Svært fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet , meget serviceminded personell , god frokost , mulig litt støy i spisesalen , men helt grei mat. Svært hyggelige og imøtekommende personell , både i skranken , og butikken eller han som satte vekk bagasjen. Lett å få tidlig innsjekking og sen utsjekking . Alt i alt , meget bra. Savnet minibar på rommet eller i alle fall et kjøleskap , men ellers var det ismaskin i gangen. Selv i New York var det mulig å få et stille rom.

Familie med to tenåringsdøtre. Fantastisk beliggenhet, flott service og komfortable rom. Suite Prestige med to dobble senger. Vi anbefaler dette hotellet sterkt om noen vil bo sentralt og vi er ikke i tvil om hvor vi skal bo neste gang. Det koster noen penger, men i forhold til beliggenhet og det du har igjen så er det ok.

Rene rom og god service - men veldig små rom. Måtte ha den ene kofferten på badet for å få plass. Men renholdet er viktigere enn størrelsen. Veldig bra beliggenhet og gåavstand til mange av hovedgatene på Manhatten.

Veldig bra opphold over 4 dager. Frokosten var grei nok. Vår datter på 15 var veldig fornøyd. Veldig god service i resepsjonen. Egen turistinformasjon som kunne gi mange tips til aktiviteter. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Billig hotell som ligger svært nær NYC. 2 minutt å gå til t-banen. Med t-banen tar det 5 minutt til Fifth Avenue. Rommene er helt greie. Rengjøringen er bra. Vi fikk også utsikt mot NY skyline fra hotellrommet. Ser det er noen kommentar rundt mangel på plasser i frokostrommet - vi var der i påsken i fem netter og fikk sitteplass hver eneste morgen […] (ulike tidspunkter hver morgen). Greit nok at det er litt trangt, men det går helt fint. Internett er inkludert og gratis, men det er som regel fullt (og ikke mulig å koble seg på) mellom 07.00 og 10.00, samt noen ganger på kveldstid. Det trekker litt ned. Alt i alt et bra hotell med god valuta for pengene. Les mer
"Nice hotel with nice and helpful staff"
Spent over one week at this hotel, and would stay here again. :) Just a short walk to the tube, and just two stops from Manhatten. We also walked to Astoria from the hotel, no problem! :)

Positivt: -nærme t-banen(100m) -fint bad -veldig gode senger -gratis trådløst nett, selv om det til tider var treigt. Hotellrommet hadde mørke farger interiørmessig, gulvteppene var mørkegrønne/brune og virket skittne - men følte ikke for å gå barbeint der. Det var heller ikke taklys på rommet, kun tre små bordlamper noe som gjorde rommet enda mer […] mørkt! Hotellrommet var støvette, og de rengjorde ikke mer enn de måtte. De redde sengen, og skiftet håndduker, men de vasket bare rundt dine ting og flytta de ikke en millimeter. Aircondition er veldig bråkette, og ikke spesielt helsevennlig. Vi fikk nese og hals problemer av den. Det virket som de ansatte skrudde den av dersom de kom over at den sto på. Den var hvertfall alltid skrudd av når vi kom hjem på kvelden. Frokosten er utrolig dårlig!! Rommet frokosten serveres i er veldig lite, og frokosten er selvbetjent noe som fører til mye rot, og skitt. De har 2 typer pålegg, smør, donuts(i mange varianter), loff, kaffe og er du heldig er det igjen litt appelsinjuice. De reklamerer med safe, men denne er ikke så safe. Den er umontert inni i klesskapet, men veier så lite at det er bare å ta med seg safen under armen å gå, vi lot være å bruke den, og hadde heller tingene stående på rommet. Det funket fint det og! Selv om hotellrommet ikke var så trivelig, så kan jeg dra tilbake igjen. Det er ikke så mye man er på hotellrommet i New York, og at hotellet bare er noen stopp fra Manhattan, og noen dollar unna med taxi trekker mye opp! Les mer

Veldig flott og nytt hotell, like utenfor Manhatten. Hotellet ligger i et litt falleferdig område, og det var ikke noe kjekt å gå der om kvelden. (ville ikke gått alene i disse gatene) Vi bodde her 4 dager. Det var 2 minutter å gå til Subwayen, hvor vi kjøpte Metro kort og tok subwayen til alle attraksjoner. (det er kun 3 stopp fra Time Square, Central […] Park og shopping) Subway kortet kostet 10 doller daglig eller 27 doller en hel uke. "Not what was expected"
I chose this hotel because it had parking. No parking was available and I had to park on the street. When I asked about alternative parking I was told to put my name on a list and if someone moved out I would be contacted, I was number 10 in line. If you're going to advertise parking, make sure it is identified as limitted
"Good enough"
Although close to the 21st street Queensbridge station on the F line, the neighborhood around it looked shady. But good enough for the price and proximity to NYC.

