Iberostar Rose Hall Beach All Inclusive - Montego Bay

The hotel is beautiful architecturally.The food was very good. The room smelled very musty.That was really disconcerting..The smell would keep me from returning.

For a hotel that is less than 5 years old, it is very surprising and annoying that the only place to get internet access is sitting in the lobby(and you have to pay extra to do that). The food was decent, but the restaurants along with most everything else had very inconvenient opening and closing times. No hot tub on premises was also surprising.

Excellent food at all the restaurants and the buffets. Exceptional and attentive service by all the staff. Our standard room was a good size with a nice bathroom. The only small complaint was the musty smell in our room. We told this to the management and they immediately placed us in another room. The smell not nearky as strong as in the previous room. Room and overall conditions of the resort were nice however the food in the 3 onsite restaurants were horrible and not even fit to eat. Desserts at the resort were the store bought frozen stuff, or so it tasted, and were always done buffet style. The main buffet restaurant was pretty good although eating in that for all your meals but 2 (that you're […] permitted for a 5 night stay in the restaurants) gets old. The staff was friendly but when we needed to make a local and 1-800 call to get flight assistance due to an air traffic controller strike nobody would help us and even Guest Services told us to ask some lady who operated one of the tour companies to see if we could use her phone. Overall a decent value for the dollar but the beach was sub par at best and at the pool it was very loud with lots of drinking and stupid games played by the staff. If you're looking for relaxation and good food this isn't your place. Les mer

The resort employees were very nice. The Star Friends worked extremely hard to keep everyone involved. The beach was beautiful and the water was so warm. Kids enjoyed swimming up to the pool bar for there favorite drink called the mickey mouse. First complaint would be the smell of the rooms are so musty. The first night I had problems with my sinuses […] when trying to fall asleep because the smell is so overwhelming. The air conditioner system does not pump right. The floors would become slippery from humidity. We also had a second room because we are a family of five and that room was the same. You could smell the dampness in the hallways before entering the rooms. We have been to other resorts in Jamaica and have never had that experience. Second complaint would be nightly shows. We attended two of the shows. Very cheap entertainment. My thirteen year old niece sings better than those performers. My third an final complaint would be the kids club. We witnessed in 94 degree heat kids sleeping on the staff workers in the hot sun looking dehydrated. Than one staff member pulling a five year old boy down the red hot sand by the hand . How on earth could parents drop there kids off at this kids club knowing there kids are being dragged around all over the resort in that heat. My kids wanted no part of that club after witnessing that. Didn't see children involved in the kids club in the pool or in the ocean cooling off the whole time I was there. The Iberostar Rose Hall-Beach is a very beautiful hotel. The room service, restaurant staff, cleaning and pool staff went out of their way to make the stay very enjoyable. My only disappointment was in the front desk, customer service and tour desk located at the front of the hotel. When I made an inquiry to either party I was treated with rudeness. […] The reason for choosing this hotel was a friend's wedding as I will recommend this hotel I do hope the attitude has changed. Overall we loved the hotel! The rooms had a little bit of musty smell, but we seem to always find that by the ocean. I do think the maids should be using a more "scented"(all natural product tho due to asthma and allergy issues)and mop the floors better with clean water with a nice chemical free scent to help with the must smell? Even after the maid […] came, I noticed the floors if wiped again with a white towel had dirt/dust on them.(i am a bit of a freak about my feet and floors so i always throw down a towel to walk around too, especially over their little rug they had between beds-eww other peoples foot/toe jam...yuk!) Most of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Great food! The buffets were very good, lots to choose from! We only ate at the Japanese specialty restaurant, which was VERY GOOD! Wish we would have checked out the other specialty restaurants! We used our own cab driver referred by a friend and saved a bit each time instead of using the cab drivers the hotel had ties with. The best a little expensive but worth every dime

Recently stayed at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach all inclusive November 4 - 9. Nice value resort, only 20 minutes from the airport. Property is new and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food options were solid for an all inclusive. Buffet was better than most and as a result could be an option every evening if needed. Bartenders were pleasant and […] willing to make any drink requested. Plenty of chairs at the beach, but limited around pool due to size of pool area...not bad, just limited if you get to the pool late. Not a big deal with the beach so close. Entertainment was better than expected and a nice option if you do not wish to go off property. Overall a very nice experience. If we go back, we may stay at the connected Iberotsar Suites next door, but not sure if the additional expense would be worth it. Very pleased with our stay at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. Les mer

Never stay at this hotel.

I was very dissappointed that at no time(breakfast/lunch/Dinner) in the dining hall at this hotel was Jamaican music every played. 99.% of the music played was Spanish/ Mexican Music and 1% American music. Jamaican music was played very, very little and only by the pool area.

Nada a dizer do hotel. Acho que a praia podia ser melhor. Muitas algas quase ate a beira da praia.
