Palazzo Abagnale - Guest House - Sorrento

When we got to the hotel we were told to go to an other location. This was far away from the location described on hotels.com, and a completly different guest house. I've been there just for one night but I can say that the staff is very friendly but a bit inexpert, my room was really clean and very particular (pop style), the hotel location is great, just in the Sorrento center, near to the most popular locals. The breakfast was a bit poor.

We liked this hotel - it's in a good location and they've made it a bit different with some nice splashes of colour and pop art type pictures. A few elements were a bit unfinished, with a few odd wires hanging out here and there, but essentially it was a good find. The staff were charming, the free internet point was handy, and the breakfast was pretty […] good. There's a lift inside the hotel, but there are steps up to the reception area, which was a bit of a pain, but the receptionist gave us a hand with our bags and buggy. We actually had to stay a second night (only one was planned), and as it was low season they gave us a real bargain price, which made the overall stay very reasonable. Les mer

we stayed at Palazzo Abagnale from Oct 13 to Oct 18th, i had booked a room in the annex, when we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to a room in the guest house. Our room was spacious and beautilfully decorated (just like the pictures in their website) The owner Alex and the girls in reception were very friendly and helpfull. We stayed at the annex, which was even better because it was closer to the train station. The girls at the front desk were really nice, although one of them only spoke Italian which was not very useful. It would definitely help to have someone that know more languages. Anyways, the room was modern, clean and comfortable, but a couple of things didn't […] work well such as the refrigerator (didn't work at all) or the shower door was difficult to move. Also, there were workers on the street, right in our window. So, every morning from 8 am we were listening to the electric hammer drill, which drove us crazy because it was impossible to sleep more than 8 am for the big noise coming from outside. Another thing that would help visitors is that if the recepcionist welcomes you with a map and explains you what you can do ( as we had in other Italian cities ). friendly staff and in a great location.

Stayed in the main hotel from July 27 to leaving August 3. We were in room 302 with daughter 17, son 14 (3 of us in total). Room scrupulously clean and decorated in a modern black and white minimalist style which we all liked. Fridge had room for us to store our own drinks and snacks. Location very central, 3 mins from train and bus station, and great […] for walking around Sorrento in the evening. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free wifi and also use of computer in reception, both useful. We had a great holiday - thank-you ! Downsides - stairs up to reception, not a problem for us, but might be for the infirm. Pull-down 3rd bed which I slept in OK, but not the most comfortable for a week. Kids would have appreciated cable TV in the evening since all TV was in Italian ( I did point out we were in Italy after all !). Les mer

Great location in the middle of Sorrento. Staff and the proprietor especially were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and quite funky with different colour highlights per room, ours was Orange. Very highly recommended.

We spent our honeymoon touring the Amalfi Coast and this was a great central location! Very close to the train station and wonderful access to the town center with lots of shopping and restaurants. Our room was very clean and the staff was really friendly. Would definitely go back to this B&B!

The Palazzo Abagnale is a nice hotel in a great location (only a block from Sorrento’s main square). All of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I would have given the hotel better ratings, but for two factors. First, you have to have a room key inserted in your room’s key pad for the lights and Air Conditioning to work. This is a great way […] to conserve energy. However, on very hot days, when it takes 4-6 hours for the AC to adequately cool the room, you don’t appreciate the feature much. Most of our stay, temperature was not an issue; there were a couple of days we came back to the room and it would not cool down until well after we had gone to bed. My only other complaint was with the beds. We had a queen, which was two twin/full mattresses pushed together. Both mattress were worn-out and need of replacement. One mattress had a large depression in the its center (like someone 400lbs or greater had been sleeping on it for sometime. The other mattress sloped from the outside to the center. If the AC and mattress issues were resolved, I would have no problem giving the hotel five stars. Les mer

Our stay at the Palazzo Abagnale - Guest House was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located between the train station and the main square.