"4-day Christmas stay"
Overall, the hotel was very good. It was only a 2-block walk to the subway that allow you to get to Time Square within about 25 minutes (that includes the time it took to walk to the subway, wait for the train and the short ride into the city). Further, the room was very nice. However, you need to be aware that the neighborhood is a bit on the edgy […] side. "Bes Western NY, Queens"
The hotel was ok, we stayed for a night only with three kids. The room was small but ok for only one night. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was include, but a bit disappointing, the minute maid juice dispenser were out of order. I would rather have paid for the breakfast and have better options....than the free petty […] one. Overall good value for the money! Les mer
Great clean cheap hotel for New York. Room was nicer than most Best Westerns & could not believe the roominess for a New York hotel. Neighborhood looked schetchy, but we had no problem going to & from the subway, which was one block away. We spent all of our time in Manhattan, so this was perfect for us! Poor neighborhood. Not a terribly convenient location. The hotel seems to cater to a backpack sort of crowd which is OK but wasn't quite what we were expecting. Staff was OK, had a little trouble ordering taxis, though. The property is reasonably clean and neat and exceeded out expectations in that respect. Sketchy neighborhood, wouldn't take subway at night. a lot of the staff couldn't speak english...hard to catch a yellow taxi from the street.

"Best Western Queens"
Really like the hotel, it was clean, quiet, and easy access to the subway(2 blocks away) and easy access for cabs from Manhattan. They even have an underground garage, small but great if you can snag a spot.

Our room was clean and nice so nothing to complain about there. We mostly booked this hotel because it's a lot more expensive to stay on manhattan. If you're in NY to visit manhattan mainly, but want to save some money on your hotel - this is a good way. The subway is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and gets you straight to rockfeller center etc.. […] for only 2,50$ and with a taxi it costs you about 10-15 $ (including tip) and that summons you right on times square so it's not far away. Would recommend it to others. Take a taxi if going home late at night though, the neigbhorhood could be a bit scary at night. Breakfast wasn't much and I can confirm what others say, space is small and crowdy. "Good night sleeps"
Pros: We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights alsmot feel like home! A nice place to have a good night sleep after long walks in Manhattan. Close to subway and convinient to get around. Room is just a good size, not too small not much spaces as well. Bed is very comfortable although I don't know why they provide 3 pillows on a double bed. Cleaner is honest […] as we leave everything behind whenever we go out. Neighbourhood does not seem the best but we always feel save. Receptionist staff is friendly. Cons: Shower leak therefore the shower floor is always wet after shower. Breakfast is really bad quality especially the orange juice which tasted like water. Breakfast staff is also not as friendly. We only had 1x breakfast out of our 5 nights stay. Cleaner only provides 1 toiletries for 4 of us so we had to ask the receptionist each time. Also very important feedback for the hotel management, we took the stairs to go down a few times and found garbage bags are everywhere on the fire staircase. Not only the fire escape is stinky but I know in some countries it is illegal to block the fire escape ways. Les mer
"excellent hotel - no complaints"
The best western plaza long island city is an excellent hotel without the Manhattan prices. It takes 10 minutes on the subway, which is located a few hundreds metres away to get to central Manhattan. Alternatively you can walk over the queensborough bridge, although busy with traffic, there is a designated pedestrian lane and great views of Manhattan […] and Roosevelt island. The area itself doesn't appear great but we never had any trouble or felt unsafe at night so would say that there is nothing to worry about, even getting the subway home. Breakfast is fine, if you are happy to grab a bagel or a doughnut and a coffee in a Styrofoam cup on your way out for the day then its perfect. There aren't enough tables for the number of hotel rooms vita we found we didn't want to sit around anyway, we wanted to see the sights! You can take breakfast back up to your room or out with you for the day too. The rooms are quiet, clean and neat and the sheets are changed everyday. the shower was amazing and everything you needed was included. All in all a great stay with no complaints at all and would def recommend this hotel! Les mer

