on the second floor. It was nice but the floor was not quite level. Everything literally slanted to one side. That took a bit getting used to. If you are looking for a nice, clean, inexpensive weekend getaway, then The Saddleback Inn is an excellent choice. I'll definitely come back! Les mer

I took my husband to Saddleback Inn for our Anniversary. We loved it! The price was right and the surroundings were beautiful.

It is not the Ritz, but We Loved it. really comfortable, the decoration was nice n simple, we stayed in a cabin with three rooms and a small patio. All three of us loved our rooms, the jacuzzi is a really nice size, very relaxing and we had no problems at all. A nice and simple breakfast of eggs, potatoes, toast and sausage patti with coffee, milk or […] orange juice and the kids can have cearel. Just loved the cabin the only bad thing we experienced was two employees who were a bit on the grump side but otherwise the staff was friendly and helpfull. The hotel is so close to arrowhead village that you can walk to it, there is shopping, feeding ducks and a ferri really beautifull. Overall we would recomend for our friends to stay there we had an awesome time and were given gift certificates for half off that are good any time. Can't wait to go back!!! Les mer

We enjoyed our stay in one of the separate cabins. It was a little dated but very comfortable. The heater was on and off a lot but called and they came immedately. The grounds were well maintained. The ladies at the Front Desk Karen and Heather were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a little weak; eggs were pebble like and an upgrade on the […] bread would be nice. The place was great overall, staff is excellent, rooms are very good but the bed mattresses suck a little. Right across the street from Arrowhead Village was a plus. I would stay here again, but maybe sleep on the floor.

its an older place but i loved the charm. think grandmas cottage. loved it.

Cozy room for a romantic getaway. You have the fireplace and two person jacuzzi. Very close to the shopping village with free concerts during the spring/summer months. The breakfast was yummy too. Only negative was the restaurant for dinner. Liked it better when it was the Raven's Nest as the food was better quality (choices like duck) and the service […] was quicker. But the staff at the hotel seemed to work very hard at making sure you enjoy your stay. Have stayed here several times and will come again; especially at these prices. Thanks Hotels.com Les mer

Very nice staff and great people at the desk. close to all activities and really great value for the super room.

We were disappointed. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. There was only one available outlet in which to plug in two phone chargers and a laptop. There was no coffee pot - we brought our own and had to drag a chair into the bathroom to set it on. Since I was sitting on the toilet waiting for the coffee to be made, I had the opportunity to look […] closely at said chair and see that the space between the upholstery and the frame was filled with dust, crumbs, and who knows what else. The grounds of this cute place looks inviting but the rooms are very out of date and depressing. The staff was very friendly and warm when we checked in. however, when we got to the room the decor looked like it was done in the 70s and the green rug was old and stained, the furniture aside from queen bed was very flimsy and cheap. Took the GF away for a Valentines surprise. Loved the most helpful staff, and the beautiful location. Room amenities were great (spa tub, "fireplace", balcony, etc.). The decor in our room was a little weird though. Typical "Cabin" decor, but with LA Rams sports memorabilia on the walls. ?? Best to ask for a non-sports themed room (I saw Dodgers, Raiders, […] and others) unless you're into that sort of thing. Also beware the location provided by Google Navigation. Was off by about a mile, and a mile of twisty mountain roads is a lot. Thankfully the friendly locals were there to direct us. Les mer

This was a last-minute find for a weekend getaway. The service was friendly and helpful and the room was a cozy rustic hotel with a vintage feeling. I would love to take my family back here some time in the future. Price was great, food was good and staff was very accomodating.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very nice and rustic. We had a fireplace and a 2 person jetted tub. We were looking for a quiet getaway to do some serious relaxing and this was perfect! We were walking distance to shops. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The Saddleback Inn is absolutely beautiful in the fall with colored leaves. The staff was amazing! I told the staff the weekend was a special occasion and they gave us a free upgrade to a king suite cabin. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable with an extra large jacuzzi. The only down side of the cabin itself was the absence of DVD player (tvs […] are rather small too). This usually is not a problem except there was nothing to do in Arrowhead except their shopping center which did not have any entertainment. If you want to actually do something, you need to drive 45 min to Big Bear Lake. Luckily, the hotel has a very nice restaurant with great service and food. Les mer

