the hotel has the very best location in old town plaka and is in walking distance to everything and also easy access to and from airport via the metroline which stops at monastiraki obly 100 meter from hotel. very friendly and helpful staff and also i was very satisfied with the breakfast buffet.fantastic roof terrace with acropolis view

Vi er veldig fornøyd med oppholdet vårt. Det er gå-avstand til alle fasiliteter, fine tavernaer og markedsplass. Personellet er spesielt hyggelig, de hjelper deg med alt du måtte spørre om. After staying in a business hotel in the city, we moved to spend the weekend in center of Athens. It is within walking distance to "everything", and the quality of the hotel surprised us all in a postive way. The roof terrace was tremmendous, and in summertime it must be a very nice place to start of the social evening! The breakfast was good, the rooms […] modern and quiet surriondings in the night. The bar is standard, cheap, and employees friendly! Also there is a free WIFI on the room! For a weekend strole in the town, I really want to reccomend this hotel, both for coulpes, friends and even business related stay. I will return to this hotel next time I am visiting Athens! Les mer

Veldig mye for pengene her ! Grei beliggenhet i forhold til alle markedene. Hvis du er heldig og får et av rommene med balkong i øverste etasje, har du god plass også ! Stayed at this hotel a few years ago but it has been refurbished since then and what a difference it has made. The room was very comfortable and sound proof due to the new windows. The breakfast offered was fresh and replenished regularly with a good selection. Will stay again when we visit next year and highly recommend it.

The Hotel is centrally located to most everything in Athens you'll want to see. It's located in more of a residential area (open air market right outside the door and meat market up the road) and the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, but during the day was fine. The people at reception - Olga, Tonia and Vasilis were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A good choice at breakfast and the location is great- very near the metro and within walking distance of many attractions. What more can I say? Book it!

The breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable/helpful, and in a walkable location for the sites in Athens. The major downside in our opinion were the noise (the market right outside the window had vendors setting up their stalls beginning quite early, and there was a very loud dance party the Saturday evening we were there which […] could have been an anomaly, but could also have been a local bar). Only a short walk from a lot of the key attractions and minutes from the metro, the Athens Centet Square was a real find. Very friendly staff execs ally the lovely Olga. The room was more than adequate and exceptional value for money. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside it's great. We got a free bottle of wine on arrival. Our room was fantastic. Great bathroom. Great location for shopping, restaurants & tour buses & metro to the Port. Breaskfast included was great too.

This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of all the main sights. The roof bar was an unexpected bonus with great views, and we were invited to have breakfast early as we were checking out at 6am. Sleep quality was also excellent

This hotel is located in between the Psyrri and Omonia neighbourhoods in the middle of a produce market. The area is ok but I wouldn't walk around on my own at night as I wouldn't feel safe.The hotel itself is really great. I stayed at the Athens Center Square Hotel on two separate occasions in June 2012- for 5 days initially, and once more after travelling elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's very clean, modern, and the best deal for similarly priced rooms in Athens (I should know, I've stayed at some real crap places!) It's centrally located, […] a short walk up from Monastiraki metro. The fruit/veg market is a very vibrant place during the day, and the hotel is located just outside. You might read about how it's shady over there etc, and while there are some not great parts of athens where you wouldn't want to go on your own at night, I think you're very safe here. I'm a young woman who stayed alone here and never felt like I was in danger. The room was good- very clean and comfortable. On my last night I stayed in one of the bigger rooms on the top floor- it was absolutely gorgeous. The balcony had views of Lycavittos hill, the bathroom was enormous, there was a huge comfy bed and a complimentary bottle of wine. I also liked how there were fridges in each room. But where this hotel absolutely excels is its staff. Very kind, helpful people who really know the meaning of 'filoxenia'. Especially Olga- she was so sweet and helpful and really helped make my stay in athens extra awesome. efhadisto olga :) There was also a very nice guy who was a porter I think. Hotel has a great location for viewing the Parthenon. If you stay here be sure to go up on the roof in the evening for a drink and enjoy the view. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, lots of graffiti on the walls, but very active since it is across from the main markets. We enjoyed our stay at the Athens Center Square. The front door of the hotel opens directly onto the local fruit and vegetable market, which made for some interesting exploring. Many of the main sites in Athens are within walking distance (a longer walk for many destinations though) and public transportation is close by. The hotel location is central to many significant must see parts of Athens and in the middle of a large market district as well as being a five minute walk to Monastiraki train station which is part of the Metro system and has a direct line to the Airport. The rest is within walking distance to all that you would need to see, eat and drink. A basic […] breakfast begins at 3am with the full menu coming on from 7 till 10 so my jet lag was quelled as was my insomnia. The rooftop view is magic and although the room seemed smaller than I was used to I soon settled to appreciate it was one small part of a bigger picture. This hotel was in a really central location, 15 minutes walk from the acropolis and all the other sites were with in walking distance although Monastiriki metro station is only 5 minutes away and has a train direct to the airport, The staff were fantastic, they all spoke English which was great as my Greek is shocking, nothing was too much trouble, […] they recommended restaurants, drew directions on maps and talked us through the best places to visit and at what times, The room was what you'd expect for a three star and really clean and comfortable and the shower was great, it can be a bit noisy due to the market outside but great value for money! I was nervous because I saw reviews saying the hotel was in a seedy neighborhood, but I was very pleased with the location and thought it was a great value. It's on a side street that by day serves as a vegetable market. It is a little dark and if you're the nervous type you may be, well, nervous, but I did not feel at all vulnerable going out at night. […] You're a 5 minute walk from the ancient agora, shopping, bars, and restaurants and we could see the acropolis from our room. Good, clean, well located hotel that is great value for money. We had some problems with the room safe, which were fixed quickly. There's a street market below which can be noisy from around 7am. We were on the 6th floor and it wasn't a problem, but it could be an issue if you were lower down. The entrance to the hotel is though the market - at night […] it can feel a bit intimidating, but we didn't have any problems (here, or in the rest of Athens - it felt like a nice city). What really made this hotel were the staff - friendly, knowledgeable, excellent in all regards. Roof terrace has amazing near-360 degree views of the city. After many years of trying I think I've finally found the perfect budget hotel in Athens. There's almost nothing not to like about this one. If you love the real Athens this is a perfect location. I can't think of anything better than walking straight out into the fruit and vegetable market in the morning. A clean modern hotel with excellent service, […] very clean and comfortable rooms, a good breakfast and free wifi. My room was on the market side, but there was no problem with noise. Minus points were tiny. (There was some slight noise from nearby rooms and I wasn't overwhelmed by the 'Easyjet orange' colour scheme.) Finally, one of the great pluses of this hotel is that I could go all the way from my room to the airport (via the metro from Monastiraki) without once having to pick up my suitcase. And speaking as one of those mythical 'single older women' I can confidently say that there's nothing scary about this area. Robbery is always possible for any age and gender at any time of day, but taking simple and obvious precautions can easily take care of that. Very highly recommended. Les mer

