Hotellets policy er og flå kundene for mest mulig penger. Servicen og informasjonen i resepsjonen er mangelfull og dårlig. Hotellet har egen taxi service og andre taxier og tuk tuk er bannlyst. Prisene er derfor høye. WiFi er gratis på rommet men om du ikke er klar over det og ber om gratis WiFi tilbyr de betal for 2timer og få 3 timer. We had a nice stay, the room was clean and the staff friendly. The breakfast was a bit of disappointment - the bacon was always raw it seemed. The pools were nice and clean, our 14 month old daughter really liked the lower pool with the waterfall. They were doing some construction in lobby. If you're looking to go 'into town' book the van early! First […] come, First serve and they were always booked, even though they have 4 other trucks. Great resort to escape the tourism and crowds of Kamala Beach. With 3 pools, there is no reason to go to Kamala Beach to swim. There is a reliable shuttle to Kamala Town for shopping and restaurants, or a taxi would not be too much since it is about 1/4- 1/2 mile down the hill. Yes, the hotel food is comparitively expensive, but well worth it if you […] do no want to go to town. Breakfast had a wide variety and was worth the price. The view from every room is great. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, pleasant smelling place, this is it. You are still in Phuket, to compare this resort with a European or American resort is not fair. Les mer

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and the restaurant really nice. Great location too being a short drive away from busy Patong. The free shuttle services to Kamala Beach and Patong were really handy. Staff available all hours to book and give advice on tours etc. Lovely view of the ocean from our room too.

Hotel is very secluded, so they appeared to have taken advantage of that by overcharging for drinks/food at the hotel. The prices were double than a normal resort, and 5 times more expensive than you can purchase from local 7/11 store. (The local 7/11 is a 40 min walk). They do have a free shuttle to Kamala and Patong though. The sea view rooms were […] very basic and with the raised platform bed, made the room fell small. We upgraded straight away to one of the villas. The staff were very helpful and showed us the upgrade options before we chose. The villas are a lot more spacious and more modern, including the extra touches (ie, bath robes, flat screen tv, dvd player - which were not in normal rooms). Recommended if you want to get away from it all, views great, but remember your wallet. There are better value/same quality hotels out there. Les mer

We stayed there as a couple and we were totally satisfied with the hotel. Staff was incredibely helpful, rooms were equipted fine and very tastefully. Breakfast was everyday the same but a great wide choice of food was offered. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Kamala, where you are never disturbed by noise and when you want to get to Kamala […] beach or Patong, the hotel offers free shuttles to these destinations. The see is just over the street, where it is amazing to snorkle during lowtide, but otherwise I would rather recommend Kamala beach for swiming. All in all, Aquamarine is a really fine hotel to stay at with a staff that does everything to serve your comfort. Les mer

Hotel needs a make over rooms need to be re done out dated. The climbing of steps & hills is not at all suitable for elderly people or the fittest at all. Service Great the Spa experience at this hotel was 100% those girls were amazing.... Would just go back to do a spa and not stay at the hotel

The hotel provide only 1 way transport to Patong beach at 1130 530 and 2130. Reasons was not made clear to customers why the transport cannot fetch us back to hotel when they are dropping off customers at Patong, in which the driver has to make the trip back to the hotel anyway (in this case, in an empty van). Great veiws from your rooms but not close to town. The hotel has a courtesy bus that operates hourly during the day but no night service. Taxis are plentiful and cheap so you can always get where you need to go quickly. If you have mobility problems this hotel is not for you as there are stairs every where and no lifts. We were on the 3rd floor away […] from the main resort and needed golf cart to get to the room and then negotiate 8 flight of uneven height stairs to get to our room. We got moved to the boottom floor with no steps and still had a great view. The swim up bar was great but service waas slow. not enough staff. Happy hour should be called grumpy barman hour buit he did make a mean coctail. The Restaurant was great and the food for all meals excepotional. Les mer

I liked the place because the staff were courteous and warm. The room was nice but not superb. I had some problems communicating with the staff sometimes but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. I just got irritated wtih room service because I ordered twice and twice they didn't clear the plates from the room after I already called numerous times. […] Still, that's not a dealbreaker. It's a great getaway. It's far from phuket town though. They do provide free shuttle to patong beach and seats are limited. You also have to find your own transportation back. Aquamarine Resort had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere - just what we were after. The views were beautiful, the food plentiful and the staff friendly and always helpful. The choice was ours to sit and chat with the other guest around the pool or to have some quiet time just to ourselves.

