"Nice Interior but would not stay there again"
Lacking on Service Staff. Everyone was very friendly but it was a process to valet car, no on street parking/self park options. Once we valeted our car, it took forever to get it as the front desk person had to run and get it out of the garage. Very very short handed! The interior was nice, but how does that compare to lacking service. On of our pillows […] had Mascara on it when we went to bed the first night (yuck!!!), it took over an hour to get new pillows. The biggest bonus was the double full bathrooms in the suites, and its location are the only redeeming qualities to the stay there. Les mer
"Artisan Hotel, El Paso, Texas"
I would not stay in this hotel or recommend it. The service was horrible. No glasses in the rooms for water, no room service, no vending machines any where in the hotel. The car was valet parked and when we tried to get it the next morning we were told that the keys were locked in a box and the attendant who could unlock it wasn't there. We had to wait […] 1/2 an hour to get the car and then we ask for a refund on the second night we were told by the attendant that he wasn't authorized to cancel the reservation and issue a refund. The room was nice if you like artsie with no amenities and I do mean no amenities. We chose not to stay the second night even though the room had been prepaid and we would not be refunded. Les mer
"They are trying hard! A for effort!"
The concept is way cool. Loved the lobby and the service and food in the bar/restaurant is outstanding. My room felt very small ' in part, because the furniture was so big and ornate. Louis 14th style. Towels were old and worn but clean and the tub was refinished but bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great. Loved the bowl sink!I could hear […] the guests in the room above me very clearly so I turned on the fan to block the noise and the room got cold. I would try it again though! Les mer
"Amateur management ruins stay"
We had a horrible stay at this hotel. I heard from locals that the owners had been trying for 4 years to get this place open...and I think they needed another 4 years to be ready. Management and operation fail often. The worst part was the new years eve party that we were unaware was going to occur in the hotel. I'm not a debbie downer on parties, but […] if your building is unable to contain noise properly in certain locations, you need to rethink the party, or warn guests in advance and allow them to change their plans. You could hear the noise and music EVERYWHERE in the hotel until 2am. For those of us there for the Sun Bowl game and with an early morning flight out, this was AWFUL. My attempts to get the music turned down resulted in 3 visits to the front desk to talk to the manager and 2 visits to the party to talk to security. Additionally their valet operation is joke, the valets are never around and calling down in advance never helped. When returning from my NYE dinner, the valets appeared to have been enjoying the party themselves. I noted that they did not put an identifying tag on my keys when they took them, I even reminded them that they needed to do that. Sure enough, the next morning (when I had an early flight mind you) it took 20 minutes for the hotel to find my car. Les mer
"Artisan Hotel El Paso - Nice, needs improvement"
I was taken away by the pictures online when booking my reservation. While the hotel was beautiful and looked like the pictures, I was not impressed with the amenities. First, being an old hotel that was remodeled, the room did not have it's own air/heat system. Our room was incredible hot and when I called to front desk, they told me to lower my thermostat […] and all should be fine. As if I hadn’t already tried I decided to give it time. Well, the thermostat was also very old almost falling off the wall and I knew it wasn’t working so we had to sleep with the window open both nights listening to the traffic pass by. On our last day there before check out, we did not have any warm water to shower with. I called the front desk and was told to give them 20 mins. I waited almost 45 mins and still no warm water. Needless to say, we were left with taking cold showers as we were in a hurry to catch a flight. While the employees were great when you were able to find one, they clearly needed more help. The front desk person was always in a frantic, the manager was never around, and the valet service needed more on staff. I believe these items can be adjusted and fixed with some investment, otherwise, this place it nice to visit and check out, but not comforting enough to at stay again. I would recommend this place IF they were to correct the items above. Les mer
"Great Service and Location"
I was very satisfied with the hotel. Very luxorious and well kept. has an outdoor pool on the roof of the lobby and great views of the city. More than likely in the top 3 best hotels in El Paso, TX.
