The Conscious hotel was a modern hotel with a environmental theme. The hotel is a couple kilometers away from the city center but the trams to the center stops right outside the hotel. The hotel is also close to the Vondelpark that is great for walking/running or relaxing. The hotel offers Parking. Its a bit less expensive than parking in the streets […] which is very expensive in Amsterdam. The hotel staff was very helpful. And there was a great brochure with sights and restaurants in our room. The rooms were nice but our room was a bit too warm and there was no adjustable air conditioning in our room. Did not complain as it was not too bad. But might be worse in extreme weather. There where some noise from the street but still possible to sleep. Breakfast was fairly good and ok value at 10EUR. Wi-Fi was free and required no password. Les mer

For meg er det viktigste at hotellet er rent og at betjeningen er hyggelig, og ble derfor veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Det er litt avstand fra sentrum hvis man velger å gå (tar ca 40 min) men tar man trikk er man bare 10 min unna :). Ingenting å klage på, fantastisk hotell, neste gang vi skal til Amsterdam velger vi denne uten tvil :)

Hotellet er veldig bra. Frokosten er kjedelig og lite grønt der. Hotellet er jo markedsført som et grønt hotell. Betjeningen ga veldig uoresis informasjon når vi spurte om saker ang byen.

The location was good and the hotel was in general ok, however when we arrived at the hotel the bedding was not clean, and when we complained we just got a new sett of bed linen and then we had to make the bed our self! This is what I call bad service. In addition the soap dispenser was empty and it was not refilled.

Hotel modern . . comfortable stay . . used their parking facilities . a bit expensive . . local tram to central Amsterdam at entrance . . enjoyed stay

A cool eco hotel, quiet n clean, just outside centre but on tram #1, great for walks in Vondel Park, brekkie expensive + missable, nice reception/bar.

Nice hotel, 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Friendly staff, calm street, no noise durung the night. Confortable shower and bed. I will definitively stay there again. The breakfast probably won't worth what's charged, given that there are several cafes and bakeries nearby. The second time I stayed at this hotel, and I really like it. Feels central, despite 15 minutes to the central of Amsterdam, easy to get there from the airport. Though they advertise with free wifi all over the hotel, it didn't work at all without me going down to the reception area. Although the hotel is not in the city centre, very convenient to get to from the airpot by public transport. (train + tram) and not too difficult either. The tram is just outside the front door and you get to the centre in about 10minutes. The room was onto a very quiet back yard. There is the famous Vondelpark just behind the hotel. The hotel is about half an hour or so walk from the centre but there is a tram stop right outside the hotel. Once trams stop running there are night buses available but it is a nice walk back if you fancy it. The hotel itself was clean, tidy & had friendly staff & free wifi. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very new decor & clean room and the size is acceptable. Price/Quality ratio is very high. Breakfast is very delicious. It is located right next to the tram station and 20 mins from Amsterdam Centraal station to there. Nearby you may find a restaurant called Pizza Bakker which serves excellent pizza!

with a tramstop outside the hotel its easy to get to where you want to....the hotel staff were really really helpful and the hotel is stylish,modern and clean

we stayed over valentines , staff were friendly but not in our faces, yes the room was small but hey iam a big guy and it didnt phase me, very cool. I would definitely stay again. very comfy bed, wink wink.

The hotel was in great location, tram 1 stopped right next to the hotel and it took about 15 minutes walk to the centre. Hotel room was better than we expected; beds were very soft, sheets were clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Staff was so nice, we felt really welcomed. The breakfast was also great, organic foods and a traditional dutch breakfast. […] I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Lovely hotel, nice staff, clean room, nice little bathroom. 6th floor with view, secure (locked main door after 12) hotel customers just swiped in, very handy tram service on front door which made it easy to get from airport (15min journey including one stop train) and into city centre (5-8mins depending on your stop) , nice kebab shop next door, lovely […] cafe bar across the road to the left which serves gorgeous sandwiches at lunch time, hotel bar also nice when you want a drink before bed....all round great stay. Great location in cool and trendy Overtoom. Extremely friendly staff and great looking hotel. Room was clean and tidy, however memory foam mattress wasn't particularly comfy. However, quiet night was had - no traffic noise in my room (nothing worse than having trams flying past the window). Would recommend to any friends heading over to Amsterdam […] . Les mer

