The building and especially the lobby are beautiful and the extras are many. Breakfast, afternoon meal and popcorn are all included. But in my book this does not qualify to hit the top marks. The hotel is huge and it is a un-personal machine. There are huge lines for every meal, and the meals are served on plastic plates. My room did not feel perfectly clean and the bed linen were old and should have been replaced. The location is great.

"Great Rooms BUT...."
I have a couple of issues with this hotel. One the free breakfast that they provide could be better organized!!! My 9 year old was pushed out of the way when trying to get his breakfast... There is no lines or organization what so ever. Made breakfast very stressful for us. So we skipped on breakfast the second day. Two the pool area is covered with […] water!!! The hotel is close to SeaWorld, restaurants and stores. The towels in the pool area were not replaced for several days.
"Maid Service"
Overall experience with this hotel was average. Stayed 4 nights and the maid would never leave towels in our room. This was very annoying after long days.

Hotel itself was great. However, there were a lot of what appeared to be oil field workers staying there & they were very inconsiderate of other guests, talking & laughing loudly at 3am several nights.
"Problem processing reservation"
We tried to check in and were told there was a problem with our reservation. We were given room keys that did not work. We had to wait for a day shift employee to come in and fix the problem and get us into our room. The day shift employee was very knowledgeable and friendly but the evening shift employees didn't seem to be as well trained.

"window and stain"
Big dirty stain on the white blanket, which I did not see until we checkout when I tried to make up the bed, I don’t like the window could not be opened, because of the air not fresh in the room when we checked in.

We really enjoyed our stay in San Antonio. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to Sea World but a little far from downtown and the Riverwalk. Our room was clean and well maintained. The beds were a little hard for my taste but I realize that is a personal preference. "Springhill Suites by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld"
I was in San Antonio for a workshop. I found the hotel to be clean and the staff coureous. Breakfast was convenient and there was also a variety of restaurants nearby: I actually walked to dinner one night. I would stay there again if I had business in the area.
Was really impressed with our room and the overall conditions. Very Clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to San Antonio for the US Air Force graduation. Breakfast was very good also.

Small pool, no fruit at breakfast
"Young manager with customer service problem"
When checking out I ran into a manager that did not want to try to take care of us. He was more interested in blaming everyone else and to busy to make it easier for us to check out. We loved this hotel up until time to check out. I would stay here again.

Overall everyone was nice and helpful. The morning shift personnel where better than the evening personnel. In the evening it was difficult to get fresh coffee and one evening the person working told me she did not now how to make coffee.

I would just like to say that I really enjoyed this hotel. The only small complaints I would have (and it is very nominal) the beds were a little to firm for my liking and the bathroom door was not able to lock. I have a 3 year old and he wanted to open the door each time his grandfather used it. Other than that, breakfast was wonderful as was the room, […] pool and so forth. "SpringHill Suites - Close to Lackland"
Hotel was pretty much average, had trouble with smell from air conditioner, used febreeze and it helped. Decent breakfast. Carpets need cleaning bad, white socks turned black after walking on carpet in hall and room. Very convienent for our purpose (Air Force Graduation)
"nice stay"
The hotel was nice and clean and close to our destination of Sea World. The rooms were nice and clean and the reception personell were very nice. However, the breakfast area was too small for the amount of customers and I felt it was a little lacking for the cost of the rooms.

