Vi bodde 5 dager på dette hotellet. Rommet har atkomst fra svalgang og er av vanlig amerikansk standard. Hotellet er beliggende i annen rekke fra stranden, litt langt mot nord, men med hyggelige omgivelser. Bassenget er lite for voksne, men ok for mindre barn. Rommet inneholder mikrobølgeovn og kjøleskap, men det er dårlige muligheter for å spise på rommet.

Det var stor forsell på rommene vi fikk. Det ene var ok på alle måter, mens det andre hadde en inngangsdør som så vidt lot seg åpne og lukke. Og i gangen var det litt dårlig lukt, samt at det ikke var særlig varmt på badet. Rommene er utstyrt med lokalt aircondisionagregat, og dtte medfører endel støy. Videre virker restaurant og bar "litt kalde" og ikke så alt for trivelige. Et pluss for gode senger og masse puter for dem som liker dette.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet nede ved sjøkanten og i direkte forbindelse med et fint gangsystem langs bryggene, og samtidig nært til Norfolks trivelige bysentrum. Betjeningen er hyggelig og hjelpsom.

"Rett på stranden"
Slitt hotell rett på stranden i sentrale del av Virginia Beach. Hvis du er fornøyd med enkel overnatting er dette helt ok.
"Mighty Surprising"
I was so surpised. There is limited parking in front (which I expected) but the over all feel of the hotel was friendly and pleasent. The room was perfectly clean except for a strange mild stale smell in the room. But its off season so we figured the room hasn't been used much. The staff was beyond friendly. I would stay here again!

"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!"
Customer Service was a joke! The front desk could care less about our concerns. The rules of the hotel are just unreal. We were there for a cheerleading competition. Virginia Beach was slammed with thousands of young squealing, excited cheerleaders. We were told very bluntly that it was to THEIR discretion as to if our girls was being too loud and if […] they were we would have to vacate immediately! Once getting into the room, we thought "ok this isnt so bad." It appeared to be clean. We rent an efficiancy with the thoughts of having a stovetop to cook our meals. UMMMM.... NOOOO! It was a hot plate mounted in the countertop! We woke up the next morning using the alarms on our phones due to lack of alarm clocks, to find two roaches in the box of donuts I purchased the night before for my kids breakfast! Parking is offsite. You will have to park one block over from the hotel. This has been the worst experience ever! I would NEVER recommend this hotel! Les mer
"Dump"
This place was a dump I was so disappointed in this place the pictures on the web site are not pictures of the room it was so old and had a bad smell to it and it was some made up in door pool I was afraid to sleep in there and it was a bug in my room the night manger was not as friendly and the day manger I just will never stay there ever again

The hotel was a little outdated but very clean. The only downside was they said they had a "heated" indoor pool... It sure didn't feel heated 2 me. But everyone was very nice & it was very clean & the beds were comfy

The hotel was great and a great value. What mae our stay the best was the restaurant located in the building. I recommend the pancakes. The are the best around.

Comfortable,cozy and located on the boardwalk, our room was so clean and the owners were very courteous. Their is an indoor garden and a little diner located on the premises that has GREAT food! It was perfect getaway! Good price,too!

"Great stay, rooms, location!"
It is a diamond in the rough-rooms were clean, beds were comfy, inexpensive, right on boardwalk/beach, indoor pool, great lil' diner on site (bfast all day!) Owners were very stern about who was in your room-no unregistered visitors (cuts down on crime, wild partying, etc but I didn't mind cuz we didn't have any visitors anyway). Also, I recv'd a call […] at 11:10am reminding me that check out was 11am and what was my status....Could've been a little friendlier IMHO. Still...I'll be back for sure! "Quaint quiet nice-on beach"
Hotel is older and while it could use some updates, it is clean and well kept-Employee's were friendly and helpful. You can tell that they have a vested interest in their hotel (seems like they are all related)-they don't want visitors (parties) outside of who is registered-this I like....This is a no frills stay (no shampoo, no coffee or filters for […] the coffee pot, etc), located on the boardwalk/ocean. There is a year round quaint cafe-while I saw in other posts that they had a full breakfast included with their room-we were told we didn't have that option with our billing (we didn't know we had the option to add it).....We just saw dolphins swimming off the shore from our window :) We have a kitchenette efficiency on the beach for little money-we will definitely stay here again- (actually we just added another night)... "The Sea Side Hotel....back in time."
I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. It's a quaint Hotel built in the 40's and has some renovation over the years. It actually reminds me of the hotels along the old Route 66. The rooms are clean and as they are bare...no frills, but a comfy bed, hot showers, fridge and TV. And on the ocean! Parking was not that convenient, but free. There was also a full […] breakfast served included in my stay. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The owner lives in the hotel and has owned it since the 50's. He's 85 and a nice gentleman. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who has or does not have a budget. What a bargain! Just remember to bring your shampoo and hair dryer. Enjoy! and Thanks! Les mer