This resort was beautiful. The rooms, pools, and views were excellent. The food was delicious and so were the cocktails! I also thought the location was good. Close to a beach and not too close to the noise and smell of the towns. The most dissapointing part of our stay here was the service of the staff. The staff around the reception desk were not […] very helpful and didn't keep us informed. We had to wait for an hour and a half after check in time until we were shown to our room and we were given no explanation or apology. Luckily the staff at the pool-side bar were excellent and made the wait easy. Even when we checked out, staff seemed indifferent. I like hotels that go out of their way to please their customers. Our room was always cleaned and tidied well, however some toiletries were not replaced or refilled. I was pleased that there was a free shuttle service to nearby towns. I suggest that there should be more shuttles running more frequently, including return trips. Only around 3 shuttles a day one way to the major town seems silly for such a large resort. Overall, we did really enjoy our stay and would recommend this 4 star hotel to our friends. Les mer

Staff was fantastic: very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner-themed buffets were fabulous. Pools were wonderful. Basic rooms were small, but very comfortable. They were clean and well maintained. Hotel is very nice and beautiful. Surrounded by nature. Has three pools. I think all rooms are directed to sea. Very good breakfast. Rooms have nice balconies, are clean and in good shape. But one thing I didn't like - wall between room and bathroom has window, which closes with some kind of wooden jalousies. So in a room you can hear and smell everything […] what comes from bathroom. This is stupid. Location - kind of far from bigger cities. But shuttle to near beach is every hour and to far big city three times per day. There's a big problem with taxis in Phuket. They are mafia. A lovely hotel with fantastic views, the hotel is a little out the way but if your after a nice relaxing time then you will get it here. The do have a bus to take you into patong three times a day bus hourly buses taking you to kamala beach.

A beautiful hotel in a great location the only problems were. The beds were too low and too hard and the tv was not tuned properly.The breakfast was good but some staff could not speak English properly so ordering was a bit diffficult.

An online reservation engine proposed this hotel while we were booking flights. Not knowing Phuket we took a chance and booked the hotel too. Kamala bay is much cleaner and serener than neighbouring Patong, the hotel is just outside of the village on the millionaires mile, great views, lovely clean spacious and tastily decorated room, quiet, great breakfasts, […] fantastic pool area. The only letdown was the pool bar service which was slow and sometimes inexistant. Overall well situated and good value for money. Many choices for eating and drinking our it Kamala town. Les mer

Should have taken the past review more seriously. Everything negative about the hotel is TRUE!! The smell in the room, unprofessional staff (especially at the bar and the reception), Saw a mattress they pull out of the nearby room is covered in mould, I was too afraid to see uncover ours. The table around the bar area is very dirty and certainly no […] service at all. We saw the same dirt stain still there after 3 days. Not much hygiene as I saw them pour the wine back into the wine bottle after it's been returned. The only positive is the staff at the restaurant is friendly. Breakfast is ok. Les mer

Excellent hotel whilst having all the ammenities you require and just far enough away from all the nightlife that you can both relax and enjoy the nightlife when you wish. All staff were very pleasant, effecient and helpful. The transport to local beaches was good and more than adequate. Food was good and reasonable variation.

Very friendly staff. Good room service food if you order the thai cuisine. Only bad points I can think of was our room's bathroom was a little dated, there was no iron and ironing board in the room and there was no return pick-up if you get the shuttle to Patong.

I won't recommend this hotel although it has nice ocean view and many facilities. The staff and their services was very disappointing. One occasion we booked their shuttle bus service to Patong Beach. There was more than the van's intended number of passengers. The staff tried to squeeze us in. With the children sitting on the laps of the adults. It […] was very unsafe and dangerous. We requested for an extra vehicle but they refused even though there was empty vehicles all around the hotel. After threatening to report this matter to their manager, they finally agreed to give us an extra vehicle to Patong Beach. The room service was horrible. Every single time we ordered room service, they made mistakes. The first time they gave us extra dish. The second time was when they gave us a wrong dish and the third time was when they forgot to give us our rice we ordered. Les mer

I like variety and this hotel offers it. It is not like a usual hotel. It offers a variety of amenities (pools, fitness etc.) shuttle bus to the beach, friendly staff etc. Only the drinks, the internete etc. are very expensive (hotel prices!). It should have offered better prices.

