Koselig og særpreget gammel pub ved elven, 5-10 min.å gå til sentrum.Ved park/naturområde. Like ved det største universitetet. Fine, nyopppussede rom i 2.etasje, rent og flott, meget bra bad. Hyggelig betjening. God frokost med flere valgmuligheter, middagsservering til kl.21.

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt i Swindon sentrum, og var helt glimrende. Rolige omgivelser og rolige tilstander på hotellet. Dette hotellet anbefales!

Fikk rommet allerede ved adkomst kl 11.30 , det var deilig siden turen hadde begynt 04.30 i Oslo. Rommet var lite men rent og ordentlig. Koselig lobby . Grei bellighenhet i forhold til flybusser og med Oxford sentrum i umiddelbar nærhet.

"Not aimed at those on a leisure break"
This hotel is geared up as a conference centre. All rooms have double beds which are ok for single occupancy but for two in a bed go to a Premier Inn. Last you can have breakfast in the week is 9 o'clock totally unacceptable for those on a leisure break which some do in the week. The rooms in which are not in the main house are no better than student […] accommodation, but perhaps I am being hard on student accommodation. The rooms are very small. We did complain when placed in one of those rooms as it felt very claustrophobic. To be fair our complaint was dealt with professionally, we were moved to the main building where our new room was bigger but the bed was still the same size. The buffet style breakfast was the same as you get at a Holiday Inn however dinner at night was very good but a little expensive. This hotel has a lot going for it but has been spoilt by not catering for both sectors of society business and leisure. Very disappointed Les mer

"Very good overall"
The location and the main part of the hotel were very good and well maintained. The grounds were also spectacular the staff were very friendly and polite the only poor point was that the room we stayed in was very small but overall an extremely good weekend.

I booked the Eynesham Hall as a nice little weekend getaway for Valentines with the missus. The picture of the hotel room looked perfect and set in the surroundings of the beautiful stately mansion. I thought this would be the perfect getaway, especially as my other half loves stately homes.... WRONG!WRONG!WRONG! When we arrived at the hotel we were […] given our keys and sent off to Eynesham Hall. The room we were given was nice (still not the room as depicted in the picture whilst booking) apart from the fact another couple were actually staying in our room. The reception then asked me to return to the reception and pick up another key as they have mistakenly booked me into another room and had not updated their systems... within 2 minutes of arriving my other half was already upset, nice one Eynesham hall staff!!! We then picked up our new key to another area of the grounds called Eynesham Court. The block is similar to baracks, in fact the room I had once at Sandhurst academy was better!!! Yes you guessed it, we did not get the room we booked. The hotel is meant to be 3 star, I would rate the barack style block as 1 star at a push and the Eynesham Hall block was more of a 2.5 star... the room was very basic, set up for two people, yet only 1 hot chocolate sachet... I know it's not much, but for heavens sake it doesn't take much to add another sachet when the room is a double.... The health suite is a joke and I cannot believe people are actually paying to use this. The Sauna was basically a converted wardrobe with an electric heater installed... very rickety and very cramped, twas not a pleasant stay... The pool was freeezing as well as the showers... We have been staying at the hotel for 30 mins and we are both annoyed with the condition and the fact our weekend getaway has been tarnished by scrimping and saving from the greedy wealthy owners at Eynesham Hall.... Never ever book a room in outside hall - damp and stinky cellar!!! After an upgrade to main hall, everything was fine.

My boyfriend and I had a great weekend away and loved the hotel. The romm was quite small but was not an issue, as there is enough room for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious. On our last morning we decided to have a treatment at 'The Salon @ Eynsham Hall'. It was excellent, vwry well priced and the beautician […] Gemma was lovely and extremely friendly. Definately worth a visit! Les mer

