CitizenM i Glasgow er et konsept-hotel utenom det vanlige. Du sjekker inn selv i et resepsjonsområde hvor unge mennesker står, sitter eller ligger i diverse stoler og sofaer. Rommet er lite, men hva trenger man mer enn en god seng, deilige håndklær og en dusj hvor lyset skifter mellom blått, lilla, grønt og rødt? Flatskjerm, høyttaler/lader til I-phonen […] er også et pluss. frokosten er basert på selvbetjening i baren. Enkelt, men bra. hotellet har god og senteal beliggenhet rett ved Glasgows hovedgate og busstasjonen Buchanan. Dette er hotellet for oss som er lei av nøytrale kjedehoteller og glad i design og farger. Les mer

Citizen M er et moderne hotell til en rimelig pris. Rommene er ganske små, men stor og god seng, en godt utvalg gratis filmer, og meget sentral beliggenhet. Badet er stilig, men gir ikke mye rom for privalliv, passer nok best for par ;-)

Koselig hotell i Glasgow med en god beliggenhet. Modern hotell hvor innsjekking/utsjekking er selvbetjent. God plass på lobby med bar, sofa og datatilgang. Rommene er små i areal, men er genialt konstruert hvorav det ikke føles smått. Rommene er fjernstyrt av fjernkontrollen som ikke bare styrer TV, men også temperatur og belysning.

The hotel is fantastic. The staff were chatty and helpful from start to finish. The rooms were excellent with comfy beds and love the room controls. The room was spotless. Perfectly placed for our gig and shopping.

Myself and my partner were very impressed with the hotel, the room we stayed in was gorgeous and very clean. The staff that served us at the bar were very welcoming and friendly, also the help we had checking in was very good. This was out first time at the hotel and we would definitely stay again. Loved it but missed having tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel was very clean and well designed and the staff were polite and helpful. We had a problem on arrival though, when entering the hotel on the ground floor, there was no signs or staff telling you where to go. When a resident told us where to go to sign in, again there was no indication where to go when you got to that floor. After looking about […] a girl who looked like she was standing at an internet cafe area, told us this was where you booked yourself into the hotel. The other issue we had was going to the toilet in the middle of the room in a glass goldfish bowl, not the best idea in the world, no matter how trendy, especially in the middle of the night and you need to put lights on and the 4 spot lights above the bed blind whomever is still laying there. If they can cure the entry problem with signs though, a good hotel Oh! the first hotel I have stayed in since the 70s that did not have any coffee making equipment. Les mer

very clean and functional, my 21 year old daughter would love it! But i prefer a bit more tradition!!

I have stayed at Citizen M at least 10 times, and loved it. Raved about it in fact. This time - no. The shower room is to be savoured and enjoyed. But as soon as I put my nose in there and sniffed it, I was really hacked off. The smell of stale smoke really caught me. The brown marks on the floor may have been caused by something else but I suspect […] some lazy disgusting slob stubbed their cigarettes out there. I complained and asked that room be cleaned. I got back very late. Someone had been in, the bin was empty but the smell remained, I suffered it another night, foolish i know but I hoped that someone would turn up and deep clean it, It put me off. I am back in Glasgow again this week for another 3 nights. I booked a different hotel. Les mer

Stayed at this hotel for one night and although the room is clean, and the bed = heaven i really think any more than one night would of had me feeling very claustrophobic as the room is small. However i can not fault it any other way. the hotel is definately quirky with the mood pad in the room which i loved created a very relaxing atmosphere with the […] changing lights once i figured it out and managed to get the green strobe light off that was beaming out of the shower. i would stay again but for no more than 1 or 2 nights. Well worth staying here if you get a decent price. The hotel is clean, modern and close to shops, restaurants, bars. The rooms are quite small but comfortable. 5 minute walk to the nearest parking.

The hotel itself is fantastic, very modern like being in a space pod. The recommended car park which are all a least a 10 minute walk through glasgow city centre, cost £25 for a 10 hour stay, so not ideal, i was not offered any discount for parking on check out so not sure if this is available.

Stayed for one night in March and thoroughly enjoyed this quirky hotel. Self-check in didn't work but the helpful staff soon had us checked in and up to the room. They are not big, but big enough. The bed is the full width of the room and is very comfortable with big pillows and duvet, all in pristine white. The remote handset that operated everything […] was a nice gimmick and let you work the venetian and roller blinds, mood lighting, air-con and TV - all operated fine. Shower pod was fun and the deluge shower was refreshing the morning after the night before. Wash hand basin was outside the toilet and very small but not a problem. The hanging space would just about take 2 t-shirts although there was a lot of space in the under-bed drawers. There was a fire alarm and evacuation when we arrived back at the hotel after our night out and we had to stand outside with all the other residents for a few minutes. The hotel provided free drinks for everyone by way of compensation. A nice touch and way more than they were obliged to provide. I'd stay again, and would recommend it. Not sure i'd suggest making it a base for a 2 week stay, but short breaks are perfect here. Great location for visiting the city but it can get a little noisy late at night so perhaps best to ask for a courtyard facing room. Les mer

Good Location and v modern rooms. Interesting concept and deco.

This is a brillant hotel - loads of facilities. The zone on the first floor with free IT use is great. Try for a top floor room for a view of the city.