Really loved this hotel! They have an awesome design concept and help you live green. Location is really close to the tram stop (easy access to main areas) but take a bit of time to discover which trams to take. The park nearby is lovely and worth a walk. The hotel is nicely situated within a short walk of several restaurants, and next to the tram that will take you to the centre. The proximity of the restaurants is a good thing as the hotel does not have one of it's own - though it does serve breakfast. The ethos of the Concious hotels is a reasonable one, but the relatively large ratio of twin to double […] rooms is disappointing. The lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room is also an annoyance. When the wi-fi works, it works well. There is no sign-in page, and VPN access is not blocked. Had a one-night stay for business. Not immediately next to a mainline train but along a tram so easy to reach. Very comfortable - great room and very friendly staff. No complaints at all - would easily return.

This hotel is a little far away from the main station. However, it is very easily accessible round the clock and well connected through the tram. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a lot of creative wordings and funny one liners everywhere. This hotel although a bit out from the center was easy to access with trams and nice walk taking in the park situated a block behind the hotel, this would not stop me using this hotel, staff very good, breakfasts very good, rooms very clean,10 out of 10 as it suited our needs.

When we arrived at the conscious hotel, we could not believe just how beautiful the hotel was. It is eco-friendly, however you would not know at first glance, until you realize things like the Christmas trees themselves will be heading back to the forest after Christmas! On our first night we had a drink at the bar and chatted to the very friendly and […] helpful staff members who gave us really good advice on what to see and do around Amsterdam. Usually if I stay in a hotel once, I would tend to use a different one the next time I go to the same location, however the next time we go to Amsterdam we will defiantly be checking back into the conscious hotel! Silly design of hotel. Fire door from lift into the hall on each floor, which automatically slams itself after its opened. This woke me up in the middle of the night during both nights of my stay (after a few pints taken..). Apparently in the name of the environment the shower goes cold 1 our of every 5 seconds which is really annoying. I have just stayed here for the second time in two months. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable and the location is great - the tram from Central Station stops right outside. The Vondelpark is just behind the hotel - great for a stroll through to get to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. There are several great restaurants […] on Overtoom, but it is also really quick and easy to get into the city centre by tram and not too far to walk either, if the weather is good. I have already recommended this hotel to several people and will definitely stay here again. Les mer

We knew the location was a bit out of the center, however, the hotel is right across from a tram stop so it was fine. We also knew the rooms were small so there were no surprises. The only fault I can recall was a less than clean bathroom ie. stray hairs in the sink, shower etc.

A very nice mid-range hotel. Breakfast was good and all organic (thougha little pricey) and the theme of integrating sustainability into the hotel in a non-intrusive way was done well.

I had a great stay at Conscious Hotel. The rooms are modern, very clean, and quiet. There is fast and free Wifi in the hotel and it is within walking distance of many great Amsterdam sights. Close to city centre, tram stop just outside the hotel. Tram took you to all the touristl areas, nice walk through the Vindelpark to the centre. Hotel staff very helpful, would stay there again if back in Amsterdam.

Convenient for all main areas and a short taxi or trams to the RAI. Much better value than the 5* but with all you need at 3* prices but with none of the normal 'tackiness' or 'dodginess' of the Amsterdam tripper hotels. Good breakfast which is cheaper if you pre-book on check in. Couple of excellent restaurants close by. Oslo 1 was particularly good. […] Free internet and very comfortable, even in the standard rooms. Thought i was getting a little luxury for what we were charged. Room was too small , no arm chair & you had to lie on the bed to see t.v . Balcony yes but no table or chair out there so not much use to anyone.Biggest mistake Hotel made was having two hotels with SAME name in CITY , i saw 3 couples await a taxi to take them to other hotel AND my husband […] was guided by our receptionest on our first day putting a ring around the wrong hotel on his map > unbelieveable, result was a 30 min walk in rain . Stayed for 1 night in the Conscious Hotel Vondelpark with my husband after cycling from Hoek Van Holland to Amsterdam. They had secure storage for our bikes (in their locked garage) and our room was gorgeous, the whole place super clean and the service very, very good. Best of all though was the hot, hot powerful shower! The organic buffet breakfast […] was excellent too - don't be put off by the fact it's 'continental', it still has hot eggs and sausages etc as an option, plus PLENTY of cold stuff! The bar was lovely and the staff gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation. We did get our room at a last minute discount, but I will definitely stay there again, even if I have to pay a little more. It's a little out of the centre, but this is no bad thing - it's quiet, and there is a tram stop literally right outside, which takes you into the city in 10 minutes! We didn't get a chance to wander through the Vondelpark, which is right round the corner, but we will next time, as it's supposed to be lovely. In short, highly recommended!! :) Les mer

