If you are looking for a four star hotel do not stay here. Room was tiny, mattressses were hard & the noise about 7:00 am every morning will serve as your wake up call. As the +'s- Because of it central location I paid $140 pesos for an airport van versus $300 pesos for an airport taxi to get here. Super location close to everything downtown. Topatio […] tour, the Cathedral, Mariachi Square, Mercado San Juan de Dios all 5-15 minute walk. The luxury local buses are three blocks away $ cost $11.00 pesos to Tonala, Tlaquepacque & Zapopan. Generally a good stay. The bed a bit tough and the neighborhood not so pleasant or safe-seeming at night...actually a commercial district near main busy street, so not so pleasant.

the hotel staff during the day was rude and not helpful. this hotel is good mainly to shower and sleep.

I would not recomment this hotel unless you are on a budget. It is noisy the staff is bad!

THE PROBLEM IS , NO ELEVATOR AND THE PARKING IS NOT IN THE HOTEL IS 1 BLOCK AWAY FROM THE HOTEL

Cheap hotel, but really could use some maintenance that does not require much money. Like paint the mold in bathroom and change the shower curtain! Only costs a couple of dollars to do so!!

the hotel location is very good. But the inconvenience was no telephone service in the room, no elevator, no complemetary water in the room.

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the market, churches, parks, and restaurants. The hotel itself though was awful,no elevator so you have to carry your luggage upstairs, I could not sleep at all because you can hear every single noise from surrounding rooms. My gold earrings were stolen from my room. The power went out a lot, and […] a water pump broke and there was NO water at all for 2 days that I was there, I had prepaid and could not get my money back if I checked out early--even though there was no water!! So I could not shower of flush the toilet. At the last day there they brought me a bucket of water to bath with and flush the toilet with, it was HORRIBLE!! Les mer

the place was nice and the rate certainly reasonable for the city. i really had no complaints except that they insisted on getting a printed copy of the confirmation for their records. when booking on line this is not always easy but they allowed me to go to a internet cafe the next morning to get one printed.

Great location downtown (centro) - nice friendly staff - don't go for breakfast at hotel - best to go down to the market and have breakfast there.

I chose to stay at this hotel after seeing that it had pretty good ratings on the Hotels.com website. The hotel was in a central location, but that is only good thing I can say about it. The room smelled terrible and the bathroom ceiling looked moldy. The shower looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time and there were no hand towels. You are not allowed to check-in without itinerary inhand. We were asked to leave and go to cyber cafe to get a printout before check-in at 10pm. The parking lot is down the street not on premises. Rooms are dirty. Don't expect to have hangers in your closet.

there was no wifi or ac as noted in the hotel description. Front desk staff not very attentive. The place was clean and did the job.

Overall, the room was small, the sheets and bathroom were clean, but carpet could have used more attention. Staff was able to give us a wake up call, order a taxi at 5am, and give us directions to restaurants opened late (11pm) at night, Sanbourns and La Chata. We prefer La Chata. Met our needs for our one night stay. Thanks.

Overall the hotel was nice and cute. It was a simple room, nothing big. It was comfy and small. The rooms do not have a lot of extra space. But for a couple nights stay it works great. Free internet a plus. Would just come in to sleep, shower, and leave. The lobby is beautiful and calm.

I enjoyed this hotel. It is a more tradional Mexican style hotel.. The buffet breakfast was very good. It was a typical Mexican breakfast. If you want to economize, this is the hotel to select.

If you're in Guadalajara to sit in the hotel, this may not be the place for you. But if you want to see the sights, the location is excellent. The hotel was in a very good location, near one of the cities busiest tourist plaza. Near local resturants and local shopping. I was very saticsfied for what a low rate I payed. I am returning to GDL in 2 weeks and have already made my reservation at this hotel.

My wife and I travel a lot and this was, without a doubt, the best place we have ever stayed for the price. Room was small but comfortable and clean. No complaints at all. The place is very centrally located in Guadalajara El Centro within easy walking distance of almost all the major attractions. We were very happy with the hotel.

The location for this hotel is excellent. Three to four blocks from the heart of Downtown Guadalajara. Next to the Mercado for quick meals. Very safe neighborhood to walk even in the late evenining. The staff are very friendly but hardly speak any English. The rooms are clean but the carpet 's color was all over our socks and feet. The breakfast was not so bad considering the low price the hotel has. Have great channels on TV, soap and shampoo. There are about 20 step stairs before you reach the lobby and no elevator but I was expecting this so […] no problem. It is in the shopping historical center. For a low budget hotel this has a great location. Room is small but ample. Bathroom fine although hot water on occassions did take a while to come through. Quiet and safe. Wifi worked fine. Room cleaned daily and water provided. No complaints at all.

Located a short 3 blocks from the main square and cathedral. No street noise, but other guest rooms were close, and a tad chatty late at night. For the price, a very good deal!!

I booked this room for the cheap price only, expecting to find what I had payed for. When I got there I found friendly staff and clean nice room. Es muy cercano a lugares de interes, como la catedral, los tour tapatios, el personal trata de ser atento pero como hotel, demasiado viejo, un olor horrible de las cañerias, el servicio de internet pesimo, un solo canal de television, las cortinas viejas, el cuarto enano, le faltaba una silla, pero bueno no habia donde ponerla tampoco, y lo peor de […] todo en la ducha casi no caia agua, asi que media hora para bañarse y tratar de sacarse el jabon. Es el peor hotel en el que hemos estado, claro, aunque fue muy poco tiempo, preferimos irnos a un hotel en condiciones antes que pasar una noche ahi, aunque por supuesto, perdimos el dinero de la reservaciòn, lastima que estuvimos tan poco tiempo en guadalajara o nos hubieramos pasado a la PROFECO a denunciarlos ya que es un timo, ponen 4 estrellas […] cuando no llega ni a una. No hay elevador, esta sucio, habitaciones apestosas a humedad y pequeñas, el baño era una lastima, en fin, todo un antro, pero a los 30 min ya estabamos en el hotel portobello que ese si es un verdadero hotel. En pocas palabras sugiero que tengan cuidado en mantener limpios todo lo que esta en la recamara, to reserve recamara sencilla no fumadores, me otorgaron una recamara con el baňosucio, el area de la regadera esta llena de hongos estuve en la habitacion 12.
