Rodeway Inn Baltimore - Baltimore

HOTEL SEEMS IS BEING REMODELED AND HAS SOME ROUGH EDGES. CABLE TV WASNT WORKING. TEMPERATURE WASNT ADJUSTABLE IN ROOM. LOW COST AND NEIGHBORHOOD LOCATION MADE IT WORK FOR ME.

i seriously was afraid i would fall down the steps. railings so loose and rickety! very poor continental breakfast

The room seemed clean enough, and the staff was friendly, but it needed severe updating. I guess for the price a night it's ok. One night was ok, 2 nights was too long.

Location of the hotel is very good. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel. This bus is a free circular bus that goes around city (very useful). But the hotel building was a bit uncomfortable. My room was located in 4th floor and there was no elevator. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay... They offer free breakfast :)

This hotel was a nightmare. It was located in a bad neighborhood and my room was filthy. The workers were rude and parking was very hard to find.

I was in Baltimore for a 5 day conference that would take up most of my time. Rather than drop the money on a room where the conference was held, I opted to stay about a 1 mile walk away. The hotel is in the very safe and historic Mt. Vernon district of Baltimore. It felt safe enough that I was comfortable running in the neighborhood by myself at night. The […] room itself was older and clean. The cleaning person severely overdid it with the orange deodorizing spray to the point that I had to open the window. This was a problem, because the window would not stay open. I used the hotel's ironing board to prop the window. While propping the window open, I noticed that the lock on the window was broken. Since the room was on the second floor, I was not overly concerned, but I did wedge the same ironing board in the window to keep it locked when I left in the morning. There was no thermostat in the room and the room was extremely hot. Conversely, the water in the hotel room was cold in the shower for about 10 minutes, at which point in becomes scaldingly hot. There is no parking, only on the street, however, the neighborhood is great! The people are nice and friendly. As a native Baltimore girl, I loved the area and the ambiance of the older hotel. ONly down fall was no hot water, wasnt ice, but wasnt what I liked anyway. Service was great. Hotel was amazing. Can't beat the price!

ALTHOUGH THE HOTEL STAFF WAS ACCOMMODATING I WAS NOT IMPRESSED BY THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE HOTEL BUILDING ITSELF WHICH IS WHY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOUR HOTEL TO ANOTHER TRAVELER.

I was in town for one night for an interview and this place was perfect. For the price the room is comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

this hotel was awful.. the room was VERY dirty, no ac/or heat controls in room. couldn't open window, it was extremely warm in there... the building itself was rundown, and I think the staff lives there. plus there was people sleeping on the couch by the front desk.. Good value for the money. At bus stop for free local bus to inner harbor area. Walk from light rail stop is 6 blocks, not 2 as they say. Light rail is a great way ($1.60) to get into town from the airport. Free internet in the room. Windows don't open, but the air was ok in the room over night.

The people at the front desk were very nice, it made up for the bad maintenane service. The light in the bathroom was not working in my room. The elevator was not functioning. I was then transferred to another room. The breakfast was good.

I had chosen this place due to it's charms (I love old buildings) but this was literally like traveling back in time of the 1940's.. Living in the past. Pros: - Walking distance to the Charm City circulator (we rode it from the Baltimore Penn Station to the inn). This bus takes you pretty much in all points of Baltimore for FREE. It was literally crossing […] the street (east coast streets are not as big as Las Vegas streets, for sure). - Walking distance to historical points --- near by the Inner Harbor that has the shopping/restaurants and the aquarium. - Complimentary breakfast: you can make your own waffles. Cons: - It will take you a long time to just take a shower, as it felt like the water was just sprinkling instead of a full blast. - NO ELEVATOR!! -- caution to those that need access. We were on the 4th floor which requires a trek to get to the top.. had to make sure I didn't forget anything. - Very weak central air!! There was also a fan in the room but make sure you're not in the room during the day because it's going to be REALLY hot in the room. I made a reservation in this hotel for one night and found a mouse in my original room. I transferred rooms and there were mice in there too. DO NOT STAY HERE, it is filled with mice and rude employees who continued to accuse me of hallucinating these mice and refused to address the issue. Money will better be spent at another hotel.

I'm Korean and I stayed at this hotel with my sister. though I don't have much money for a trip, I looked for not an expensive hotel and I found Rodeway Inn. after getting off the light rail, I could find the Inn in 10 minutes. service was good. because there is even circulation bus, you can go everywhere in Baltimore easily. also that bus is free. […] what a bus!! I went to the innter harbor by bus. it was a good hotel and I wanna go there again if I go to Baltimore. just one bad point is the pressure of water and internet signal was so weak cuz we stayed on the fourth level. anyway, thanks for everything! they were very kind :D Les mer

