Right across from Tiger Town. Great shopping and restaurants. A few issues with surfaces that needed to be wiped down. Otherwise a great place to stay. Room quite comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

The hotel staff was great I have already informed some of my associates about the Microtel Hotel. I have never heard of them before I decided to take a vacation. The desk (person) clerk Briana was excellent and a pleasure to talk too. The whole staff made you fill more like family than a guest. When we had a problem with a cleaning staff not cleaning […] my room after informing her to make my beds and to vaccum my floor Amy took care of the problem she even offered to come and make the beds when her shift ended. I thanked her for the offer but turned down the offer and told her that it wasn't her job nor was it her fault. She reported the incident to the manager. Upon leaving I was able to meet the manager and he was also a very pleasant person.He mention that he did received my letter. I informed him that the letter was from my daughter room 420. I have never stayed in a hotel were you are allowed to use the phone for free. I give this hotel an Att (5 stars )for customer service. This has to be a Christian Hotel. I highly recommend the Microtel Hotel in Opalika Ala. on 1701 Frederick Road to anyone because the will make you feel at home. Yours truly Guest room 419. Les mer

Clean smell when entered hotel. Very friendly greeting from hotel staff the room was little small but o.k. for my son and I. Overall good stay. Will stay there again when we play baseball in that area again.

I liked the hotel. The beds were not as comfortable as other hotels I've stayed in, but I've discovered that I'm picky in that regard. The room overall was clean, but the sofabed had food crumbs in it under the couch cushions and the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. "Replace the cleaning crew"
Nice hotel but when I find a used washcloth on the curtain rod and that the top of the shower was filthy I spoke to the desk, handed them the washrag and a towel I wiped the shower off with. They apologized and immediately offered to move me to a different room. I left my card and requested the Mgr EMAIL me to let me know how he resolved the issue. […] NO EMAIL he called and left me a message to call him. Customer service means you jump through hoops and if possible do what the customer ask if it is reasonable. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! really, how tough is it to email me the response. I am out of the country and it would cost me $10 to make that call. But I would not want to inconvenience the manager as I'm sure his time is very valuable. DUMB! Les mer

If you're like me and want a clean bed, a good shower, cold A/C, a good location, and a nice decent breakfast this is the best place in town. I'm a very seasoned traveller and have stayed in all types of places. When I pay for a hotel myself (not on the company expense account) this is the ultimate place for me. You will be happy here.

"Good but small"
The name says it all; "MICROtel". It was a nice hotel for one person or a couple that is gonna use the room to sleep and nothing else. If you are looking for space, this isnt it. Tigertown is right across the street with a 24 hr Starbucks and plenty of restaurants.

"exactly what I needed"
I was in town for just a short time, but needed a nice place to stay. Microtel was PERFECT!! It had exactly what I needed. Everything was very convenient, staff was friendly, room was very clean, and I have already made a reservation again since I will be returning to the area again soon.
I had some trouble locating this hotel since the route finder I used sent me off at the wrong freeway exist and east instead of west. Probably this is because the hotel is very new - I could still smell the "new" - and not yet in all databases.

I loved this hotel. Very clean! The only thing I didn't like was our room was right across from the vending machines/ice machine. My wake up call was at 5:55 by someone getting ice. It was VERY loud. "The Microtel in Opelika George"
Could not have been more satisfied. The staff from management on down were so wonderful and helpful. It was the best stay i've ever had at a hotel . To sum it up i will try other Microtels when i travel from now on.

I found this hotel online for a very reasonable rate and reserved my room. When I arrived, and throughout my stay, I was just simply amazed at the quality of this hotel. The rooms are great, the service is great, and the hotel […] was just stellar in my opinion. I arrived back one particular evening from pulling eleven hours at work with no lunch break and the hotel had free food in the eating area. The housekeeping replaced my towels and made my bed every day without exception. I love this hotel.If all Microtel hotels are in this shape, I will use this chain for my personal vacations.
