This property is dated and some of the fixtures are a littel worn but the staff was very friendly and it was clean despite the age. The location is very good if you are in the Concord area. The rooms are small but the beds and pillows were comfortable so for business travel when you aren't spending much time in the room anyway it is great.

definitely nothing to write home about, small rooms, no wireless internet but rather a 2 foot ethernet cord that connects to a wall in a corner, very disappointing. Cheap...

The Pleasant Hill Inn was in a great location; directly across the street from the bus stop which takes one right to the BART station. The room was clean if a bit small. The bed was adequate, the TV had a good selection of chanels. The managers were helpful and cordial. The only real disapointment was the pool. It was billed as a heated indoor pool. […] It was not heated and too cold to enjoy a swim at 7:00 pm. Still, for the price, I was not expecting the J. Willard Marriott mansion. The hotel was fine. The only concern I had was that I overheard someone checking in got the same rate as we did booking online. I was under the impression that this was a bargain?

For economy in the area this hotel is a good choice. The rooms are small, pleasant, and with basic amenities including free wifi. The breakfast offered is quite good although items can run out without refurbishment. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom that never went away. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel was in a good area and it suited our basic need. Our bathroom had a bit of a sewer smell to it, while the room itself seemed a bit musty. We tried airing it out by opening the window; it helped some. Our desk clerk, from arrival, seemed to be the only one working the desk. Ever. the hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. we enjoyed staying there and would stay again. the hotel manager went out of his way to help us with some info on the computer. we appriciated it so much.

Nice location, clean, in good repair. Room totally sucked: very small, no lamps (lights are ALL in the ceiling), no reading chair.

I wouldn't have any complaints if the tv had worked or breakfast would have been ready at 630 like posted. We had to get on the road early. Came down at 7am for breakfast and there wasn't a crew person in sight. Other then that the room was nice. Just had renovations and you could tell. It was a comfortable stay and easy location. For the price we paid it was sufficient for our needs. Breakfast was included which consisted of cereal, milk, hard boiled eggs, muffins,toast, waffles (batter supplied to make your own) and juice,coffee. Plenty for what we needed. Sad place. Arrived at the desk to find a sign saying "back in a few minutes." Almost an hour later we left, leaving a note "...what does "back in a FEW minutes mean?" We returned after going out to eat, and the young attendant made little effort to acknowledge or apologize for what had just happened, even when I asked him if he'd read my note. The […] TV did not work, but worse, the AC did not work. He came up to the room and allegedly "fixed" it, but the AC ceased a few minutes after he left. He came back up and gave us another room, a much smaller one. The AC in this worked somewhat but ceased during the night. Don't patronize this place. Les mer

There was rarely anyone at the front desk. I couldn't get into my room on the third day of a 4-night stay and then had to ring the desk bell several times to get anyone to come out. Their free breakfast was a joke. We went down at 8:00 for a breakfast that ran until 9:30. The tables were filthy, there was only one cup of waffle batter, nothing in what […] looked like a warming tray (and there hadn't been anything in it). It was pathetic. I read that the rooms were small, but since it was only going to be I decided that would be okay. It was the dirty part I wasn't too happy with. My room was fairly clean. The toilet paper holders hadn't been cleaned for awhile. The towels were not the nicest. The hallway in front of my room was dirty as were the chairs in the lobby. We got in pretty late (around 1am) but didn't have any trouble checking in. The front desk lady was nice enough. The room was decently clean (the bed/bathroom were fine), but it could probably use a good deep cleaning. There were some old stains on the rug and the curtains had some stuff stuck on them on the inside. The hotel had some basics for a continental […] breakfast (toast, bagels) and a waffle maker, which was nice. No frills really, but for a place just to crash for the night, it wasn't really necessary. Overall a place i'd recommend if you're just passing through. Les mer

Guest clerk was friendly and very efficient. The only suggestions I would have are that they put in better exhaust fans in the bathrooms and make wallpaper repairs where necessary. Bed was comfortable, everything clean. Room is on the smaller side but for the price and only staying one night, everything was great!

The mnager (owner?) was extremely helpful.Unfortunately, he had at lot to be helpful for. The wi-fi was down when we arrived, the tv didn't work, the A/C stoppped working, ad infinitum. It was close to BART and other attractions which made up in part for the poor condition.

Good hotel; convenient location, seemed reasonably safe. Easy to get to Main Street in Walnut Creek, which connects directly to Contra Costa Blvd.

We were not comfortable nor did we feel there was effort toward customer satisfaction. The desk manager was polite but inflexible and the lobby did not smell clean although our room seemed to be clean. There is a sign on the lobby counter warning that aggressive behavior and violence is not permitted which im my considerable travels I have never seen […] yet the desk manager insisted was displayed as being required by law. Pleasant Hill Inn, Pleasant Hill, CA. Rooms are very, very small. Bathroom the same. Cooking smells were present the day we checked in. However we found the room adequate and the price reasonable. Everyone was pleasant.

Had requested a room away from traffic which did not happen (we were on Contra Costa Blvd. instead of at back of hotel.) Being an older hotel could hear people coming and going but it was not overly noisy into the wee small hours. Price was right for the night.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was professional and the room was cozy albeit small but we are only staying for the night, so how much room do you need for that? If we are in the area again we would stay here again.

Although there is a bit of construction taking place, this boutique-type hotel was quiet and comfortable. The front desk could not have been more pleasant or helpful, and the property was situated perfectly among shopping, restaurants and freeway access. Small room for the money. The bathroom was the best part of staying there--spacious, clean, good working shower, nice towels. The room was so small, two people sharing it for any length of time would not be comfortable.

Overall the place was nice, but the room was big enough for the bed and dresser/desk. If was hard to maneuver around with just too people. Good for a quick overnight but definitely not a weekend or long term stay.
