Hampton Inn & Suites Arcata - Arcata

Clean rooms, nice indoor pool. Breakfast was great. Room was very nice except for the soft matresses. In walking distance to a supermarket. Ate a really great gyros sandwich at a Turkish restaurant around the corner.

The beds are comfortable with good pillows. Decent workout room and I had the indoor pool and hot tub all to myself. Breakfast is included with enough choices to eat healthy. Close to Humboldt State and local beaches, hikes and breweries.

Clean, fresh, comfortable. Probably the best hotel in Arcata. the only negative is the surrounding area but it is not a real problem.

Well maintained hotel. Nice and polite staff. Definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable. Nice to fall in after our 11-hour drive. Amenities were plentiful. Lots of pillows, toiletries replaced every day. Breakfast room/buffet much better than most, and spacious. Nice room. Under the impression it had a fridge and microwave. Brought food accordingly. No pay per view!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous. Had a Studio Suite but received no newspaper outside my door as other rooms did. Complimentary breakfast was okay.Probably one of the nicer hotels in Arcata but a little disappointed overall.

This was the nicest Hampton I have stayed in. The room was well appointed and all my family liked the new design for the shower. This is the first Hampton we have stayed in that had a shower that did not have a tub and it was perfect for us.

The Hampton Inn is new and nice - best motel we've stayed in close to HSU (where rooms are generally surprisingly expensive given their shabbiness).

Big, comfortable room!

Stayed with family. The room was OK, but not as large or nice as past Hampton Inns where we stayed. The breakfast was OK, large selection, etc. Scrambled eggs were cold.

The Hotel was new and clean. Service was great! Accidently booked wrong date and front desk called Hotels.com and took care of it for me. The beds were really comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, lots of items to choose from! I will definitely stay here again!

This was a new and clean hotel with modern amenities. We really liked it.

everything about my stay was AWESOME: Front desk customer service who on two separate occasions on the night of my arrival called to tell me my credit card had been turned in to the front desk....all due to my slip-ups because I was so tired upon arrival to the hotel. The hotel is very clean. The carpet is brand new. The breakfast was great. We had eggs, bacon and homemade waffles as well as yogurt and fruit! The pool and hot tub were perfect for the kids to have some "kid time"

The hotel was lovely. It was everything we wanted, and then some. The staff was polite, the facility new and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast tasty. The gym and pool was maintained, and the location was convenient.

The Hampton Inn in Arcata is conveniently located just off the 101 Freeway. On the same street are several fast food options, a supermarket, an Asian Buffet, a Round Table pizza (try the BBQ chicken pizza!!), a coffee shop, several gas stations, and a car wash. Within ten minutes you can be in Eureka or at the Arcata Square for shopping and dining. Although […] check in was efficient, I (once again) found front desk clerk Heather to be less than welcoming. This is my second stay, and both times Heather acted as though I was taking her away from what she was really there to do - socialize with her co-workers. The room is comfortable with a bed that is a little on the firm side, a small desk, a chair and an LCD tv. The bathroom is granite countertops, hairdryer, coffee maker, and a large walk-in shower (no bathtub). Provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, mouthwash and shower gel. The containers are hard to get stuff out of when it gets half way empty. They are hard plastic, so you can't really squeeze them - I tried and ended up with conditioner all over when the plastic container squeezed out of my hands and went flying. On previous stay the tv was set at a very low level, not able to turn it up past 25 - which meant you couldn't hear the tv is the fan was on. This has been corrected, or we got a tv without that issue. Could turn it up as loud as we needed. Free wi-fi - code provided at check in. Worked fine, no problems. I enjoyed my breakfast but I can see how others may feel there isn't enough of a choice other than carbs and meat. Cold cereal, instant oatmeal, danish, bagels, muffins, waffles, apples and bananas, yogurt. Juice, coffee, water, tea. Rotating hot dishes - some form of scrambled eggs (plain one day, with ham the other), some form of pork product side (bacon one day, sausage patties the other), and a third (french toast sticks one day, half a bagel with eggs, cheese, and sausage on top the other day). I found the Hampton Inn & Suites in Arcata to be comfortable, still feeling new, and everything I needed for my recent stay for a business workshop. Although I didn't have a chance to try the pool or workout room, I had a peek and they both seemed new and well-cared for. The breakfast was very good, with a change in hot items each day: scrambled eggs, […] bacon, sausage, french toast strips (they were too hard, though), something called a bagel topper (which was a bagel half with cheese, and maybe eggs and something else mixed in layered on top), make your own waffles, cold cereals, pastries, muffins, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc. Everything except the french toast strips were tasty and filling. My room was nice - the bed is not as soft as a Marriott (sigh), but still fine. There is a 40" LCD tv, which you can't hear when the fan is on, with basic cable and showtime. My room had a large shower with no tub, large vanity, coffee setup, and serviceable towels. Also provided were shampoo, etc. I forgot a razor, and the front desk provided one for me. There is a nice sized closet with iron/board, and plenty of hangers. The hotel is located right off the freeway, but far enough away that you can't hear traffic. There are all sorts of fast food options, as well as The Pantry (coffee shop), a Chinese Food Buffet (not bad), and a Round Table Pizza. There is also a Dollar Tree and Ray's Food Market, gas stations, and car wash. You can also go a few miles into Eureka for shopping, or a couple minutes up the road to Arcata plaza with restaurants, stores, and HSU. I would stay again - even though it's more expensive than other hotels in the area, I think it is worth it to know you probably won't have any worries while you are here. Les mer

The rate was unbelieveable. The room and hotel were immaculate. We were expecting a dump and couldn't believe that we had lucked into a brand new hotel with free breakfast at this rate. The room was huge, clean, and extremely comfrotable complete with the flat screen and fridge, sofa, and table. Staff were awesome. Free parking, wifi, etc!! Can't say […] enough about this one. Great choice if you eed a stopover or what to explore the area. Les mer

The Hampton Inn in Arcata was amazing! Clean, comfortable, new and well located. Free wi-fi and the fitness center was one of the best I have seen in a smaller type hotel; it was very modern. I would definitely stay again.

The Hampton Inn Arcata is a 5 month old hotel and was very clean and comfortable. It was very near the freeway but still quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was clean, friendly and comfortable. The staff was very helpful on places to eat, see, go. I would recomend it to anyone.

The Hampton in Arcata, CA, is a very nice hotel. This was my second visit here. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. We also enjoyed the complementary breakfast.

very nice accommodations, easy access to freeway and shopping center nearby, on cul-de-sac, so no through traffic....all great there. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Food didn't look edible, so went to McDonald's instead (could have gone to nearby restaurant, but were in a hurry to get somewhere). Nice pool and hot tub and not too many guests using […] while we were there. Fairly quiet, except the blower on the an unit sounded like a diesel truck and for the ladies no makeup mirror in the bathroom....no tub, but we always shower anyway. Yes, i would go there again.....and don't miss the Arcata farmer's market.....best we've seen so far!!!! Les mer

Outstanding experience. It's a newly built hotel with modern, comfortable rooms in a quiet area several blocks from Hwy 101. Walking distance to shopping center and restaurants. Highly recommend staying there.
