Best Budget Inn - Abilene - Abilene

I got a little worried at check in because even though the motel advertised ALL rooms as being non-smoking rooms, the guy at the counter told me he didn't have one available and that all he had were smoking rooms. After a bit of arguing I told him I'd call Hotels.com and see what they could do about the problem. Suddenly he decided that "even though […] he'd probably get in trouble for it, i could have a non-smoking room that was booked by someone else before I made my reservation." Clean but no frills. Inexpensive. But the linens were clean, water hot and the tv worked. Not a bad deal for a business overnight.

There is a train right across the street that runs atleast every 2 hours through the night and day. People outside their doors drinking being loud as the train. Window locks weren't even locked and was actually missing one of the locks. Floors were very dirty had white socks on to keep from getting dirty feet and when I went to take them off the bottoms […] were black! Not a grey, a black. Overall did not feel safe staying in the hotel at all. Les mer

I rented 3 rooms. One room the fridge didn't work. One room the fridge froze everything. One room didn't have the proper protection. The train was right across the street so you heard it all night long. It was noisy from other people staying there and talking outside all night long. Plus you had to deal with the prostitutes walking by. I won't stay […] there nor will I suggest it to anyone else!!! Les mer

Hotel was across the street from the railroad tracks and not in a very good neighborhood (heard sirens all night and morning). Furniture had holes in coverings and shower curtain needed to be cleaned or thrown away.

The hotel was very old and the smell of the room was smokey and musty. The bathroom tub was rusty and the soap dish was torn off the wall. The wall was no repaired. The hotel is located across the street from a railroad track and they have 4 or 5 trains between 10:00pm and 7:00 am. Very Loud! The bed was comfortable and the staff nice. My family and I need a reasonable hotel in which to stay as we visited our family in Abilene for the weekend. Other than a minor misunderstanding/miscommunication about replacement towels and a coke can left on top of refrigerator, the hotel was comfortable. motel was close to north/south freeway where we needed to go. Also is very close to rail Road and some very loud trains. We left TV on and trains didn't bother us too much. Room was clean but a little musty smelling.That's why we travel with Free-breeze. Other than some railroad noise motel was quite. No breakfast of any kind and restaurants are not […] real close. The staff here did a great job of making sure I was taken care of. I appreciate that type of treatment when I've been on the road for over a week. The rate was awesome as well as the people here.

The hotel room was clean. The service was decent, but the air conditioner was so loud going off and on that it woke us up over and over. It was very loud, not just slightly loud.

I had a nice time staying there. I completely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Abilene.

Mattress and pillows were lumpy.

Great place, they helped us a great deal with our problems.