Very close to Sea World, great staff, clean hotel, spacious rooms. However, breakfast was a disaster. Everyone trying to eat free breakfast at the same time. Choices were very limited. If you are staying for the "free breakfast" -- I would rethink that!
"Great Hotel close to Lackland, AFB"
This hotel met our needs on our recent trip to Lackland AFB. The suite was spacious, i liked the double bathroom feature: (1 room toilet/sink/vanity)( other room shower/sink/vanity) The breakfast was not bad either, for a free morning meal. Examples are eggs,bacon,sausage,yogurt,oatmeal,toast,bagels. Rusty, the gentleman who worked the breakfast bar […] did an great job at keeping everything well stocked and clean. Yea, people complain about no a.c. in the elevator but who cares it's not like your in there for very long. Overall, i'd definitely recommend this great hotel. Super easy access off of 410. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Springhill Suites, the hotel has been renovated beautifully and the room was great, the rate was also very affordable. However, there were a couple of things that concerned us. The indoor pool was a very important feature for us due to traveling with our five children. The floor area arond the pool was soaked and very […] dangerous, even with our shoes on we were slipping just walking in the door to the pool. Also the amount of chemicals in the pool was really harsh and we were not able to swim for long, it was hard on all of our eyes. Another thing that was a struggle was breakfast. It seemed like the hotel had a hard time keeping up with the morning breakfast traffic and there wasn't much of a selection, and our kids eat early! On our last day we finally gave up and went to IHOP down the street just to get a good breakfast. Other than that we would definitely recommend this hotel and if we're ever in the area again we would definitely return to this hotel! Les mer

Our family loved this spacious, clean and comfy room for an overnight stay while at SeaWorld. It was perfect for our needs and close to the park. The room we got had stains in the carpet and stains on the couch. Also, the clean towels in the bathroom had stray hairs on them. The toilet is separate from the bathtub and the doors are glass to the both of them. So you dont get alot of privacy.

We chose this hotel because of the closeness to sea world. It looked amazing online and I couldn't believe the price it was offered at. When we arrived everything was just as it was online but better. The rooms are very big, the separation of the toilet and shower in the room is great. I loved the color scheme of the hotel, the rooms, and the floors. […] This hotel felt like a 5 star hotel but without the high price. The only complaint I would have is that the pool was very cold compared to the room it was housed in. Breakfast the next morning was great for a hotel continental breakfast. Bacon, eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, bagels, etc. Several different drink chioces as well. Everything was delicious and fresh. "Family Vaction To Sea World"
Over all this was a very nice Hotel to stay at, the rooms were clean the indoor pool was nice, a little small but that's not why we stayed. The only problem that I can think of would be the you can hear when people go running down the halls on your floor or the floor above you, but I seem to find this at every hotel I stay at, so not that big of a deal. […] This hotel is really close to Sea World, and is surrounded by plenty of places to go shopping and plenty of place to eat at. I found it nice to have a Target and a Wal-Mart within a mile of the hotel. Les mer

"Wonderful stay!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SpringHill Suites! The daily breakfast offers something to satisfy everybody: oatmeal, cereal, scrambled eggs, waffles, etc. We would definitely stay there again!

"SpringHill Suites by Marriott needs some attention"
Upon our arrival, the hotel seemed nice, but the longer we were there the more things we noticed that we were unhappy with. First off the door to the bathroom where the shower was, the lock was broken. The closet in our room smelled like mildew. Due to the sliding design on the bathroom door and the steam from the shower there was mold on the wall by […] the bathroom you could only see when the bathroom door was closed. Our first night the kids wanted to swim in the pool, boy was this a dissappointment. The pool is indoors which is nice but that is about the only thing. It is very tiny for the size of the hotel and the fact the hotel is constantly full. Not only is it to small, it was very noticeably GREEN and the chlorine smell was so strong it burned your eyes while sitting by the pool. There were not any clean dry towels in the pool area either, just an empty rack. Another issue was that house keeping neglected to change the bedding as they should, I know this because, the first night my daughter got a bit of chocolate on top of one of the bed covers and the next day not only was the chocolate still there but it had been hidden by the decorative cover. The third day our sheets were finally changed, must have changed housekeepers because everything was clean, neat and fresh. Also, at one point we requested extra towels, which 2.5 hrs later we still hadnt received so we had to call and request them again. Finally about another half an hour we received them. The breakfast was pretty good for continiental, they had a pretty good variety of things and it was well stocked but it does get very busy down there early on. The beds were fairly comfortable and it was nice to have the couch with the additional pullout bed for the extra room. Lastly, this hotel is to close to 410 loop. Initially I thought it would be good because close to Sea World but its hard to get in and out of because the off ramp is literally right there. "Family Vacation"
Our vacation was remarkable!! The hotel was beautiful!! Great customer service!! Quality linens and spacious rooms. I got to check in early and they were able to give me adjoining rooms. I will definitely recommend this hotel!

