Hotel Ganga Kinare - Rishikesh

Middle-standard, clean hotel with a good view on the Ganges river. Some variation in staff's service-mindedness. Good, all-vegetarian restaurant with Indian breakfast. Apart from the river, not interesting neighbourhood. Wifi didn't work. Conclusion: reasonable value for money.

service was excellent. staff was friendly. hotel in a beautiful location. next to river Ganga. hotel let me use their bike for an early morning ride along the river. Fab any to see the city. I would recommend it to everyone visiting rishikesh.

Peaceful location, nice room, comfortable stay and over all we enjoyed it. Negatives were a poor restaurant manager that seemed oblivious to customer requirements and we were woken by unruly guests shouting at 0400 one morning and the hotel did not act to stop this shenanigans when they were informed. the hotel definitly need alot of rework. you always have to ask twice for anything you need and even then the staff doesn't respond to your request. the hotel wasn't that clean: there were yellow stains on the bedsheets, the towels had a brown stain on them, the bathroom lights weren't working and the rooms had a peculiar smell like they haven't been […] cleaned in weeks. not worth the money. There is a need to set expectation when you visit this area. It will not be close to 4 star hotel at all, buroom was big, clean. Resturant at hotel was good, bofe in morning was grate.

My friend and I were looking for a place to wind down and soak in some peaceful relaxation after a long week of sightseeing and battling the streets, heat, and chaos of the region.. We stayed 5 nights and were not disappointed in any way. While the room was clean and adequate, it's was the ambiance ... it was the beauty of the grounds and the Ganges […] flowing by with its lush jungle backdrop that stole our senses--and this, just a few feet from our room on a lovely open air terrace. The food was consistently excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. If I ever return to this region, I will not look further then this 3.5 star hotel with the 5 star ambiance. The hotel is good but the staff is very disinterested.Quantity of food is less and quality too is just OK. The Ganges river view from the hotel is fantastic, especially when the morning sun is rising, so it is too bad and extremely disappointing that the current poor state of the hotel is just terrible. There are too many negative things to describe about this hotel, but the most important to me was all over lack of cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel. I […] was told when I inquired about the renovation, that it was complete, which is hopefully not true. Yes, they might have done an adequate renovation of the lobby (which never seems to be kept tidy and clean), but the rest of the hotel, stairwells, lawn, public balconies, restaurant and guest rooms are run down, scuffed, and in desperate need of painting and a good clean scrubbing. In the restaurant, I watched as they reset the tables between meals and they neglected to wipe them down from the previous guest...even though the table tops were wet with food/beverage spills from earlier eaters. Also, the tables that had a marvelous window-view of the river, were surrounded by dozens of dead flies, which seemed to have been there for awhile and where not cleaned up in the 24 hour period that I stayed there. This lack of attention in the dining area, made me very cautious about what I ate at the hotel, as I was worried that the kitchen was equally as unclean. They're currently doing an unsightly side-lawn renovation with a water feature/fountain near the spa entrance of the hotel, which was sort of ironic....I would suggest they focus their efforts on thoroughly cleaning the hotel and maintaining this cleanliness daily, getting new bed linens, which like other reviewers mentioned on earlier posts, are very stained. This made me wonder that they may have not been washed from the previous guest...even though, they hopefully were. I would also suggest, slapping on a fresh coat of paint on the walls, especially the stairwells which are in desperate need. Hotel is placed on the river Ganges and has a great terrace and garden. Nice place to spend quiet time there.

The proximety to the Ganga river and town was great. The staff was friendly and helpful and the view was impossible to beat. This hotel helped make for an unforgetable stay in Rishikesh. Would recommend to anyone.

Like everyone else has put in their reviews, this hotel has a lot of character. Some draw backs are the electricity goes out rather often, and the heater in the rooms only run on power. This issue is not a fault of the hotel, and the staff more then make up for it with extra blankets and hot water bottles under the covers during a turn down service […] so your sheets are warm when you go to bed. I planned this trip as a last minute deal, and had zero time to plan. The hotel helped me plan the best way to make use of my time while I was here, and took care of everything. This was my third visit to the hotel as a guest and I find it improving each time. Very comfortable stay, very courteouus staff and a great view and environment..

This is a hidden jewel in Rishikesh. Very clean (not easy to find in India) and very hospitable staff. This hotel is also located very nicely next to the long pathway along the river Ganges which takes you up and down the small city. The view from the rooms are also amazing and very peaceful. Great value for money. You will not be disappointed.

O hotel é muito bom e bem cuidado. É limpo, confortável o pessoal é atencioso. O maior problema é que o SPA tão anunciado pelo o Hotel não funcionou durante os dias que ficamos causando muita frustração.

ここはインド…あまり期待はしていなかったのが正直なところ。 しかし、建物や部屋は古いけど色々な意味でサービスはゆき届いていたと思います。 お部屋も快適でスタッフも皆さん笑顔で対応していただき気持ちよかったです。 ロケーションも慌ただしい所から離れていてゆっくり過ごすことができました。 またリシケシに行くさいは必ず泊まりたいホテルです。

Het hotel ligt mooi aan de Ganges. Elke kamer heeft uitzicht op de rivier. Wie buiten wil zitten kan terecht in de tuin. Met name de receptie is zeer attent en behulpzaam. Een absolute aanrader.

閑散期の為か、ホテルの部屋には綿埃があちこちにありました。（しばらく掃除していない。）シーツもかなり使いこんでいる感じです。また、現在改装工事中の為、埃っぽいです。（ずいぶん前から改装工事中のようですが、まだ終わっていない。）部屋からガンジス川が見れるのは、良い点です。 警備員も何人かいるので、女性の一人旅でも安心だと思います。 駅やバスターミナルから少し離れています。 宿泊料金程度の満足感はあります。

Diese Bewertung muss unter dem Blickwinkel der indischen Vorstellungen gesehen werden. Die Lage etwas ausserhalb Rishikeshs direkt am Ganges mit großartigem Blick auf den Strom macht es zum einmaligen Erlebnis. Das Personal bemueht sich, den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Die Kueche ist zu empfehlen.