Great welcome, all staff English speaking as everyone in Amsterdam seems to be. Rooms 612 and 613 have large balconies on the top floor. Breakfast a little expensive and repetitive (adequate). Trams stop right outside,5-10 minutes to centre, nice pub across street. If you arrive at the train station, jump on a No.1 tram,the ticket collector will tell […] you when to get off it costs 2-3 euros. The taxi costs 25 euros! Amsterdam a great City,plenty to see and do, the museums are a must! Watch out for the cyclists, there are thousands of them. Les mer

A nice hotel well located just outside the city centre. Tram stop outside the front door makes getting to both the airport and central Amsterdam a breeze. Hotel had a nice casual atmosphere. Rooms were small but the bathroom very big, comfy bed, all did what I needed it to.

This hotel is a little bit out of the center but the tram #1 runs right in front of the hotel and goes straight to the center of town. The hotel is very modern and extremely eco conscious, lots of info about how they saving energy, resources, etc. Very clean and the room was comfortable and quiet. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful […] and there is a nice breakfast buffet in the morning (extra charge). No air conditioning which could be a problem if it was hot but that was not the case for us. All in all, quite satisfied and we would stay here again. Les mer

The hotel was fine. Right next to a stop for Tram #1, and the end of Vondelpark that is furthest from the city center. The staff was quite pleasant and helpful. However, the breakfast was expensive for what was given.

The place felt hip and inviting. I appreciated all the little environmentally friendly things they did, like have soap pumps instead of bottles and low-flow faucets. Getting downtown with the tram was really easy and I liked being in a more residential part of the city, with the lovely Vondelpark nearby. I'd stay here again.

We loved this hotel, brand new modern and green. It was a 20 minute walk to the heart of Amsterdam, however, the tram was just outside and came frequently making access to the city simple. Vondelpark was right there and it was amazing. I would stay there again!!!

Very good standard, except the breakfast that was a bit tiny.

From the cute messages plastered all over the place in your room to the eco-friendly walls (they're made of recycled coffee cups) bring green is what the Hotel Conscious is all about. Our only gripe was that not every room has a/c and it got stuffy. Other than that, the rooms are typical Euro rooms (compact) and are pretty simple; flat screen tv, queen-size […] bed, small table w/chair, and 2 small nightstands. Staff is really friendly and the lobby lounge attracts a lot of action (mostly young ppl surfing the net on their laptops chilling). Across the street is a trendy little cafe with some decent eats for good prices (mostly sandwiches). Will def stay again :b Les mer

This hotel is wonderful! The decor is always interesting. We stayed in Room 226 of the B tower. We did not have control of the air conditioning but did not have the noise off the street since we were farther back. A fair trade off in my book. The breakfast was fantastic, as it should be for the price. Down the street, however, you can find an excellent […] bakery and little market that sells fruit. We did our laundry at the Magic Wash (?) and it cost about 9 Euros a load. That was the best we could find in the area. Vondelpark was beautiful! There were even free concerts on the weekends during almost the whole summer. The staff was very accommodating. They lent me a hair dryer for our entire visit. Very neat hip hotel, friendly staff. Would be nice if there was coffe making facilties in room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very large compared to other hotels we stayed in across europe. The tram stop was right out side the lobby doors. I will definitely stay here next time I go to Amsterdam.