Our 3rd stay in this fab hotel. The central location handy for train stations, bus station, shops restaurants, royal concert hall etc. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with a huge comfy bed, great shower and are always very clean. They may lack in hanging space for some people but for us not a problem. Check in and out was very quick and easy, […] the staff on duty helpful and friendly as always.The bar area is a delight serving a range of snacks and bar food, didn't have the cooked breakfast, but croissants were fresh and tasty. The cocktails are fantastic! A really good budget hotel providing comfort and service way above the competition, we'll be back!! Les mer

This hotel appeals to everyone. The young trendies love the lobbie, fabulous arty layout and complimentary Macs. The older ones, like me, love the comfort of that decadently large bed, the shower that looks like something out of Sleepers and the gizmos. Ok I would like a kettle in my room, that would be the icing on the cake, and lose the plastic cutlery! But […] all in all my favourite hotel in Glasgow. Les mer

Really good stay in citizenM hotel but one word of warning, don't try to check in early! We arrived around 11.30 presuming our room would not be ready but we could leave our bags until we could check in. We were advised that check in is 2pm & there was no facility to leave baggage (hard to believe given the use of space in the hotel). We were also advised […] our room was ready & we could access it for a fee, (early check in charge), this on top of the fee they charged for use of the credit card (debit or credit card were the paying option, no cash option). All in all good hotel, good location but beware of hidden charges! Les mer

This funky hotel is great for single travellers on short trips.The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and rooms are clean and neat, however they're not very big and I would prefer a little more space if I were there for more than 2 nights, and a little more privacy than is offered by the shower/toilet pod, if I were staying with my husband!

Gone is the traditional reception desk, gone is the formal pretence of some hotels, In is Chic modern styling with really helpful staff to guide you through this pleasent and rewarding experience, a definate recommend.

This hotel was amazing. I loved all aspects of it, the cool design, the wonderful comfy bed, the amazing room with the remote control that operated everything and free wifi and movies.

Had a very comfortable stay in CitizenM hotel. The room was compact but had every amenity apart from coffee and tea facilities which I missed. Very convenient and enjoyed our stay very much. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

Close to everything. Designed totally in contemporary style. Very comfortable huge beds. All the staff we encountered we're really very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

I was staying in Glasgow on business and this hotel is absolutely perfect for this. The room is compact however it ticks all the boxes you require, with a fantastic shower.

CitizenM is as trendy as a hotel can get - for the money. At its rate it's a steal compared to other hotels - you get a super stylish lobby (pardon me, living room area!), cool rooms and a ton of free on-demand movies. The lights in your room can be set to different colours according to your mood and the blackout blinds ensure a peaceful rest no matter […] what time of day or night. Everything in your room is controlled through a single remote from the tv to the blinds and the lights. Now for the drawbacks - the rooms are not exactly large. They're just enough for two people with barely any luggage at all. If you both need to do some work, you're a bit stuffed. The toilet/shower facilities are basically inside your bedroom - although encased in a plexi-glass enclosure. The bathroom door doesn't lock. Not great if you like a little privacy when in the toilet. But overall, it's a quality hotel well worth staying at - especially when you could easily be paying these prices at a shabby old holiday inn. Definitely worth checking in. Les mer

I don't think myself and my Mum are the standard clientele for this hotel given I'm over 35 and my Mum is a 65.. We were surprised with the layout and the size of the room but got into it and really enjoyed our stay. Good location, staff very nice and helpful. I'd definitely recommend. Only drawback for me was the lack of parking and it was almost […] a 10 minute walk from our car park.. But I would go back. Les mer

This is a new and modern Hotel. It is in the city centre and many shops and places to eat near by. The hotel was very nice, clean and stylish. The bed and showers were perfect. Free internet and movies made it even better. A great place to go for a great time in Glasgow.

The CitizenM in Glasgow is a must visit Hotel. Different to your usual style of hotel, the facilities were great, staff helpful and the beds are to die for

Very hip hotel - more suited to the under 25 set or business people rather than families. Small rooms (almost "pod" like), but not unusually so for Europe. Parking is a few blocks away and not very convenient. However, hotel very clean; good assortment of dishes fro breakfast. Staff very helpful. Good position in the city. Will stay there again.

Very convenient for bus station and also within walking distance of Merchant City. Computerised check-in but staff instantly available for any problems. Room terrific - I wanted to take the bed and the shower home with me. Even technophobe husband was impressed!! One minus was hanging space for clothes, but only staying for one night so no problem

Really liked the concept - it's not your usual hotel, more like an oversized "flashpackers" for grownups. Will be back for another weekend in Glasgow

Very funky hotel, but fabulous none the less. Stayed several times and always clean, comfy and worth every penny. Bar area is great, if you want, or just hide away in your room with the free movies - recent ones as well.

Very pleased. We enjoyed the modern design features of the hotel lounge area and of the bedroom. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Free wi-fi and use of Apple Macs was an impressive facility to include. Could have done with more hanging space in the bedroom

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and very comfortable rooms. Loved the computerisation - everything controlled from a zapper.

Loved the design of the rooms - they're funky, relatively practical (though if you're sharing the room, the proximity of the loo to the other occupant might take a bit of practiced ignoring), but very compact. The bed was very comfortable, and the blackout blinds did their job well, but you might want earplugs to block out the late night revellers that […] wander past outside. The neighbourhood is pretty shabby - just north of Sauchiehall Street, which has descended into a Pound-shop dump since I lived in Glasgow 20 years ago. The money has moved to Buchanan Galleries etc, and the CitizenM is pretty handy for a walk there, and Merchant City is 15 minutes away, Our room was front-facing on the 2nd floor, so maybe exterior noise was a bit more obvious, however if all you want from a hotel is a decent place to spend one night, you could do worse. This hotel was wonderful. The service and people working there were amazing. The location was convenient to all of the town of Glasgow. High technology in each room. Rooms are small but there are nice meeting group areas on the main floor.

A comfortable, clean, but small room in a good location for touring Glasgow. Pretty high-tech in terms of lights etc. so it helps if you're comfortable with/enjoy that stuff. Be aware, though, that you don't have a concierge service.
