"Perfect gateway to the Berkshires location"
Easy access from Mass Pike Exit 2 and decent surrounding restaurants/conveniences. Low-key, courteous service. No frills, just the essentials and a great price.
Clean and spartan. A good value if all you need is simplicity and convenience.

The motel was fine for what it was - a side of the road motel. For the most part, it was quiet and convenient. The best part about it was the staff - very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned each day and they fixed a light that was out. We were in the area for a wedding weekend and the other hotels and motels were way out of our price range. […] This was more affordable, so in that way it was a good deal, but it is definitely a no frills visit with much to be desired. "Sunset Motel"
The sun has definitely set on the Sunset Motel. The owners are obnoxious and the AC made incredible sounds all night that made sleeping almost impossible. The room was clean enough but the building is old and decrepit. I longed to get home and recover from my stay. I wouldn't recommend the Sunset Motel to my worst enemies.

"Clean, convenient and with a nice pool"
For a place to rest your head and take a dip in the pool this was more than adequate as it was very clean and appeared to be well kept though it lacked any public areas beyond swimming pool. It is opposite a Friendly's and a no. of breakfast places in area and right near the thruway.

The hotel was clean and the pool was great but definitely not worth the price we paid for one nite.
"Fine for the money"
For at least $20 less per night than many others motels, Sunset Motel was quite close enough to our destinations in Lenox and Stockbridge for easy trips. The room was small and not the place to spend much time with a family of four, but was adequate for sleeping. The pool was beautiful. It met my expectations for a low price motel and I would recommend […] it to travelers who just want a place to sleep for one night and would rather spend the $20 saved on some of the fine attractions to be found in the Berkshires. "Okay for a night, but...."
The bathroom was spotless, decent towels. Room was very clean, Bed linens very clean. However, AC not working. Carpeting, bed spreads and blankets were questionable. Person at the front desk seemed very hands on. Perhaps he could lead the effort for a slight upgrade in cleaning.

The room was quite plain, but cheerful, practical and convenient. I really enjoyed the pool to swim in. The refrigerator barely worked and the bathroom feels small and crowded. No coffee in room but I did like having a microwave, good air conditioning and tv.

"Desperate at Tanglewood"
We stayed here so we didn't have to travel after seeing James Taylor at Tanglewood. Thank god we were only there for one night. We paid top dollar for a one bed room then discovered "Earl" (local resident staying at hotel, go figure!) had a room with two beds all to himself......I think he had more beds than teeth! lol Anyway, if desperate in Tanglewood […] I highly recommend....the Gold Bond Powder will have to take care of the rash. "Clean Decent place"
Decent Motel Street appeal=3 Service=4 room=3 (small) Bed=3 (small firm but not rock hard) Bathroom=4 (clean for a motel) The motel is in a great spot. Small rooms but thats ok for an old place. the bed was a full (maybe) def not a Queen. Not too har not too soft. Will stay again when in town.

We were looking for a hotel not far from theater in the Berkshires> this hotel was clean and provided all our needs> iT IS not a 4 star hotel, but if expense is an issue it is NOT a bad choice.

"very basic, but in a convenient location"
The rooms are very small, as is the bathroom. However, it is clean, and the location is central to many activities, including biking, parks, and tanglewood. It is right off 93 and easy to find. If you don't plan to spend much time in the room other than sleeping, it's an economical deal. Many fast food restaurants near by.

"Inexpensive in the Berkshires"
If you want a very reasonable accomodation that is basic but very clean-this is it. The Berkshires are known for fantastic accomodations but most start close to $200 per nite. This is a family operated facility who demonstrate pride and respect.