Everything was good, nice and neat hotel, cheap price, lovely and helping personnel, rich breakfast, everything You need was near, BEAUTIFUL view to Acropolis from the hotel roof. Metro station was near. We enjoyed our short visit and certainly visit the hotel again.

Our group of nine were very pleased with the hotel. The pros far outweighed the cons. We did have to tote our luggage half a block from from where our taxis dropped us off, as the street was small and just across from a fruit market. But going down the main thoroughfare to get there, there were tents with directions printed on them, in a bright lemon […] green color. It was only 6 blocks from a metro, and closer to a delightful neighborhood with tavernas and good, inexpensive food and local music . The Plaka neighborhood and the Acropolis were within walking distance. Some travelers not used to urban areas might be a bit apprehensive of the neighborhood by night, as There were homeless bedding down at the metro station. The rooms, by European standard, were large; great showers; a welcome bottle of wine greeted us. We could adjust our heat in each room. The included breakfast was substantial, including eggs and bacon. Though the rooftop bar was closed for the winter (we were there in November) the roof was open and had a spectacular vieiw of the Acropolis lit by night. The staff was very helpful...they even had a box of adapters and converters. Free wi-fi in the room...and a great shower. We all agreed we'd stay here again. Les mer

The hotel staffs were nice and free wi-fi was fast. Also the bathroom was nice, and the wardrobe was super (there was a light in the closet)!!!! Plus, I didn't hear any noise at night or in the morning, even it's close to the central markets. I was very satisfied with the hotel, except the buffet breakfast (bacon tastes like rubber band), and the cereal […] wasn't edible at all. Btw, the hotel does't have a restaurant/room service for food, the only option you got is Domino's. I know it sounds odd, but the delivery is really fast, no more than 30 mins, and the price is cheap. At first the hotel was hard to find because the location shown on google map was wrong, it was another hotel, not Athens Centre Square. Later I found out they advertised on Kiosks, but it was really hard to see at night. The surrounding neighborhood seems doggy, but I had no problems with walking to hotel at night (2 girls). Metro line 3 (Blue line) from airport to Monstriraki for 8 EUR, then walking to the hotel for about 5-8 minutes. Taking a taxi from the hotel to the airport is about 41EUR. Les mer

We took the metro from the airport to the hotel. Very easy. Escalators rather than steps, so easy to take luggage (would be terrible is escalators not running, because the metro is deep in the ground). Then we walked a few blocks to the hotel. Staff very friendly. Room was ready and they let us check in early, so we took a nap before touring the city. […] It was very interesting visiting the vegetable/fruit market across from the hotel and the meat market (open air) a block away. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel. The location was near Monstraki station and we hopped off of the metro from the airport and it was a short walk to the hotel. The area the hotel was in was a little sketchy because it's actually inside the market. This is fine in the day, but it get's a little deserted at night. I wouldn't say it's unsafe by […] any means, but Athens itself is not that safe so it's good to be aware. I don't know that I would be comfortable staying there with children, but I would stay there as a female alone. Easy walking access to most sights (10-20 min walk). Breakfast had hot and cold food and weak, but OK tasting coffee machines. Staff was very friendly and would tell you where it was safe and where it was not safe to walk at different parts of the day and night. Les mer