We stayed in the annexe rooms (evidently the majority are situated outside the main hall). Our rooms were very small and, whilst clean, were obviously built with low cost paramount. State of repair was fairly poor, beds like rocks and the heating was not working. Sounds from surrounding rooms could be heard quite clearly. They were cheap, though, and […] it is now clear why that was. After a long day's travel I got to the health centre before the 'last entry' time but the lady on duty tried to deny me access, saying she had already started to clear up. I argued the case in a reasoned and calm manner and she very reluctantly and rudely allowed me in to use the pool. Others were there already, so why did she make a fuss as if it were empty? At the end of my swim she rudely turned the lights out in the pool area as I was getting my things together - why was there a need for such rudeness and poor customer service? Thankfully she switched them back on again for a few seconds so I could find the door out of there - health and safety ?!? Appalling all round. By contrast, the restaurant in the main hall was excellent, thank goodness. Staff were brilliant, room is lovely, food very high quality and all round the dining experience was great. I would say that this is suitable if you are looking for a reasonably-priced base from which to explore Oxford and environs, but don't book this expecting a luxury stay unless you can get a room in the main hall. beautiful hall and surrounding gardens but the quality of the rooms outside the hall are very small and dated.The leisure facilities are also very basic.The breakfast was very good and the service very efficent but we were disappointed that no rooms in the hall were available, those seem to be for the wedding guests which if you have booked a stay when […] there is a wedding on you cannot use the hall to its full potental as there are rooms you cant use. Finding your room in the dark as we had to is also very difficult as you are given a map on check in and left to find it yourself.this beautiful building is spoilt by some silly things like a neon sign over a beautiful fire place and modern paintings in this old building.service was excellent in the bar and at breakfast but the rooms do spoil your stay as they are of a very low standard. The .Manor house and hall itself are absolutely beautiful. We were in the lodge, which was very spartan and had a very small room. There was barely enough room for the bed and a chair - little room to change or to turn around! The buffet breakfast in the main hall was very extensive, but was a bit cold. I wish I could say that this is a really amazing hotel. It almost is except for the quality of the room we stayed in. It's clear that there has been no expense spared on the actual hall but the lodges, where the majority of the guests stay are somewhat lower in quality. Great -no problems we arrived at a busy time large wedding party in progress but were well recieved - reviews suggested rooms were small so expected them to be but I thought they were no worst than other contemporary hotels in the class so was happy with this . stayed at the lodge not the main hall, rooms were very small, had old portable tele with only 5 channels. staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfasts were really good. good value for money

beautiful surroundings and a superb hall where the reception,restaurant and bar are housed. Very serene location and wonderful grounds. The outside rooms are very small and quite noisy at night due the extremely thin walls. We could hear a man snoring in the next room- yes that bad. Hotel is a converted manor house built a hundred years ago. So the main house is quite old and dated but interesting. Could be maintained better but the overall effect is not bad. The room we stayed in was in the lodge next to the main house. Nothing fancy but adequately clean and maintained. Lots of free parking and free wifi internet which worked […] well. The main hotel building and the grounds are lovely, although the hotel bar is very small. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and the food and service were both of a really good standard. Our room was in Eynsham Court which is a much more modern building and the room was tiny. We also had to phone reception to ask for an iron and ironing board […] which we left outside the door when we were finished. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who didn't have a car as it's too remote, but overall we had a pleasant stay. "Lovely surroundings"
I only stayed for one night, while the lodges of the main building are a little newer than the 300 year old manor house they are still nice wee rooms. The grounds are really nice as well, a great place to spend a weekend.

We stayed out of the main hall. We arrived very late, but the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Our rooms were on the small side for two people, but it was comfortable. The walls seemed paper thin, but it was a very closely situated setup. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful, with lots of selection. "The quintessential British country-side experience"
Eynsham Hall is the epitome of the traveler's idea of the traditional British manor. It's a beautiful facility situated on impeccably manicured grounds. The guest rooms are very large for European standards. The buffet breakfast is great. Also, the Hall offers numerous outdoor activities. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

"Perfect short break location"
Living nearby in Oxford, we cycled from Hanborough train station to Eynsham, which took about 15-20mins. The hotel was as stunning as the pictures suggest, and the interior is just as beautiful. After checking in, which was no problem, we were ushered into the restaurant where there was very nice food on offer and an extensive wine list. The waiting […] staff were all very friendly. We were staying in one of the complexes outside of the main hall, which was essentially a 1minute walk away, so absolutely no problem. The room was very clean, very roomy - and the sheets were amazingly soft!! Breakfast the next morning was perfect - buffet all you can eat choice of Full English or Continental. We also had a quick use of the swimming pool and sauna, both of which were lovely and clean. Overall, very, very impressed with what you got for your money. The only downside is its location away from anything major, but the hotel is more than enough attraction. Les mer

A grand house with compact, comfortable and clean rooms. I found the staff to be exceptional and they all found time to talk and be friendly, even when under extreme pressure of work. Be warned, the beefburger served in the hotel bar is HUGE!