Beautiful, modern decorated boutique hotel in the midst of romantic, historic Sorrento. Half a block from the main square, two blocks from the train, and one block from the bus shuttle from the hydrofoil dock. Everything is new so the beds are comfortable and the showers are good. Having holidayed in Sorrento many times I chose Palazzo Abagnale for it's great location in the middle of town. On arrival at 10pm we got a warm friendly greeting and were shown to our room. As I was there with my son I had booked a twin room but this room was a double and I asked to be moved to a twin. After a 10 minute wait I was told nothing could […] be done until the next day and I had to stay in the double room. I asked for a mattress to put on the floor as a stop-gap but again was told that nothing could be done. The young lady was very apologetic and I resigned myself to the situation. On examining the large double bed I found it was actually 2 single beds pushed together with double sheets on top. It was easy to separate and move the beds and share out the sheets and the problem was resolved for the night. I asked myself why the receptionist could not have done this instead of a point blank refusal. In the morning I spoke to the reception, to a different member of staff and she told me very frostily that it was not their fault as the booking did not mention a twin, contradicting her colleague from the night before. I showed my copy of the booking which clearly showed that a twin was booked. She then claimed that their booking was not specific and wrongly named the company (not Hotels.Com) who had made the booking. This was clearly just an attempt to avoid admitting they had messed up. I could see it was pointless trying to have a reasonable discussion with her and dropped the subject. A bad start to my holiday. The room itself was bright blue and white and attractive and very clean. The bathroom was large and there was a very good shower . The bedroom was a decent size but had only one very large chair which was too big to move around this room. There was a fridge which was warm inside on arrival and made the room very hot. After several attempts to adjust the temperature it was clear that the fridge did not work and it had to turned off . Breakfast was adequat Les mer

THE STAFF WERE MOST HELPFUL, THE HOTEL WAS SUPERB, CLEANLINESS, LOCATION, BREAKFAST ETC. COULD NOT FAULT IT.

Palazzo Abagnale is a clean, modern, well designed hotel in the heart of Sorrento. Great area, walking distance from shops and restaurants. There is no elevator leading up to the check-in counter so there is a flight of stairs that lead up to the lobby area & we could hear the street sounds outside (mainly a store alarm that was going off all night), […] but overall it was a great hotel. My husband and I couldn´t have been happier. The guesthouse-annex is a mini apartment complete with everything you need during your stay. The staff isn´t very friendly but you don´t see them unless you go to the main hotel, around the corner, to use the internet. This was our favorite place during our three month stay in Europe.

This hotel was everything I'd hoped - big room, well taken care of, central location, great service. I could not have asked for more. I saw some of the other singles and they appeared to be a bit smaller than mine, but they all looked very clean and well maintained.

Fiz a reserva no hotel Palazzo Abagnale, num "Anex room" e, para minha surpresa, fui mandada para um outro local, a pensão Dimora delle Sirene. Chegamos de trem, com malas e tínhamos ido a pé, e depois tivemos que ir até o outro local, o que levou mais uns 10 minutos caminhando na rua com as malas. O "anexo" é um prédio de apartamentos, e tem alguns […] quartos, muito bons, bem decorados, extremamente limpos, banho bom, mas sem serviço algum, o hóspede fica com a chave da porta do prédio e do seu quarto. Também não tem onde tomar café da manhã, tem que sair na rua. A localização é boa e eu ficaria novamente neste local, mas fica aqui a ressalva de que não avisam no site que se trata de um outro hotel. Les mer

zu einem sehr günstigen Preis, mitten im Zentrum von Sorrento - Ein riesiges Zimmer, toll eingerichtet, sogar mit Küche - Da könnte man ohne weiteres eine Woche Urlaub machen. Sauberes, neues Badezimmer, wobei der Zimmerservice wohl vergessen hat, die Dusche zu putzen (aber wir wollen mal nicht so sein). Parken kann man in einer Tiefgarage um die Ecke […] für Euro 13 Euro pro 24 Stunden. Das bietet sich an, um von Sorrento aus einen Tagesausflug auf Capri zu unternehmen. Les mer

Web.での料金に引かれて予約したのが悪かったのでしょうが、シングルで予約して案内された部屋はTWINルームのコネクティングルームで、外階段の下。 窓は小さな小窓が一つだけで廊下を歩く人から丸見えなので明けることもできす、暗い室内。 階段を歩く音が響き、隣のコネクティングルームの音、声は全て聞こえる。 上階の水を流す音やトイレの音まで全て聞こえます。 全くリラックスできないため、エクストラチャージを了承のうえ、部屋の変更を申し入れますが満室とのことで断られ、3泊の予定を2泊に変更したいと申し入れましたが、全ての料金がHOTELS.COMにチャージされているので返金できないと言われました。 しかし部屋にいるのが苦痛なので、最終日は料金を支払った上でキャンセルしました。 あの部屋を単独で貸すホテ […] ルの姿勢が理解できません。 Les mer