When I entered my room upon arrival - I discovered my transh can was still full and since it was 9:00 pm at night - no one was available to remove it. A light in the bath room was out - never fixed The orange juice was broken only milk was available - breakfust was ok, but I have had better

My family stayed at this hotel because it was close to Sea World. The outward appearence of the hotel was nice and the staff was nice. The location of the hotel was awesome because it was in close proximity to numerous restraunts and shopping. The room was nice but the carpet was not as clean as you would expect from a fairly new hotel. My husband […] complained that the bed was not very comfortable which is not good especially when you are sleeping on them for several nights. Another down side of the room was the lack of decent tv channels. There were numerous news stations, 1 childs station and a few music channels available. Other than those there were no movie channels or other channels you expect at a hot el. The free breakfast was a disaster because by the time we made it to breakfast, they were out of waffles which were the kind you pop in a toaster. The other items were ok but not that great. Needless to say, we ended up purchasing breakfast elewhere. The last complaint I have in regards to this hotel is that the indoor pool was extremely small and the chlorine was so strong it burned our eyes. We didnt stay long. Les mer
"EXCEPTIONAL!!"
Springhill is conveniently located 5 minutes from Sea World and 15 minutes from the River Walk. The hotel is very pleasant & clean with a good complimentary breakfast. It is located by a variety of restaurants, fast food and sit down, and very close to wal-mart. On a scale of 1-10, it definitely receives a 10. Customer service was exceptional!

I LOVED this place. My kids and I went on our very first vacation and I was completely satisfied with this hotel. Everything was clean to the tee, FREE breakfast, which is a plus for me because I have 4 kids. The employees were OUTSTANDING. The staff was so nice and polite that it made me very thankful to be on vacation and that I decided to stay there. WE ENJOYED OUR STAYED. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST FOR FREE. BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE ROOM WAS NICE AND CLEAN. THING I DID NOT LIKE: NO AIR CONDITION IN THE ELEVATORS, THE POOL HAD EXTRA CHEMICALS(CHLORINE?) WE COULD NOT EVEN STAY FOR MORE THAN 10 MIN, WE LEFT THE WATER WITH OUR EYES BURNING AND OUR THROAT SORE AND COUGHING. WATER FOUNTAIN IN THE EXCERSICE […] ROOM BROKE. Stayed 3 nights. All employees very nice and accomodating. My wife was concerned about someone seeing through foggy glass on bathroom doors but no worries you cant see a peep! Lots of light though if someone gets up on middle of the night. Not enough employees working for breakfast and one day the line was very, very long with no food. The indoor pool […] was not acceptable, air ventaliation was terrible and the chlorine levels were not correct leaving water smelly. Water does not drain and water sits on floor around pool contributing to the smelly inside pool area. My eyes hurt for two days and my 7 year old needed his inhaler for asthma. Pool was biggest disappointment so I rated 3 for condition of hotel because the rest of the hotel was fine. Again friendly employees, its near restaurants and a Target shopping center & Wal Mart. Great hotel. Pool needs much work. less than 10 min from Sea World and 20 from Fiesta Texas. Les mer

"Near Sea World"
The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff and nice breakfast buffet. My two issues with this hotel are that the beds were very hard so my husband and I didn't sleep much and there were no towel racks. We stayed there with my son and swam in the indoor pool. We showered and looked for a place to put our towels and swim suits. There was one small […] hook to hang towels on and it was about to fall off. We are fine with reusing towels but not if they are still wet because there was no where to hang them. (not even a place for hand towel) I put a towel in the floor of the closet and hung our swim suits there. It was a carpeted closet and so if I am not the only one to do this it will eventually lead to mold problems. Les mer
"Good and Economical "Sea World" Hotel"
Very close to many restaurants and Sea World. However, so close to Loop 410 and 151 enterchange it is difficult to get out and about during rush hour. Recommend turning right instead of left from hotel parking lot and traveling a little farther to destinations instead of waiting for that horrible 410 traffic. Hotel Staff was excellent and friendly.