Room had a musty smell, lightbulbs were not working or missing, lamp on nightstand had no bulb and also no socket, fridge was extremely dirty, bathroom had hair everywhere, sink was broken, faucets were loose, chairs were creaky and not stable, screens were bent and taped, gas fireplace could not be turned off completely. We did not dare to use the […] whirltub. For breakfast there was only coffee and celophane wrapped Danish. For the price you would definitely expect something else. Les mer

The hotel was probably quite the place in its heyday. Still is a nice place to stay close to everything in Lake Arrowhead Village. Although the "continental breakfast" left a lot to be desired a little fresh fruit and juice would have been a major improvement. The rooms could use some major updates, although the jacuzzi tub was a nice it was showing […] a lot of wear and the tiny CRT TV should definitely be replaced. Les mer

The location, ambieance, staff friendliness and vintage of Saddleback Inn is awsome! Walking distance to the Lake Arrowhead Village where one can have a great time shopping and the breath taking views of the lake are trmendous. When we asked about the private beach we were given a map with directions and a pass to use the beach facilities which were […] also fantastic. Upon check in we recieved a warm greeting along with a Thank You note and a gift certificate for a 50 % discount which we plan to use! I had read comments about the "rooms conditions" not be so great, and they could use some updating, however the overall expierance far outweighs out dated wallpaper. Very nice hotel with cute cabins & rooms. Located at the enterance to Arrowhead Village.

This is a fantastic hotel location with great people, food and short walk to the village with shops and entertainment.

The perks are nice (spa tub and fireplace) but to get to my room we had to climb a flight of very steep stairs (inside the room itself)..very odd. Each room has a theme and is decorated as such. The wall paper was torn in many places on the walls and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. I was glad the bathroom window opened at least. There was no closet […] and the dresser drawers were very small so we left the clothes in our suit case. The walls are very thin. I could hear the conversations of those below us quite clearly. Fortunately they didn't stay up past 2:00am. All in all the room is nice enough but very pricey for what you get. But then you pay for location I guess. Note: It says private beach but there isn't one. The lake is a private lake for residents only. Without a pool or spa the amenities are very limited. As for the restaurant, in the past they offered specialties like duck and the atmosphere was very romantic with elegant plating. Now it is quite basic and not the quality they used to have. Perhaps a new chef. I would recommend skipping that place and try Woody's Boat House at the lake. Very good food and better prices with a view of the lake. The continental breakfast consists of coffee and a pre-packaged danish. Not very appealing. Les mer

I love this hotel! I would recommend staying here for anyone interested in a nice quiet getaway. Helpful staff--friendly and cooperative. Great restaurant attached in an ideal setting. Immaculate rooms! Great romantic getaway!

We wanted a romantic quick getaway. The cabin we stayed in was pretty dated, and the tub needed some work. The bed was not comfortable, but we were just happy to be away. The grounds are beautiful and the resteraunt was awesome.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a short weekend vacation. We were in the Poncho Villa cabin. This inn was located perfectly next to the Lake Arrowhead Village Center were we would just walk down and not need to find parking. We loved the large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. I loved the fact that you get an individual cabin. I loved the bathroom and the jacuzzi tub. While the place was clean it could use an updating.

The cabin was clean and cozy. It was a little too cramped (even for 1 person) and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Nice restaurant with friendly staff. I'd stay here again.

Hotel was fine , staff was great.. WI FI in the room was basically non existent, very weak signal, no way to stay connected. The room could use another little night stand (Only one in the room..) But over all a good hotel..

Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Location was within 1 block from the Lake, and the Cottages were very comfortable with a huge jacuzzi tub. Restaurant had very decent food and the price was what you might expect to pay. I will definitely stay there again.

Loved the room and the service. The only thing is that the hotel restaurant is really expensive which in this economy was difficult to justify. I would definitely stay at the Saddleback Inn again.

We stayed here because it was close to the Scout Camp where we were taking a training session but we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the property turned out to be. Each room was so charming, clean and comfortable. Our little cabin was cozy and cute and it was so easy to imagine cuddling up in front of the fireplace during the winter. We will […] be staying here again before our next training and we plan on making this a vacation destination in the future! Les mer

My husband and I have been coming to the Saddleback Inn annually for more than 20 years. It continues to a be charming, romantic vacation spot. Always clean with updated furnishings. We are always made to feel like extra special guests. Close to the village and lake, it's the perfect place to stay in Lake Arrowhead.
