Pompei Resort - Pompeii

It's a bit of a hike to get there from the station but not to bad. A stroll gets you to the town (10-15 min) and a free shuttle gets you to the station. Meals were nice and breakfast was better than average though I would prefer more attentive service if the hot drinks have to be ordered from a waiter. We had to go up to the bar more than once to order […] ours. Great rooms, really clean and looked after. I would stay there again. Les mer

We booked this hotel for an overnight stop-off on our way to a wedding on the Amalfi Coast. A short visit to Pompeii was too much to resist. We were so pleased we did. We arrived mid-evening and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and suggested a local restaurant near to the hotel. A short walk but very good value […] and entertaining. The hotel is great value and clean. The area isn't attractive but the local people we met were all very nice and the added bonus is the ruins are a short drive away. Les mer

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I especially loved the sauna in our bathroom! The breakfast was very good. Definitely going back if I am in that area again.

It was not near the ruins, but the city is not big so it was easy take taxis or buses once I got to know the area. The hotel was wonderful and staff very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I visited Italy for two weeks. It is a beatiful Country. Excellent food, exhilarating landscapes and wonderful and kind people everywhere. At the Pompei Resort we found the best staff. Special mentions to Emilia and Michaela, always smiling and prompt to help and make you feel comfortable. Congratulations for you, guys! Not least, the price […] was worderful. Les mer

Pompeii Resort Hotel is the best place in the Pompeii locality. The rooms are modern and alot of thought has been put into them and the food was excellent in the restaurant. The staff themselves made us feel very welcome and and were extremely helpful and friendly. I never review hotels normally but I would definatly recommend this hotel

It is a pretty nice hotel but the location is really not great. It's only about a 10 or 15 min walk to the train station or the back entrance to the ruins so it's not too bad. You have to be prepared to walk through dodgy areas or have a car to stay here. I didn't have any problems and found it a very nice place.

I rarely write reviews unless it is to warn people about negative experiences. This is one of the first positive experiences I have ever written. I can't begin to describe what a pleasure it was to stay at this particular resort. We were lucky to have Emily by our side during our stay. She was absolutely fantastic and such a great help! We arrived […] and the bell hops immediately helped take our bags from the car right up to our room. Then get this, they refused the tip... which I found odd. I registered quickly and easily. They even offered a crib / play pen for our 6 month old baby... get this: at no charge. We get into our room and were pleasantly surprised. Before we even closed the door, the cleaning lady popped her head in to see if everything in the room was in order. We asked for an extra towel for our baby, and she said no problem. She let us know that the crib was on the way. Within 5 minutes, we had the crib and extra towels (she brought us two, just in case, and an extra soap). The room was more than spacious. It had a nice LCD TV, and a desk. Under the desk there was a small fridge with the mini-bar. The mini-bar didn’t have a price list, but I asked and it was so straight forward: €2 for pop water and snacks, €3 for alcohol, €6 for the champagne. TV didn’t have that many channels on it, but we were not there to watch TV… I think there were about 20 or so. The sheets were clean and smelled great. The bed was super comfortable. The pillows felt new. The décor in the room was neutral but nice. The balcony we had faced the volcano which was a nice bonus. The washroom had a large toilet and bidet. An oversized sink with really hot water and a nice sized mirror that had great lighting made the washroom a delight. And when they call this place a resort, they mean it… they have little packets of supplies such as a razor, two toothbrushes with toothpaste, shoe shining kit, a sewing kit, two shower caps, facial soap as well as hand soap, shampoo, body cream Les mer

The Pompei Resort was situated near to the heart of Pompei Town and not to far from Pompei Ruins, which I would say is a very good position to be situated at. I would have liked a swimming pool just to relax in when returning from where you have visited. We were charged 60 euro's to go too Naples airport which took us 20 mins but was told by staff that […] the time in the morning around 8.30am would take approx. 2hrs.maybe someone can sort this out with staff or do we keep the taxi service in jobs. Overall this is a great hotel. If it was moved about 500km closer to the middle of town I would be happy to recommend it to others. That was really my only complaint about it. Also, I didn't have any problems and the people working their told me the area was good, but there is a 2 block walk toward the center of town which didn't seem like a very good […] area. There was grafiti on the walls, trash in the street and we didn't see a single person walking that road the 2 times we did it at night. Les mer

