The Burnside Guest House - Ayr

Liz, the owner, couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome and comfortable. There were lots of nice touches, such as having a dvd player and dvds, home made breakfast, and free wifi. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and cleaned to a high standard. Great location for the centre of Ayr and other locations in Ayrshire, and is about […] a 2 minute walk from the seafront. Parking permits are provided and I had no difficulty finding a space. Liz was a wonderful host. She provided an abundant and delicious breakfast. The hotel is only 10 mins. taxi ride from Prestwick Airport (£10) and the room and rate was great for a solo traveller.

I loved this bed and breakfast. Liz is absolutely lovely and very welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, prepared fabulous breakfasts, offered passes for parking, and discount vouchers for the Rabbie Burns cottage and museum. A great Guest House close to the seafront and town centre. Our room No.2 was just lovely, with a double bed to die for, so comfortable. Our on-suite bathroom had everything in it for your needs, especially the great shower. The breakfast menue had so many choices to choose from and the food was cooked to perfection. Firstly, our room was immediately upgraded, as the larger room wasn't being used that night. Very comfortable, sooo much room, beautiful breakfast, quiet room, nice location. Would stay here again if in the area. 5/5.

After a very last minute booking, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who was really helpful in every way. The double room was cozy, beautiful and very clean. The king bed was extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast. The only flaw: our room had a really small bathroom, with no place to hang a towel.
