CRH- Sugar Beach Resort - Kihei

Stayed here for the second time in last 3 years, great place. If I will be back to Maui, I will definitely stay here again. This place has everything you need with one exception - no workout facility. Overall, I definitely recommend this place to anyone. First floor (Lanai) facing Ocean is the best way to go.

Sugar Beach is a well maintained condo that has access to the beach, a pool, and you're right by the road to get to any other point on the island. It matches convenience with comfort. Love this place; right on the beach, centrally located for exploring all of Maui without paying high-end resort rates.

one queen bed was not comfortable. The Sofa bed was the worst . The sofa and chair hadn't been cleaned for years.

I had to arrange a short stay at the last minute and this worked out fine.

it's located at the center of the island, yet it's away from too crowded locations. i really enjoyed nice and quiet stay.

The best thing about this "resort" is its location. The rooms are right over the beach and have good sized lanais. However, it is not really a resort, but instead a bunch of privately owned condos. The condo owners vary in how much attention they pay to the place. The first place we got was a total disaster and luckily, due to my physical disabilities, […] I was able to get it changed. But someone else still received that room which was not supplied with clean sheets, paper, etc. The bed was horrendous, old soft and lumpy and the furniture uncomfortable. The towels have never seen softener and were hard and brittle. I could go on. The second room was much better but I still was uncomfortable with the furniture. The office is only open til five and the people were lacking any sort friendliness, in fact they were downright unhappy when you bothered them. There was no service at all. They claim to have a grocery store, which was a dump inside and had bare shelves. Again, I could go on. Look somewhere else first, there are tons of condos for rent. Les mer

Unit 312 was great, as it was a corner unit and had picturesque views from two angles.

Excellent location, People were friendly. The condo was wonderful. It had everything we needed. Very Clean, comfortable, spacious, and highly recommended. You will love Sugar Beach Resort. Have a great time.

receptionists may need to revisit customer_service101 class. all they are interested in is to hand the packet for the room. it made us feel like the rental agents are the one in-charge of customer satisfaction... like its out if their job description to answer to our concerns.

Hotel is right on the beach with a great view. The rooms are very nice and clean and has everything that one needs. It is also not near the hustle and bustle of the island. So, it is very quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.....

Great hotel for the price. The room was clean and well supplied with everything needed - dishes, towels, etc... We stayed in an ocean front room and the view was stunning. This hotel is centrally located, 15 mins to Kihei by car and 30 mins to Lahaina. We took a cab one night from downtown Kihei and it was only $25. There's a few shops in the complex […] if you need any food, and there's a little restaurant as well. Les mer

I was talking to the concierge when the phone rang. She took the call and turned her back to me and after 5 minutes of this I left. Not even an "excuse me". So I didn't make my purchases there.

We always like the location. We can take long walks on the beach and it is centrally located to everything we like to do on Maui. This was not the best decorated unit we have had (PH36). The carpet was visibly very dirty with many spots, but was cleaned a couple of days later when we objected. We will return again.

Great location for somewhat easy driving access to most regions of Maui. The "hotel" is not a hotel, but a condo building with separately owned apartments. Our particular rental was dated and a bit dingy and unclean. Perhaps others have had different experiences with different rooms.

If you have a car at Kauai this resort is a fantastic hop for sightseeing. The Resort is very nice, rooms are very big and within walking distance to the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful!!!

Just okay...nothing to write home about. Room was clean and had all the basic ammenities. It is a bit of a drive to get to Kihei town, so that is a bit of a downfall to this place. I'm not sure that this quite falls under a 3 star hotel rating.

I would have been nice to know that no maid service was available. Nice to be right on the beach. Bring your beach towels.

We were a family (all adults) that rented 3 different units. The 2 bedroom unit was by far the best. It was on the top floor with a double balcony overlooking the ocean. There was a huge kitchen/dining/living area that had the same view. The kitchen was well equiped with every kind of pot, pan, and utensil it even had oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and […] a basket of spices. In one of the bedroom closets we found beach chairs, an umbrella, noodles, and sand toys. The bedrooms are separated by 2 hallways and a wall between the halls. The dining room seated 6 with another table on the balcony that seated 6. The balcony also had 2 chaise lounges, there was a HD flat screen TV in the living area, there was free internet hookup and each bedroom had a private bath. I would not hesitate to rent this particular unit again. I have no idea what the other 2 bedrooms look like. Since these are condos and owned individually they could be in very different condition. We rented a car directly through Sugar Beach resorts and got a fantastic rate. Everyday we were there we could watch whales spouting and breaching from our balconies. When you leave the airport you will pass a Costco and a Walmart. We bought all our breakfast and lunch items here. If you arrive at dinner time go to Marco's deli on Dairy rd. It is an italian restaurant that we ate at the first night and last night of our trip. It was as good the second time as the first. If you arrive at lunch time, head for the dunes golf course and have the best lunch on the island at the clubhouse. The island is very casual. The dressiest restaurants only require you wear a shirt and shoes. High heel shoes are a waste of suitcase space. Pack light. The feast at LELE is spectacular and worth the $110 PP price. It was the highlight of our vacation. The blue wave restaurant which is down S. Keihi road has a 2 for 1 dinner special if you arrive before 6:30pm. The food was delicious. This condo sits north of the main area of Kihei. It sits on the ocean side of the road unlike many condos in Kihei which are 'across the street' from the beach. The view is fabulous. For dining out, a car is required because this area is removed from the main commercial area of Kihei. If you prefer quiet, this is the place. if you prefer more action […] and restaurants within walking distance, stay towards the south of Kihei. The beach here is not a good swimming beach because of the rocks. However, you certainly can go in the water and rinse off without any problems. Most people who stayed here swam at the pool. Les mer

Sugar Beach Resort was a great condominium choice. We had an oceanfront one-bedroom condo on the 6th Floor. We could hear the soothing sounds of the ocean all night long. We were able to watch the Maui sunset from our balcony! It was a quiet location and the beach stretched for miles in both directions. We would definitely return.

We loved the view and easy access to the beach! The grounds are well maintained. The staff members were all very nice and available to answer questions. This was our 3rd stay at this facility and we look forward to ur next visit to Maui and Sugar Beach!

Edustalla on pitkä hiekkaranta ja hotelli sijaitsee aivan rannalla. […] Hotellilla on myös uima-allas ja lämmin poreamme.
