Excellent service, great location and huge rooms! My room was an appartment with separate bedroom. The staff was far above average friendly!

This is a quirky B & B. You're buzzed in and out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is minimal. Our room was comfortable and clean. Our bedroom faced the back (much quieter.)The hotel is very convenient to all sights and restaurants by public transportation or by walking. We would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for high end, you are in the wrong place. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with the place. It's basic, but the price matches. I did hear the barking dogs on a couple of nights, but not much you can do. One has to press the bell to get into the hotel, but all in the cause of security, no elevator, but the only real minus was […] the fact that all rooms fronted directly into the stairwell, so every conversation by every guest was audible, even from the rooms if it was on your floor. It is located a couple of blocks from the market and Plaza de Armas, so you feel the city life. If you want the high end, Marriott, Intercontinental and Sheraton,be ready for a lengthy cab ride. The most important mall in South America is near the Marriott, I think the guide said, but I live in a large North American city, so have no need to travel several thousand miles to look at a shopping mall. Great location near Mercado Central, the parkway along the river, and museums. Helpful service to arrange transportation. Enjoyable time.

Really good location, very easy to find, right in the central district. Very friendly staff, good service, worth every penny, breakfast and internet was included. We were from California but didn't speak any Spanish. The hotel manager spoke English and helped us out with everything including drawing a map to the nearest market and bank. We are very satisfied. Only problem is the lack of elevator in case you are elderly.

This is an attractive quaint hotel that is fairly well located. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the fact that we had no air conditioner (in the middle of summer) was a major drawback. Our only window opened onto an air shaft and we breathed cigarette smoke all night. This hotel is definitely an older hotel, but the location can't be beat! Within walking distance of all the main attractions of the city. . .but also across the street from a "park" that the man at the front desk said to stay away from at night. Just my husband and I planned to stay at the hotel, but the last minute our son who lives in Chile decided […] to join us. When we arrived, we inquired at the front desk about a room for him and were told that there was a daybed in the second room of our unit and he could stay with us for an additional nominal amoung which we were happy to pay.bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb This was perfect with us and everyone was very accomodating to us. I didn't realize that breakfast would be served at the hotel as part of our room, but it was and it was more than an adequate breakfast. If I am ever back in Santiago, I would definitely stay here again. Les mer

It is a old horel so there is chip paint and water damages on the ceiling. However, it is clean and the service is friendly. Location is great. There is a fish market near by so you can have great sea food with cheap price. We stayed for 2 nights and that is all you need to see the surraounfing area.

I recently spent two weeks staying in the AH Hotel. This was my first experience in Chile, and the hotel accommodations could not have been any better for this milestone trip. As a US citizen who barely speaks any Spanish, I was worried about communication issues with the hotel staff. My concerns were immediately alleviated when I called the hotel […] and spoke with Douglas, one of the staff. He speaks fluent English, and apparently he used to work on cruise ships. I'm guessing he had years of experience in customer service, because he was very helpful and professional. During my stay at the AH Hotel, Douglas was the staff member I spoke to the most, and he always went out of his way to resolve my requests. The rest of the staff was also quite friendly - always willing to give a friendly smile and "Buenos días" in the morning, and offer help in English (as best as they could). The room itself was quaint, clean, and comfortable. The hotel offers cabled broadband with the room, which was important to me since I was traveling on business and needed to do work. The location is great. The hotel is within a 5-10 minute walk from Bellas Artes subway station and at least 1 other station. It's also a short walk away from a couple of markets, restaurants, a museum, and plenty of other places. The only complaint I can think of is the shower's design. The hotel has the types of showers that don't have a closing door or curtains; hard to explain, but it's a design I've encountered in other hotels. It requires you to place a towel at the opening of the shower to prevent puddles forming on the bathroom floor. All things considered, if my only complaint about the hotel is shower puddles, I'd say the hotel is quite good indeed. Friendly staff, comfortable room, broadband connection, convenient location - all of these things made my stay at the AH Hotel top notch. Les mer

Great service provided in this basic but vey convient ly located hotel

We stayed twice at this hotel. We found the staff to be very helpful, the room clean, and the location central. It is on a busy street but the window blocked much of the noise.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location, directly on the central park, was perfect for the extensive bus system and only a few blocks from the subway. There was a very nice grocery store one block away. The rooms were very reasonable, and included a variety of breakfast choices, which the staff […] assisted in preparing. The hotel is not suitable for a mobility handicap, I only saw stairs. Not a criticism, just a warning. I can't wait to visit Santiago again and will be staying at the AH Hotel! Les mer

Wanted to like this hotel, but ended up hating it. Staff is friendly. Location logistics okay. Surrounding area run down to urban bland/dirty. Hallways are LOUD and any noise is shared throughout. Lighting is poor, stairs are steep and beds are hard. Rooms are plain and tired. Better deals elsewhere.

A great hotel which is at least a three star hotel. You can get breakfast delivered to your room. Very clean, rooms are very big and nice. WiFi only in the breakfast room. When booking ask for a room in a floor above the reception desk, not streetlevel.

The suite (kitchenette/ living room and separate bedroom) was clean, spacious and even had a little balcony overlooking the main road/boulevard. The included breakfast is satisfactory. One caution - if leaving the hotel to go to the airport arrange your own cab it will be significantly less than arranged by the hotel.

there was an error on computer through hotel booking but he went out of his way to take care of us and to make calls, etc.