The hotel is older and definitely needs some updates and repairs but for the money you pay we found it to be fine. It's not new and up-to-date, but we decided to spend less money on a hotel and more money on fun things. You don't get any extras with your room that you would with a higher priced hotel, there is no shampoo and no alarm clock, just the […] basics. It was clean and quiet, we would stay there again; the owners were friendly, the room was clean and the hotel is very convenient to everything. The small cafe had good food, good service and was more reasonably priced compared to the other places we ate at. "Not what I expected."
I was upset that I was told that there would be a complementary hot breakfast when I called hotels.com and that was the reason for the extra charge for children. The message on the website also said "Dining: Sea Side Hotel has a restaurant serving breakfast only." The morning that we went down to get breakfast I was told that that was seasonal and would […] not be offered. There were only 8 parking spaces in front and we had to park across the street behind a construction site. The tv picture was discolored (at least the ocean view made up for that a little).To go to the beach you have to go through the lobby and also the cafe entrance. There is no rear entrance. I just wish that they would post that the breakfast would not be free, the least they could have done is offered a free breakfast that first day. The view was beautiful and the location was very close to the ocean. Les mer
"seaside htl, virginia, not classy but convenient"
Not a very high end type of hotel, but it is near all the sights and right at the beach. If you don't spend much time in your room, you will have a great time. Price is reasonable.

"Mistake!"
Reserved through Hotels.com going by pictures which were not representative. My daughter wanted to check out the next morning and go to another hotel, Sea Side informed us that they had to have a 72 hour notice for cancellations and that we wouldn't be refunded for the remaining days. Eventually Hotels.com did intervene, we got the refund. Then the […] manager called to say my daughter had left an iron burn on the carpet and wanted my credit card number. My daughter said it was there when they arrived. The manager didn't persist. Les mer

TV did not work good no internet in the room, No coffee in room and had to pay for it. Free Breakfast they could keep to greasey, but it makes a good laxetive if you need one. The hotel Towels are thin and rough and are a killer on the skin. This hotel need a remodle for it location. The only thing good wes is location on the beach. Was charged $14.00 […] for one extra person for one night and that was not exped but a family member that lives in VA beach stayed Friday night and to be chareg $14.00 for one oerson for one night that is just high way robbery for the gread of hotel;. For what I paid total I could of went to the Hoilday Inn next door and got points. The hotel clerk was helpful when book as I go a room with water view. But looking at the hotels around there were much nicer and had in room internet and had rooms cheaper. The Ses Side needs to close and update everything. I give it one star!!!! And the in door pool was very cold!! This is a last resort hotel if there are no rooms anywhere else. The thing that that bugs the me was we wnet with no TV Friday night but was chageded $14.00 for one person for one night. GO some where else trust me! Les mer

Very nice place. Hotel requires ID & signatures from every adult in the room, and is strict about number of guests allowed--you may want to call and ask if expecting friends to visit during your stay (All guests staying in hotel guestrooms must be registered with the hotel. ). We didn't have time to eat the free breakfast but the dining room was updated […] and very large--much bigger than the common continental breakfast rooms. Offers free breakfast--also serves lunch. Room was clean. We had a room on the side but we still had a nice, close-up view of the ocean and beach when we stepped out onto the shared balcony. Hotel is right on the beach, only the boardwalk separates hotel & sand. Staff was cheerful and friendly. Parking is limited in front, only 8-10 spaces and one 15-min check in spot. Additional parking is available behind the hotel across the street. We were offered an additional night for about $10 less. Les mer
