The Tithe Barn - B&B - Rutland Water

Everything was clean and comfy. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable: they have compiled an informative guest guide of sights and activities. The breakfast was delicious and fulsome. There's plenty of parking and easy access to the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return. It felt like a home away from home.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful place, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was wonderfully cooked and about the biggest ive ever eaten.

A peaceful nights sleep followed by a great breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We booked at short notice for a weekend break away. Exceptional friendly hosts and as we are partial to a sherry we found a decanter of it in our room to be very welcome. The breakfast is simply first class from local sources. It's location seems to be ideally 'away from it all' but with a good local pub 5 minutes walk away and so many nice villages […] and attractions just a few minutes drive in every direction it has the best of both worlds. A super place for a romantic break. We enjoyed staying in room 6 with its very comfortable bed, nice conservatory with views of the garden and super power shower. There are lots of places to visit and good places to eat nearby. We particularly enjoyed walking around the Hambleton peninsula and eating at Il Oliveto restaurant with sunset views over […] Rutland Water. Les mer

Excellent venue for visiting surrounding areas and Tolthorpe open air theatre. Near local village pub/shop etc. Breakfast excellent and the little extras's provided in the room were very welcome. Would certainly stay again.

A very pleasant and comfortable stay. The room and bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Nice location too for exploring Rutland and Rutland Water.

Lovey B+B in quiet village. liked the little touches in the room such as the complementary decanter of sherry. folder in room detailing local attractions and pubs (would recommend the sun inn). comfortable stay and great breakfast.

Excellent, large comfortable room, clean. Glass of sherry available on arrival. Very good breakfast, with wide choice. Very quiet location. Recommended.

A very friendly reception, a relaxed atmosphere, excellent facilities and a satisfying breakfast. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again !

1st class in every respect, location, accomodation and more importantly a lovely welcome from hosts who were genuinely pleased to have guests in their home.

Well presented bedroom and very good breakfast. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The private bathroom was separate to the bedroom and contained, although this is advertised. The bath had no shower facility but I guess this is a personal preference. Would recommend.

Very nice B&B. Owners helpful and friendly. Room compact and comfortable. The bathroom unique to the room is opposite and not en suite but that was not an issue. Would definately stay again.

Tucked away in the attractive village of Cottesmore we enjoyed a relaxing night in our room that even had its own conservatory that overlooked a lovely little garden. Great to sit down and read for hours without the children ! This B & B was perfect for our requirements. Easy to get to (we were house hunting in Stamford) and a lovely location. Great room facilities and a delicious breakfast. We were given lots of access to information on the area and great recommendations on places to eat etc. We were also able to purchase delicious chutney that had been made by the owners. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival at the family run Tithe Barn and we were pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our room with it's own conservatory and upmarket bathroom. The room was extremely comfortable and very relaxing with it's view of the garden. We had an excellent cooked breakfast in the Barn the following morning and we […] were made to feel very much at home. Tithe Barn was a really nice place to stay in beautiful surroundings. The village was really charming. Tithe Barn itself was very comfortable and it had many nice little touches showing that the host does like the guests to be comfortable. The breakfast was very nice too. All in all an excellent place to stay.
