The hotel and staff are excellent. The room was a good size with excellent facilities. The only negative was the bed, which was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I cannot state if all the beds in this hotel are uncomfortable but ours was so I would recommend people ask the question if they require a softer mattress.

Our 12 night stay over the December holidays at La Favorita was luxurious! The attentive service, the spotless and comfortable room, the beautiful design of the hotel & the perfect central location made for an unforgettable experience in Sorrento!! Through Hotels.com, we were fortunate to get a nice deal on an extended stay in a junior suite. The room […] features: a balcony, a huge jacuzzi tub, lots of space with 16 foot decorated ceilings, a super comfortable king bed, & turndown service. Breakfast was wonderful & included in the price. The only things I would add is a better in-room wifi connection (the lobby was the only viable way to get on line), & perhaps a fitness room (but there's a great gym a few blocks away available for 10 euro per visit... & lots of steep inclines to hike). I had read an important piece of advice on one TA review regarding those who choose to stay here in the cooler months: The AC is shut off for the winter! If you're like us & like to sleep in a cool room, you'll need to keep your balcony door open. The street below is noisy until the wee hours so use earplugs or a white noise iPad app to drown it all out. Also, re-reconfirm your airport transfer requests & Hotels.com info (or any other booking sites) just before you leave home ...just a phone call to the front desk should do, as there's lots of room for communication errors...but the same can be said for any accommodation. Excellent hotel in a great position with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious. The weather was bad for our stay so unfortunately the pool was closed and the roof terrace was not in use, but there were fanatastic views from the terrace. The roof terrace with swimming pool and sun loungers was the stand out feature of the hotel for us. It had the sun all day and the views were fantastic as well. The hotel was also ideally located, very central but tucked enough away to not be too noisy.

Beautiful hotel. Enjoyed the pool and restaurant and bar on the roof. Lovely room and bathroom. Breakfasts in a pretty garden. Great location to the port. Good place to use as a center to visit Amalfi Coast, Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii, and Capri.

Staff were welcoming and helpful - even providing a free upgrade to a junior suite - and hotel is stunning. Features of the room including highly effective airconditioning that ran even when the room was locked up plus electronic shutters to close off the balcony doors - necessary as the temperatures were between 35 and 40 every day whilst we stayed. The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything you need for your stay was there. Staff were helpful and pleasant, cleanliness excellent, breakfast fantastic. Will definitely stay there again.

We stay here for two days, it's clean and near to town enter, we recommend this hotel for friends, if we come to sorrento again, we will still choose this hotel.

This is a great hotel. The best word to describe this hotel is 'quality'. Everything about the hotel was quality - the rooms, the interior, the food and the staff. No cut corners. It's a great location. The staff are really helpful. I would highly recommend eating at the their restaurant on the main street. It's a real treat!

Some excellent points, lovely views from the rooftop pool, but overall felt let down after we checked out. Had the distinct impression that once we had checked out they basically wanted nothing further to do with you, and would only offer very basic assistance.

We stayed in a quadruple room - 2 adults in double bed and 2 extra single beds. Quite new hotel (from 2010 I believe) - beautifull in all areas (rooms, public areas, rooftop pool area, as well as professional, friendly service. Really nothing at all to substract from a great experience. Very central "downtown" location, too. 4 large stars.

This hotel was amazing. The room was immaculate, and we are Americans and pretty fussy. The service was wonderful and the staff very accomadating. Location was perfect since you could walk into the town. Sayed seven nights and definitely could have stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Favorita. There was one particular Front of House manager who greeted us on arrival and knew our names (we were probably their last check-ins for the day - but it was a nice touch). Breakfast was included and again the staff were very attentive and service was excellent. The rooftop pool area had a great view and was […] very clean and comfortable. We sat out on our balcony in the evenings and drank our own Prosecco. It was not a busy street and we slept well at night. The hotel was located in a great area for shopping and restaurants and we sampled 4 different tavernas nearby which were all good. We particularly liked "Il Pozzo" which was only about 50 yards from the hotel on Stada Tasso. Les mer

Our family stayed at the Grand Hotel La Favorita in July 2010 for 5 nights and we had a fantastic time. We were not expecting more than a nice 'boutique style' hotel from the on-line description. On arrival, we discovered the hotel had only opened in April 2010 and the room, facitilites and service were of an exceptionally high standard. We could not […] have wished for more. The location was great and in a quiet side street, which led into restaurants and shopping areas. I would highly recommend this hotel and would be very happy to return. The only negative news to report from our stay in Sorrento was our trip to Capri - in our opinion 'shamefully exploitive of the tourist'. Les mer

Went to this hotel after leaving Capri and heading to Rome...perfect location, people were nice, bar was great...and the room was very clean and very spacious....would definitely recommend this hotel

This is the most beautiful Hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful, kind and happy. The maid service is outstanding. The location is perfect- you feel as if you are right in the heart of Italy and there are many restaurants within an easy 5 minute walk. We hope to come back next year. my wife and i booked a 4 night stay in sorrento through expedia not having used them previously. Initially we had a few problems finding the hotels we wanted so ended up phoning the expedia help line. the agent i spoke to was very helpful and patient and in the end we split our stay between 2 hotels so that we could end up staying at our first choice. We […] flew from gatwick so had to get a connecting flight from manchester. This went so smoothly that we are now thinking of doing the same again with british airways the next time we go away. Having the different choice of flight times on expedia helped us a great deal as it enabled us to choose the best times for us so that we did not end up wasting any days in sorrento due to late arrivals. we stayed on night at the imperial tarramanto and 3 nights at the hotel la favourita. Both hotels were excellent for different reasons. Both hotels are a stones throw distance away from each other in great locations in the old town. Both pools were magnificant , the imperial does have a deep end but the roof top favourita doesnt. The favourita would probably shade it as my hotel choice of the holiday due to location , roof top pool , which doesnt go into shade at any time and has fantastic views and quality of rooms.Just make sure you try to get a view that faces the imperial hotel as all other rooms face flats in sorrento. The staff at both hotels were very accomodating but once again i think the staff at the favourita shades it . Les mer