This was a great little boutique hotel and I would highly recommend it. Even though I arrived late they had everything in order. They helped reserve me a taxi for early the next morning and even made a follow up call, without my asking to make sure the cab was on time. When I checked in they asked if I would be wanting breakfast and even had it ready […] for me over 30 minutes before they normally serve breakfast. Even though I was only there a short while they were very helpful and polite and I highly recommend this little hotel to anyone who likes a nice local place to stay. AH Hotel was much better than we expected. We arrived early in the morning an were checked in immediately, which was great since we had flown all night. The staff was helpful in booking tours and the room was very nice. We had a room that had a bed room, kitchen/living area and a bath room. The shower was wonderful, all the hot water you needed. The […] linens on the bed were nice and very fresh and clean. Just don't expect a lot of breakfast, which was toast, yogurt, prepackaged cakes and juice. It was filling and the staff would make the toast fresh when you wanted it. Overall, we loved our hotel in Chile. Les mer

The AH Hotel had a very convient location, close to alot of tourist attractions and nice restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and had excellent english and helped us book our tours around Santiago. The rooms were really modern, clean and comfortable. We had a seperate kitchen so we could have eaten in our room if we wanted. […] Teh bathroom was very modern and it was great to find a place with a shower that held its temperature constant. this was a proper 1 bedroom flat rather than a room, so better than expected. staff vey helpful too, just don't forget to ask about internet (it's free!)

Hotel situado muy centrico, al lado del mercado central, en el barrio historico de santiago. Desayuno correcto, habitación amplia y muy limpia. Precio muy bueno.

UN LUGAR PARA ALOJAR MUY RECOMENDABLE PARA ESTADIAS DE PASO.

A primeira impressão foi pessima! O hotel nao tem estacionamento, taopouco tem recepcao! O atendimento aos hospedes e feito no escritorio do hotel. O cafe tambem e bem simples... mas o poir e nao ter elevador que subuir descer as escadas com as malas... Mas nao serei injusto e só falar mal! Ao chegar no quarto uma grata surpresa: amplo, arejado, e reformardo! […] O banheiro tb e todo novo e muito bom! Além da excelente localização, o atendimento é muito bom. Os recepcionistas são muito atenciosos e prestativos. O Ah Hotel uni simplicidade e conforto.

Apesar do Hotel ser antigo, passou por reforma e está em ótimo estado. Bem localizado, há 2 quadras do Mercado Central e de estações de metrô. Ponto de ônibus bem em frente. Só não gostei do quarto em que fiquei na primeira noite, ele se localiza no subsolo. A janela é mínuscula e a vista são os pés das pessoas na rua. Por conta da falta de ventilação, […] o quarto cheirava a mofo. No segundo e terceiro dia pedi para troarem o quarto e os que ficam acima possuem varandas e são bem ventilados e iluminados. No dia que cheguei fui hospedado no primeiro andar que é no sub solo. O cheiro de mofo estava insuportável e consegui que me trocassem de quarto. Fui transferido para o quinto andar que na verdade é o quarto andar. O apartamento é bom, contudo não tem ar condicionado o calor nessa época do ano (janeiro) é insuportável. O pessoal que trabalha no hotel […] é muito bacana e prestativo, contudo, ninguém ofereceu para levar as malas e o hotel não tem elevador. Para quem não é muito exigente o Hotel atende. Les mer

Gostei muito do Ah Hotel! Achei que tem um ótimo custo x beneficio. Fica muito bem localizado, próximo do Mercado Central, da Plaza de Armas e do Museu de Belas Artes e MAC. Os quartos são bem espaçosos e o chuveiro é ótimo! O único ponto fraco é o café da manhã ... mas super recomendo!

Nada lujoso, pero un hotel limpio y bien ubicado. Si buscas un sitio bello y espectacular, este hotel NO es. Lo que tiene es que esta muy bien ubicado (cerca de 3 estaciones de metro, y del museo de Bellas Artes). Esta cerca de el area cultural de Latarri, y a 20 minutos (caminando) de Bella Vista (otra zona de restaurantes y comida). Por el precio, […] es una muy buena opcion. O hotel é muito bem localizado, otimo custo beneficio, pessoas receptivas e agradaveis, quartos amplos, bem arejados e limpos!!!

O Ah Hotel tem boas instalações, quartos amplos e foi reformado recentemente. Outro ponto positivo é que ele fica a 2 quarteirões do Mercado Central e na borda da área histórica de Santiago. O único ponto negativo é a frente do Hotel. O hotel tem um preço honesto, locaçizado pertíssimo do museu de Belas Artes e MAC, umas 4 quadras da Plaza de Armas, mercado a uma quadra e shopping a 3 quadras (com todas as Fast Foods conhecidas) O café da manhã não é farto mas é servido com muita boa vontade. Fui com um grupo ao chile e assim que chegamos ao hotel ocorreu um pequeno grande inconveniente: um dos quartos que tínhamos reservado e pagado por esse site, não estava disponível, o hotel havia transferido as pessoas desse quarto para outro hotel. Não aceitamos a proposta, afinal estávamos em um grupo e deveríamos permanecer juntos. Na mesma tarde […] o problema foi resolvido, conseguimos ficar todos no AH Hotel. Fora isso, o restante da nossa estadia foi perfeito. Os quartos são espaçosos e confortáveis, o chuveiro é tão forte que chega a lhe massagear kkkk e a localização do hotel é espetacular. A localização do hotel é ótima (perto de tudo), o pessoal da recepção é bastante atencioso, os quartos são maiores que nas fotos e são bem confortáveis. Apesar do café da manhã não ser como nos hotéis em geral (consiste em uns bolinhos, torradas, biscoitos, iogurte e suco), ele é entregue no quarto e vem numa boa quantidade.
