The hotel is nice, not fancy but cool/trendy and clean. Beds are very comfortable. One thing that's is utterly annoying - the nice espresso machine in the room with... the lack of capsules in the room. Finding out when you get up that not only do you have to pay $2 for your coffee capsule but that you have to go downstairs to get it from front desk […] is insulting and totally against providing a "cool and modern" experience for your guests. Room was too warm during the night. The air conditioning shuts off automatically. Other than that, a great place to stay in Quebec. Close to shopping. Lots of places to eat nearby or take the bus into old Quebec.

The staff were wonderful - very friendly. The only problem was the lack of fan/ventilation in the bathroom! The rest of the hotel was great.

An excellent hotel in all aspects apart from the location. It was out of the main town areas and was a good 15/20 minute bus ride into town but wasn't a problem as the bus stop was just down the road and the buses were very frequent.

Very nice hotel close to a lot of business places as well as two major shopping centers. Staff is very professional and the wifi connexion is very good.

Fabulous food at the restaurant. room design excellent. Not a fan of the no free in-room . coffee as considered part of the minibar perks.

This hotel is very well organised and managed. The room has been clean, and the bathroom has everything one needs. A few inconvenients: the breakfast and the location. We like a nice continental breakfast, with lots of choices, which usually costs around $10.00. This was not the case. We have been wakened in the middle of the night by powerful knockings […] at the door for which we would not have received even an appologize if we would not have raised the issue at the reception next morning. But this are facts of life. All in all, we loved our trip, and we enjoyed our stay at ALT, but if we would have to go back to Quebec City, we would stay at Hilton or Marriott. Les mer

The room was gorgeous, the bed was really comfy. Free parking, the hotel is just accross the street from a big fancy mall, but a long drive to the old city. The only resturant in the hotel was too expensive, and the room service options were too. If they can't have a low cost cafe option than I think they should have included complimentary coffee in […] the room, that would have made the morning much nicer for me. Sometimes it is the little things that are off putting, I didn't like that they were charging $2 for coffee packets...every other hotel we stayed at included at least one free coffee. Had a great stay - lovely room - very clean and comfortable. Shower was great - pressure was very strong though. Bathroom would also need a few towel rails to hang towels. However would definitely stay again - good location near shopping and not far from Old Quebec downtown.

Everything was perfect! The location is not the best. In fact, when you just get to the hotel parking lot it doesn't look too nice (a strip mall, no personality, no style and a Zellers across the street). Top notch accommodations. Easy access from major highways. Appreciated the valet parking service. Convenient location for shopping but need to use car or public transit to reach the main tourist areas. We would definitely use this hotel again.

We stayed here on our third night of a four day Quebec trip. After spending two nights in Vieux Quebec, we were a bit worried about going outside the Old City but we need not have been. ALT Hotel was absolutely stunning on the inside. The room was beautiful, the bathroom had the best shower, good shampoo and conditioner, and a gorgeous fluffy robe. […] Soft jazz music was playing when we entered the room, and the furnishings and lights were amazing. There's a bus 3 minutes walk from the hotel that takes 15 minutes to get into Old Quebec, and it runs until 2 AM I believe. So this is the perfect hotel. Les mer

It was a quick "overnight" after a long drive but we could well imagine staying there for a longer time. Staff firendly and helpful, amenities superb, stylishness much appreciated. Now if you could just do something about the weather . . .

ALT hotel was better than we expected. We liked everything about it. Having Starbucks steps away is great . Room was exceptionally clean and bed was comfortable. The only fault we found was that shower was leaking, they should put something to prevent it. Location was OK, taking bus 800 or 801 to downtown was pleasant. We will come again.

I regularly rent hotels on a weekend to get away on short holidays... This hotel was amazingly comfortable and made us feel at home away from home. Their price remains the same all year round. The shower was amazing with its shower head that could be easily adjusted. There was no noise and the curtains keep the room dark if needed. Beautiful architecture and design. Even the waitresses at the restaurant are wearing fashionable dresses made with trendy fabrics. I know what I'm talking about since I'm a fashion designer. Great room for the price! Very nice bathroom, but a little problem with the sound isolation... Despite the thick wooden door, you can hear someone breathe in the bedroom, so you don't really have any privacy... and the same problem, at a lower degree, applies to the rooms: we could hear people talk and some noise. Not a big problem, for worht mentionning […] for people who need a super quiet place to sleep late. The parking was full and the underground parking offers very narrow places. But it was nighttime and usually it is a valet parking so it is not a problem. The parking is free. The shower is great, the bed very comfortable. TV and cable are very average, not to say poor, but I don't go to hotels to watch tv! Overall, great affordable hotel. I would go back. Les mer

I had a conference in Quebec City at Université Laval and hotel ALT was one of the suggested hotels. It was close to Université Laval, but it was far from most of the attractions in Quebec City. The room was clean and comfortable and the service was good. The price was reasonable. Overall, nice and comfortable hotel, but not exceptional.

We had a reservation for 2 nights but we decided to stay an extra night.Very nice hotel,clean,modern and right next door to Place Laurier,and two other malls.We didnt try the restaurant,but did have room service for breakfast one morning,which was delicious.The staff were very helpful and friendly.

But nothing to see or do around it. The hotel is very nice, very modern, although the decor is a tad cold to my personal taste. I didn't like that they put coffee makers in the rooms, but charge for the coffee itself.

Stayed here for two nights rather than closer to the Old Port because of availability. Friendly service, clean, modern rooms, good restaurant next door, free parking and wifi. Beds were very comfortable. Property was quiet both nights. It is located near major shopping centers and the University of Laval, and just a few kilometers from the Plains of […] Abraham. It's a quick trip to the Old Port or anywhere in upper or lower town. We will definitely stay here again because of the quality of the property and the price - great, great value. Les mer

The hotel rooms were very small, did not have great ambience.The shower was leaky as water kept on flowing out and the roof was also leaky. The rooms did not come with even basic necessities like coffee or tea had to purchase everything and trust me it is not a good experience getting up first thing in am and going down to the reception to buy a coffee […] packets/pods. Can easily find much better facilities in the same price range. Les mer

Excellent service!! I loved the natural and biodegradable products and all the hotel policy to take care of the environnement. The only "bad" thing is that they charge you for coffee and you have to go downstairs to have it. The price per cup is too expensive! You should include at least 2 cups and charge for the extra.

ALT hotel is a cool place to stay... very modern. The shower head is out of this world! The mattress was firm and comfortable... I'll stay here again. It's a little far from vieux Québec (a $15 cab ride), but close to great shopping, and several great restaurants.

The ALT hotel is a modern and clean place that is great for younger couples. I would recommend that you have a car if you would like to visit Old Quebec or Isle d'Orleans...they have free parking!

I love the ALT Hotel! It is stylish, very clean and the staff is really helpful and friendly. We liked it so much we added on a third day to our stay in Quebec. It is a short drive into the old city, but also near a huge mall and plenty of places to get a bite to eat. You really can't get more for the price!