When I called hotel in advance to check about parking, I was told that there are about 30 parking lots. But when we arrived, we found parking with up to 10 places, and no place was available. The best thing of the hotel is the nearest subway station (1 block, line F). I also drove to manhattan by car, and you will need only 12 minutes to Brodway and Radio City. This hotel is super convenient for getting into the city, as the F train only takes a couple minutes to get to the major sights of the city and it goes through a few stations that connect with practically any of metro. For the price, considering it's NYC, the hotel isn't bad, but it's a bit run down, and some things are broken. My tv was broken, so […] eventually they moved me to another room. The elliptical machine was broken, and the tv in the exercise room didn't work. If you want to be close to Manhattan and to LaGuardia airport, it is a good hotel. The breakfast room was crowded as were the elevators but there really wasn't a problem. The neighborhood was not as bad as some others would indicate.

About a block away from the nearest subway station, and within 10 minutes you are in Manhattan Island, shopping, walking and site seeing. Cab ride cost about $10+tip if you don't want to confusion of public transit. The neighborhood is sketchy, but I don't think I was in any danger. There was a mother walking around with 3 children, so it can only […] be so scary. The rooms are clean and all the amenities are there. The shower is a bit on the low pressure side, so don't expect to get a great shower. The bed is on the very soft side, and squeak when moving around in bed. The noise level is acceptable, but I am sure your neighbors definitely know what you are doing if you are on the wide side. The wide was not desirable, but for the price and knowing my location this shouldn't be a decision point. For almost 1/2 the price of any hotel on Manhattan, I would recommend this hotel. Les mer

This was my family's first trip to New York so we were not sure what to expect. I was impressed with the level of customer service that my family received during our stay! On our first night, we had a hard time getting a cab. The hotel clerk came from behind the desk, went outside and got a cab for us. She even printed out directions for him to get […] us to our destination! Whenever we needed more towels or toiletries, the staff was efficient about getting them for us. The hotel was fairly new, very clean, and had plenty of parking. The breakfast was sufficient. Plenty of pastries, cereal, juice, coffee, and fruit. The neighborhood was not glamorous but we felt safe. The F train was only steps away from the hotel and got us to Time Square in about 15 minutes. Affordable alternative to paying top dollar to stay in Manhattan. This is just a block from the F train - just 2 stops off Manhattan. When you're staying in NYC, you don't need much more than a quiet room and comfortable bed for your accommodations, and this place offers both.

"Remodeled Best Western in Long Island City"
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Although the neighborhood is a little sketchy, the subway station is close by making the city very accessible. For the cost of the room compared to Manhattan, it is a great deal.
"Great Base for New York stay"
We stayed at Best Western Plaza for a week in Oct and found it very acceptable. It made a good base without the New York price tag. The room and breakfast were good and it was very easy to get to Manhattan on the metro.

This is not the New York you want to see. Nothing within walking distance, except for the subway station. Towels were in dire need of replacement. Breakfast area overly crowded and not well supplied. Exterior street noise very audible in room - window would not lock tight.

The breakfast room was far too small for the number of people staying at the hotel, every morning there were no empty tables, many people took food and drink back to their rooms. The breakfast was the worst we experienced ever; no waffles, porridge, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt or de-caffeinated coffee. Most mornings they ran out of one or more things […] such as cream cheese, jam or even bread, the guy replenishing stocks could not keep up and sometimes gave up. The maid had a vacuum cleaner but was so rushed (she had to run to do her job) the hallway carpets never got vacuumed all the time we were there and had obviously not been for some time before. "The BW Plaza Hotel in NYC - lots of advantages"
The hotel is close to the subway and just a short ride to Manhattan, Yellow Cabs can be hailed in front of the hotel, an adequate breakfast is provided, they provide a concierge service which is helpful for many things, very close to LaGuardia Airport, adequately clean, nice beds. Very good price relative to similar hotels. Neighborhood is not appealing, […] however, I didn't feel threatened (I am a middle-aged woman with young grandchild in tow). I used Yellow Cab, rather than subway, to return to hotel if it was after dark. I would recommend this hotel to practical travelers who want lower prices, yet nice clean accomodations, and are not skiddish of the neighborhood environment. Les mer
