The Dandy Hotel lived up to the good reviews. The staff is exceptional, and the buffet breakfast is amazing. It is just a few minutes' walk to the train station, and beautiful Da'an Park is just across the street. I have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime and the Dandy Daan Hotel has the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered! This hotel is awesome! Great breakfast buffet prepared by a chef each morning and free internet access.....I'm glad I stayed here.

Room was kind of small but it is clean and modern. Easy to get to public transportation and taxi. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Breakfast was simple and decent. Price is reasonable.

Clean, comfortable, spacious, neat, tidy, free WiFi, quite good buffet breakfast except the nearest train station is a 15mins walk. Overall : GOOD, i will be back. See ya!

We stayed for 11nights. THe room was small, very small . The bathroom size was actually fine, not too small. The location was good but a little far from the subway. Breakfast is good. There's only one elevator so the wait time is long. Staff was fine. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

A very bright hotel located across from Daan park. An easy bus ride to Tapei 101 and the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial, as well as other attractions in Taipei. Drainge smell in bath room. bath room window can not be closed. a bit noisy as the room is very closed to the naib road. otherwise, it is very good, modern design, minimalist in all services. the location will get better when the underground line is completed.

Dandy Daan branch was very clean and had a modern feel to it. Bus access is only a 2min walk away, but don't walk to the T station, like other reviewers say, 10-15min walk. Most of the walking delays are due to pedestrian walk cycles, could take up to 90 secs before you can cross 1 stretch of road and there's a lot of stretches. Take the bus to two […] possible T stations for only $15NT (50c U.S.), 3 stops away. Multiple buses share the same route towards the T station so you only wait a few mins. Taxis are plentiful around, $70NT once you get on, $5NT per tick, so you can pretty much get around for $100NT ($3.50 USD) The hotel provides you with a free breakfast each morning and the dining place looks like something out of an IKEA catalog. Selections change each morning and while it's not vast, it's pretty good for something that's free. (I really enjoyed their grapefruit juice). The lobby has a lounge area and provides you with a mac computer, tea/juice and different snacks each day. All the staff we have encountered during our stay have been very polite and attentive to our needs, so kudos to them and management. I believe there is wi-fi service in each floor, good enough signal to browse the web. There's also outlets in each room to plug a cat-5 cable in for internet. (FREE) The only major problem I had was either the hotel room door or the wall against the corridor, was too thin. People walking by with a normal tone conversations could be heard quite clearly. But you can't hear any of your neighbors adjacent to you so it had to be the above mentioned areas. Minor problem to others but not the wife and I, was the bathroom had no lock. The bathroom was also see through on the bottom 6 inches and the top 6 inches, with privacy glass in the middle. Add mirrors along the molding area and it's a bit awkward for friends or siblings of the opposite sex. Another minor problem is for rooms with windows. Buffet Breakfast served varies food & place for having breakfast was spacious & clean. Room was great with big TV , clean toilet with bathtub & strong flow of water. Only bad thing is hotel is located too far away from Daan MTR station. It's very tiring walking daily from station to hotel.

We stayed at the Dandy Daan hotel for 2 nights and loved every bit of our stay! We stayed in a Deluxe Room with a view (there is a fantastic view of Daan park from the deluxe rooms). We enjoyed morning walks in the Park. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was clean and very modern with plenty of power outlets and a Japanese style toilet. Hint: It's helpful to have an address written in Chinese from the front desk when using taxicabs. Also: the MRT (subway) is a walk away (all signs and maps in MRT are in English). Recommendation: Ask the hotel staff about the nearby famous restaurant: Din Tai Fung – Great Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings). Not the best of location as it took 15min to walk from the metro station to the hotel. But what you get for the price you pay is service at the very best. Friendly staff, wonderfully clean room. Breakfast was not that fantastic but trust me this hotel is worth all the price you are paying for.. Thumbs Up~

The staffs are very friendly, helpful and warm. The hotel is simple, but with class. Surrounding is warm and cozy. I like the free coffee in the lobby and their cakes and sandwiches. Over all, I would really recommend this hotel. It was a great choice for us to stay.

very satisfied with this boutique hotel, clean, chic and comfort. Even though construction in the front of the main street, but still conveniences to go around places. Friendly and courtesy staff including the housekeeping made our stay very pleasant.

I loved that they had an electric tea pot and tea cups in my room. The bed was really comfortable and the extra things like an full set of travel products (toothbrush, razer, comb..etc) was really cool. The breakfast had lots of variety. Lots of different foods both American, European and Taiwanese. A cool place to stay if your just getting to Taiwan. I […] think a lot of people stay here when they fly from HK for shopping weekends. This might just be a perfect hotel. Clean, modern, stylish, comfortable and no non-sense. The violin player in the breakfast room was a delightful touch from the owner who knows what matters to customers and what doesn't. This hotel is a hidden treasure, 10-15 minutes away from the mrt station & close to restaurants, good food & shopping. Free breakfast and internet so what more can you ask for. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is the noise coming out from bathroom pipes. The rooms were really nice and clean. The staff were extremely helpful. Everything was great except the distance to the train station. The closest station is about 15 mins walk away. But taxi is easily available via booking. The daily breakfast is pretty similar everyday but still okay if you are not picky. 1. The safe in the hotel room is tiny with a size of 1 foot by 1 foot, approximately. Also it's not bolted to anything so it could be removed easily (not safe at all). Might as well not having it. 2. There is no closet either. 3. The hotel staff is very courteous !! 4. The breakfast is good.

The hotel overall was good, nice and helpful staff, clean and comfortable. Just some comments about the interior design:- (1)The room I was staying was a twin room, the twin beds were too close. They should have left some spaces between the beds, otherwise it was no difference to a double bed. (2) There was only 1 control panel on 1 side of the bed, […] it was very inconvenient for the 2nd bed to go to switch on the lights in the dark. (3) I got a long desk, but it would be nice if they would have a mirror as a make-up desk. I found it incovenient to do my make up in the bathroom. (4)The basin was nice, but there was no room to put my belongings, it would be better if they had a shelf or a wider bench top. (5) The full side mirror was in the cabinet, it would be nice to have a wall mounted one, both ladies and gentlemen would like to check themselves before going out! (6) No natural sunlight in the room which makes the room very gloomy. The breakfast was good, overall for the price I paid was excellent! Will come back to stay next time! Les mer

From the hotel information, seems like the hotel is pretty close to the metro station and 101 tower, but actually there is a decent distance between the hotel to these two place, and everytime when we try to go to those see sights, we need to change to another metro line at taipei station, so I would say I will choose somewhere near the taipei station […] next time. Since this is the first time I went to Taipei, not so sure how other hotels are, this is just my opinion. Les mer

エリートツインに宿泊しました。部屋はとても綺麗で内装も素敵ですが、窓がとても小さいのでパークビュー指定がいいかも。朝食は種類も多く美味しいです。豆ジャンもあります。永康街が徒歩圏で良いですが、やはりMRTの駅が近くないのが不便かも。わたしはバスとタクシーを使ってました。いま工事中なので、完成したらかなりおすすめです。大安森林公園も気持ちいいです。日本語がベラベラな人は居なかったように感じます。みなさん挨拶は日本語でしてくださいますが。主に英語でやりとりしました。