The Pompeii Resort was excellent! We arrived by circumvesuviana train and called the hotel for the free shuttle (the driver wouldn't even take the tip!). We only stayed one night but the staff was friendlly and helpful. The room was super clean (although the fancy shower wasn't working but we didn't worry about it). We had dinner in the hotel restaurant […] and had excellent service, a wonderful dinner and it was very reasonable! They had a menu turistico and a la carte. I ordered the swordfish and prawns, my husband the menu and both were perfect (although the mixed salad was nothing more than iceburg lettuce in a fancy bowl!) Excellent staff and food - and one of our least expensive meals on the trip! The gardens and patio are stunning - well cared for and watered - I almost wish I was getting married again because I would definitely book a small wedding here! (BTW don't take the advice of the shuttle driver who says the best way to the Naples airport is a cab! Circumvesuviana is just more than a bus ticket and the Alibus from the train station is about the same price and goes directly to the airport!) Les mer

Don’t let the crazy colour scheme put you off; this is a really nice hotel. The rooms are very modern and spacious. Breakfast was excellent value. The only negative was the location; the hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Pompeii. The road it’s located on is industrial and very scruffy and dirty. Watch out of the rip off taxis, and […] people in their private cars offering lifts. The hotel has a shuttle bus with pickups at the train stations – all you need to do is ask in advance. Les mer

When I booked this room, they advertised a free shuttle to the ruins which was not the case. We were also expecting hot tubs and a garden terrace, but they were closed for renovations. But, other than that - it was a nice hotel. The showers are awesome and have jets and a built in sauna!

The hotel was very nice. HOWEVER, IF YOU MISS THE FIRST TURN AS WE DID THE AREA YOU END UP IN IS VERY QUESTIONABLE. Would never recommend driving in this area after dark. They had discontuined the shuttle service to Pompei and when we expressed our dissatisfaction of this matter they drove us to the ruins, which was very nice. We had a very nice stay at Pompei Resort. It is outside the city of Naples, but that is a good thing. It is centrally located between Sorrento and Naples. The staff is very helpful and they serve a very nice breakfast. It is very relaxing eating breakfast on the patio with Mt. Vesusius in the background. I highly recommend this hotel.

What a shock that it was a 4 start hotel at a 2 star price. Everything was first class.

We stayed here 4 nights and found it to be a great place to tour all around the area. the hotel bus took us to several close by train stations that can get you from Sorrento to Napoli and anyplace in between. The staff was very accomodating and helpfull, plus the breakfast was great. The neighborhood was somewhat industrial but there is a good resturant […] across the street and the center of Pompei is only a ten minute walk. Les mer

A pleasant hotel with balconies to rooms. Very helpful staff - gave us complimentary umbrellas when it rained - with a prompt schuttle service to the ruins. The decor was a bit dingy and showed signs of wear but was clean and all worked. Slightly unimpressed by the evening meal but that may be coloured by experience of all you can eat UK and US living. […] No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Les mer

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they provide a free shuttle to the ruins, breakfast is lovely, rooms are modern and very comfortable, they helped us book a private driver for an excellent cruise along the Amalfi Coast. Loved it. Completely recommend it.

O staff do hotel faz de tudo para que sua hospedagem seja a mais confortável possível. ] O hotel é novo, moderno e funcional, além de muito tranquilo. É incomum a gentileza com que fomos tratados pelo servidores do hotel o que nos fez, ao partir, pensar em voltar a pousar nele outras vezes que nos dirijamos ao sul da Itália de carro..

Although we got excellent value for money in this hotel, it is not really 4 stars. Room and bathroom is too small for that. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is ideal to visit Pompei archeological site, and to visit the Vesuvius. Need a car to get around.

Venlig i receptionen, lækkert værelse og en super restaurant, alt sammen til en rimelig pris.

comfortabel hotel, mooie kamer en een prima ontbijt. Aangenaam en attent personeel. Op ruim een kwartier lopen van het centrum, alwaar de toegang tot de opgravingen. Ook daar het station van de tram/metro voor een bezoek aan Napels (40 min). Pompeï zelf stelt weinig voor, en het hotel ligt ook niet in een fraaie wijk, maar..... al met al een ideale […] uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de opgravingen en aan Napels. Ruime parkeervoorziening op het hotelterein. Les mer

A estrutura do hotel é excelente: quartos bem limpos e arrumados, o chuveiro é um show a parte. Internet funcionando perfeitamente.

soggiorno breve (una notta solamente), tuttavia utile per apprezzare le qualità della struttura e del suo personale. Di buon livelloc ertamente.

Nyt og veldrevet hotel, med meget god komfort ift. til den tilbudspris vi betalte. Spa-brusere på værelset og en masse toiletgrej. Roligt område i gåafstand fra byen Pompei og udgravningerne. Morgenmaden er rigelig og varieret efter italienske forhold - dog mest kager :)

The hotel is very good, with excellent service and clean rooms with a fancy shower... But its located far from the ruins (40 min. walk from Pompeiji Scavi station next to the ruins). However the hotel has a transfer service from/to the station/ruins included in the price which covers for the lousy location.