Booked two rooms at the same rate - one was a good sized room, comfortable, the other, the size of a shoe box! Disappointing for the money. Hotel itself was beautiful.
"One of the worst hotels I've stayed in"
Very very disapointed with this hotel, we stated on booking that we had a child under 1, and yet they put is in a room on the 2nd floor, with plenty of stairs but no lift. As for the rooms themselves, outside of the hall they are very shabby and in need of maintenance. The rooms look like they va ehad no maintenance since they were built in the late […] 80's. Plasterboard that has just been painted and not finished properly, showers that barely work and tiny rooms with barely enough room to sleep in, never mind put a crib. Do not stay here Les mer
"Clean but Small Hotel Room"
This hotel is set in a gorgeous location, absolutly beautiful. The room was clean... my only concern was that it was so small. Once cases were inside there wasn't much room to move around the bed.

Eynsham Hall takes you back to the Jacobean era. It is a stately home in the middle of nowhere (so don't expect to walk anywhere expect for strolls around the estate). The estate has a large garden and grounds for romantic walks and relaxing in quiet surroundings. The restaurant serves great food with a decent selection of wines. The staff were also […] super attentive and really nice. Breakfast was good (exceptionally good coffee for United Kingdom ;-). Although we did not use it, there was also an apparently well equipped fitness centre with all facilities on site. Beware that the Hall also houses various functions, so it can be crawling with partying teenyboppers (even though we didn't really notice them). All in all, what started out as an overnight stay turned into a romantic evening. Well worth a stay for something different from an inner-city hotel! Les mer

This hotel is in lovely countryside on the outskirts of Oxford and not far from Witney. The building is impressive and it has conference and spa facilities with lovely lounge, dining and bar areas and a tranquil garden. We were in an annexe - the room was on the small side and the double bed was against one wall which was inconvenient. The en-suite […] was great and it was certainly excellent value for money on hotels.com. The Staff were attentive and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and are considering going again with a large group of friends one day. There was only one small drawback we could see and that was the odd low brick wall in the centre of the annexe car park which cannot be seen when reversing and which has obviously proved to be an obstacle - this clearly needs to be built up so that it is visible to motorists. I had stayed here years ago and wanted to see if I could remeber what it was like. The grounds are magnificent and the Hotel itself very nice, we were in an outside lodge which was fine as the weather was fantastic, had it been wet then it wouldn't have been ideal as it is a 200 yard walk to main Hotel. Ideal for visiting Oxford as station only 2 miles […] away with good service into Oxford City Centre, and Blenheim Palace only 10 minutes away. Breakfast was excellent but evening menu only changed once a week and choice wasn't that varied. However, overall it was great and we would certainly go back again. Les mer

poor check in at night miserable little reception area.room heating turned off!! it was 5degrees outside. breakfast buffet disappointing at 8.45 most cold buffet items had gone long queues for hot buffet no bacon or eggs no plates. it took a very long time for waitress to bring tea and toast. it would appear that both kitchen and waiting staff can not […] cope with rush of people just before 9am. overall a disappointing hotel lovely area but service particularly at breakfast must improve. thank goodness we had only booked one night. when you drive up to this hotel through their perfectly manicured gardens you think WOW! Hotel entrance very grand and nice areas to sit and relax. Got shown to our room and was gobsmacked, a little block tucked away behind the main house, room was dirty, cold, damp and not quite what you would expect. Asked reception to change for a room in the […] main house one with a bath which he agreed but for double the price, was prepared to pay so he offered me what he called the 'honeymoon suite' absolutely no difference to the other room apart from a little more space, no bath and bland as anything. Asked to be moved back to the original room as no point paying double for the same shoddy experience. I have stayed in better hostels than this hotel. Very disappointing. This hotel is in a wonderful enviroment. it takes just 15 från Oxford, so you need a car! The staff is realy helpful. We lived in the cheapest room so it was a littlebit small, but clean. But i think our room had some bad air, felt as the romm couldn´t breath!! The breakfast was a typical english breakfast, BUT whit fresch fruit that i love, the sevice […] was excellent!!