If you are a guy or couple of guys taking a trip without the spouses or girlfriends, are on a budget, and are feeling a bit Bohemian, this is the place for you in downtown Baltimore. Guys, your wives or girlfriends would not like this place. It is located in a middle class mixed residential neighborhood. I felt safe but your wife might not, mainly at […] night. Only a mile walk downhill to the Inner Harbor sites and Camden yards. The Baltimore Basilica a few blocks away - a must see. A great free tour. Back to the hotel. No designated parking; you park on the street for free. I managed to get a spot right in front of the hotel, so no problem. Also a free bus you can catch outside down to the harbor so you don't have to walk. Hotel has 4 floors. The elevator doesn't work, so you do a lot of stair climbing. The hotel staff were great and will help you with your bags. Try for a 2nd or 3rd floor room. They put me on the 4th floor to start. Very little a/c, portable fan in the room, very little water pressure, lukewarm water. After 1 night I objected and they moved me to the 1st floor. Lot's of a/c, better water pressure and temp. But lots of street noise. Only quiet from midnight to 6am. Breakfast nook was minimalist with no place to sit; carry your food to your room. Cereal, breads, make your own waffle, juices, coffee, and hot tea. Good coffee but small coffee cups. Bring your own Starbucks cup and fill it up! Only whole milk. I suggested they get skim or 2% but didn't while I was there. Fridge in room. A small grocery up the street where you can buy beverages, ice cream, etc. I might stay there again if by myself on a leisure trip due to location and price but would try for a room on the 2nd or 3ed floor. A good French bistro restaurant about 3 blocks away. Les mer

If you can afford few extra bucks get another motel..This was probably the most shady motel that I have ever stayed..It is not that cheap anyways,,so DONT STAY HERE!

The rodeway inn hotel was farmost the worst place i have ever stayed when traveling. The hotel smelled old and mildewed, the tv was a 19" inch 1990 model with buttons missing, their was only a choice of 3 channels, the best was not pillow top, the room was very small, the shhets and quilt didin't smell fresh, the hot water took 10 minutes to warm up […] if you lucky, there was a half roll of toilet paper through the entire stay, the continental breakfast was repetitive and gross. Management showed no concern and made no effort to make my stay comfortable no matter how many times i brought it to their attention, the only reason i stayed was because i had no where else to go all the others hotels in the surrounding area was booked. I would never recommend anyone to this hotel. Sign frustrated, rip-offed, and totaly displeased. Les mer

Baltimore's Rodeway Inn is in an excellent location but it is an older hotel and the rooms, while clean and comfortable, are not a destination in themselves. For the price, however, it can't be beat. One concern is that there is no on-site parking. The desk clerk directed me to free street parking across the street, but this is a residential area and […] spaces are at a premium. There may be a garage within a couple blocks , but that would still be inconvenient. The parking situation was a surprise since I thought the Hotels.com Web site listing indicated free guest parking, which I inferred was associated with the hotel. The hotel was a little rundown but for the price it was worth it. The breakfast nook was tiny and there was no seating -but the breakfast was good. There is a free bus to the Inner Harbor that stops right across the street which was very appreciated.

I would like to Thank the desk clerk both day and night. If it had not have been for them being so helpful I may not have stayed. The day man went way out of his way to help with parking and with finding a place to order food. The night man was also very helpful in getting us a cab to make my appointmemts at John Hopkins Hopital. Would stay there again […] just because of these two very great men. Thanks Ed and Dale S. breakfast is pretty bad, but you'll get coffee. Very close to the JHMI Shuttle so you can save on cabs! All rooms are non-smoking which is great!

The hotel is decent. A little aged but the rooms are big, everything works and it is clean. The breakfast is good and the service is great. If you don't need a 5 star hotel I highly recommend this hotel for its price, location and ease

Room was strangely configured. No elevator. No place to sit for breakfast. Lots of street noise. Staff tried to be helpful.

The pictures online seemed misleading once we arrived. The architecture was very odd and more importantly very worrisome when thinking about emergency routes for exiting in an emergency. This hotel is decent for the price. The location is excellent. You can walk to everything or easily catch the bus. There's a nice little park down the block. Only drawbacks: very cramped shower with a wide showerhead that gives you no space away from spray; and an incredibly loud bathroom fan.

Die Personen am Empfang waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr alt. Der Holzfußboden erzeugt beim gehen eine starke Geräuschentwicklung. Deshalb konnten wir die 2 Nächte kaum schlafen. Außerdem war die Eismaschine im Flur sehr laut und wurde die ganze Nacht hindurch genutzt. Im Bett wurden sowohl Haare fremder couleur als auch verschiedenartige, […] von Flüssigkeiten erzeugte Flecken entdeckt! Taschen und Gegenstände wurden vom Zimmerservice eigenständig bewegt. Das Bad ist sehr klein und es gibt keinen Fön. Das "Frühstück" muss im stehen oder im Zimmer eingenommen werden. Das Hotel bietet keine kostenlosen Parkplätze. Dieses Hotel ist wohl nur für Festivalerprobte zu empfehlen. Les mer

While I had little time to spend in the room (I was there for a 5-day conference), I very much enjoyed my stay. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The self-service breakfast was good, with fresh waffles. I chose this hotel because the conference hotel was so expensive, and I really don't regret it.