The hotel is built on a hillside. Good condition is necessary if you get a seaview room uphill. Rooms look a little “tired” and are made with dark wood and a raised platform, which takes some square meters for no use. The restaurant serves high quality food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try the grilled sea bass! The beverage including drinks and minibar […] are very high priced. We joined the “happy hour” in the lobby bar to get a reasonable drink price! If you are looking for a hotel on the beach or surrounded by other hotels and restaurants you will be disappointed. We were looking for neither and were extremely pleased with this hotel, very peaceful and quiet. Paid a little more per day for a stunning oceanview room, as this hotel sits on a hillside. Room was very nice, bathroom good size, however […] shampoo and body wash dispenser left alot to be desired, recommend you bring your own. Walk to Kamala Beach took about 15-20 mins and was a very safe walk even at night, resort offers free shuttle to Kamala Beach every hour but ends at 5 pm, taxi ride costs us 150 baht one way. Views from the bar were very beautiful. Bottom of the driveway across the street was a little bar/restaurant right on a little beach that was very inexpensive and good. Resort had 3 pools all of which were wonderful. The breakfast buffet, which was included, was excellent with a large variety of foods. Overall very clean and impressive hotel, would highly recommend. The hotel pictures are nice but the hotel itself is much better, the only problem was that it does not have direct access to the beach, there is a road in the middle, the beach is not so good as it is full of rocks and corals after few meters inside the water and in low tide it is impossible to dip in the water as it regresses back about 50-100m and […] it is all filled with rocks/corals. The hotel itself is great, many amenities but a little bit on the expensive side, going out to kamala town one can find the same or better food for half the price at least. Once you are there, rent a motorbike and go around Phuket, it is dirt cheap and hardly any gas is consumed and it is much better than a tour or to pay a taxi each time Les mer

We understood when we booked that the hotel is located away from the beach but read about the free shuttle, so we didn't think it would be a problem. It was. There is an hourly service to and from the beach itself, so that's OK but the shuttle to Patong (only three per day) will only let you go one way. Why are you not allowed to take one of them back […] to the hotel? Taxi services on Phuket are extremely overpriced and seem to be run by a mafia style cartel; no competition at all. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful - guess they have heard the same complaints from too many people. Les mer

A very scenic hotel, traditional thai style and wonderfull views. We hired a car so location was no problem, but otherwise regular shuttles to town. Service was friendly , however minor communication difficulties with bar and resturant staff but always an english speaker near at hand to resove and queries and the front desk staff were helpfull and efficient. […] Will definately go again. We arrived at the resort expecting a great deal. The resort has 3 pools which are all stunning, with waterfall cascading over the edge with the seaview as the backdrop. The resort also has a natural waterfall and the landscaping surrounding this was awesome. The free breakfast was almost too good. Dining by the pool for breakfast, lunch or dinner were […] all wonderful. The hotel room (deluxe seaview) was nice enough, but not quite up the standard of the public areas, but quite nice all the same. A few little maintenance issues let it down, but for the price and the size of the resort you cannot complain too much. The resort was a little out of the way but this is why we booked it. They offer free rides to the local beach every hour and rides in Patong twice a day. I thought the location was perfect. Les mer

We stayed for 7 nights and the hotel was lovely. The location is out of the way which isn't good if you want to go shopping or partying all night but for my wife and I, we wanted piece and quiet. This is exactly what we got. You can sleep any time of the day and the rooms are very clean. Service was good at the restaurant/bars but we were very concerned […] with a security issue that happened on our 2nd last day. We were sitting in our room when the door opened and a guy was about to enter. When he saw me he shut the door and left. At first I thought it must have been a check-in mistake with another guest but we called reception to report it and follow up. Turns out the guy was spotted entering the room next door by house keeping straight after entering ours, he had what seemed to be a master key. Security came up to scan the lock to see what key had accessed our room but there seemed to be little concern over catching the guy rather than just 'disabling' his access. We were very concerned he could return later to our room knowing it was occupied and having already obtained one master key I was sure he could get another very easy. A brief description of the guy was taken but I offered to ID the guy on the security cameras but they were very reluctant to allow me to do so and didn't want to inform the police alas our efforts. I am not convinced this will be a one off so if you are staying in this lovely hotel, KEEP EVERYTHING IN THE SAFE!!!! if you leave it out it may go missing. Les mer
