"Good value for the money"
It was ok nothing to do on site but it worked for what we needed. The price was right and it was a 15 minute drive to the cruise terminal so it was fine. Also close enough to go the the coast for dinner.

"Perfect stay"
Hotel employee was very nice and welcoming. I brought my wife and 1year old son and had no problem or concerns with him after entering the room as it was was clean. Nice, clean, and comfortable with all the things you need for cooking, relaxing, and bathing all in your room waiting for you. Will definitely stay again next year.

It's clean, relatively quiet, and comfortable. However, for the price, I would think they would offer a continental breakfast and it's not as "upscale" as I had been led to believe. Overall, though, I would recommend it.

It is off of the beaten path yet close enough to highways. The staff was amazing. The Internet went down and the owners had the company working all night and day to fix it. We realize this wasn't the hotels fault. The people at the front office give us great tips on where to go for shopping and eating I would stay at this hotel again if I was back in […] the area. Great place to stay. Short drive to Galveston and Kemah. Laundry facilities were very convenient and room amenities as well. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. Will stay here again :0)

"PETS"
We checked in with a pet the clerk saw our pet and we told her we had a 7 pound dog, she continued to check us in. The next evening after another clerk came on duty and it was the night before we left they tried to charge us a $75 non-refundable pet charge. This should have been done when we checked in. They were argumentative and rude.

"Wonderful hotel, weird location"
The hotel was wonderful. We were very pleased with everything about the room. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that there was no breakfast and I was unaware of that. The room is equipped for you to prepare your own breakfast but we did not know that so we were not prepared. The location is about 15 minutes from Galveston and Kemah […] but there is nothing to do in Texas City. Our dinner choices were McDonalds or CiCi's Pizza. I would stay there again just with better food preparation for our room. Les mer
"Very nice, new hotel"
Very nice new hotel we stayed at on a Saturday night. Fully furnished rooms with all new applicances, counter-tops, fridge, flat screen. I was quite impressed. We did make our activities in the Galveston area which was a little far for driving. From the hotel to the beach was about 20 minutes. Based on the distance that Hotels.com lists we were under […] the impression that it was much closer. Galveston hotels are outrageously overpriced in the summer so this was a nice alternative minus the drive. Les mer

Great staff - friendly and very helpful. Convenient location: 20 minutes to beach in Galveston, 15 minutes to Kemah Boardwalk. Supermarket, gas stations, etc are all w ithin about 2 miles. Room was clean and comfortable. Free high speed wired or wireless internet, stove top, full refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher all at a very reasonable rate! I found this room very comfortable and clean. It was a very good price. Better than some hotels I have stayed in. The only thing I didn't like was that the bed sat too close to the wall on one side, it was hard to get in and out of bed. But a very good stay for the price and it was only one night. Very comfy. I would stay again.
"Great overnight stay"
Our hotel stay was great! There was a small tv issue that was fixed within 15 minutes. Directly after checking in, we went to our room and immediately cut on the tv using the remote. There was a loud "pop" and the tv would not respond. We immediately called the front desk. The very helpful hotel staff came up to our room to check the problem. She confirmed […] that the tv went out and immediately called maintenance for a replacement. The maintenance guy brought another tv within 15 minutes. "Love at first site at Candlewood suites in Texas C"
From check-in to check-out everything was great.Staff friendly rooms are large and fully equipped.My husband and I really love the little hotel store for late night snacks.You are about 15 min. from Galveston and less than an hour from Houston.This was a very good choice.

"Surprisingly god"
I'm no expert, but I think that "2-star" is deceptively low. The room was nicer than some apartments that I've called "home", and when I asked for an east-facing room the desk clerk cheerfully said "let me see if there's one available" and changed my booking to it. The only criticism I have is that the compressor in the AC unit rattled a bit, but my […] fiance and I are both sound sleepers, so that's a minor quibble at most. Fantastic value for the money. Hotel is quiet and comfortable. Rooms have a kitchen, but not to worry, Krogers is 1 block away. Also this hotel is easy drive of 15 miles from Galveston.
"Surprisingly very, very nice!"
This hotel is extremely nice for a 2-star hotel. The pet area is very clean and well-kept. My room was perfectly clean and surprisingly roomy for the price tag. The rooms have a full kitchen including a stove, sink, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker (as well as a granite-like countertop and tasteful cabinets). The layout of the room is […] very well designed and the furniture is nicer than most. The room has nice, premium flooring (wood veneer, nice carpet, and very nice tile in the bathroom). The towels are nicer than those I've had at 4-star resorts. My room has a 32" LG LCD TV and a Sony DVD player. This room is nicer than the 1-bedroom condo I used to own. The free wifi isn't bad either (I'm using it now to write this review). Overall, I was very, very satisfied with this hotel. Les mer
