Pent hotel, med koselig selvbetjeningsbar og deilig bakhage. Tungvint at badet ikke hadde vask/speil. Den var plassert i gangen ved døren. Vedlig bra beliggenhet i parallellgaten til "fashion district".

Godt valg av hotell. Veldig god beliggenhet. Sentralt, men i stille og rolig nabolag, like ved de store museene. Gangavstand til det medte, 2 trikkestopp max til alt. Dyrt, men det er alle sentralt beliggende hoteller i Amsterdam. Fint, stilfullt, komfortabelt. Svært gode senger, original dekor. Vi oppgraderte til executive deluxe (beste rommet), og […] fikk da et større rom med lenestoler og god plass. Fint bad. Frokosten er dyr (her som de fleste andre hoteller), vi prøvde den ikke. Utallige bedre tilbud rundt hver hjørne. Pluss for nespressomaskin på rommet og boblebadekar på de dyrere romtypene. Det eneste minuset var renholdet - kunne vært bedre på noen områder, særlig boblekaret.... Ikke lekkert når det ble slått på.... Vil alt i alt anbefale dette hotellet! Les mer

Oppholdet var bra, bortsett fra at det luktet ikke spesielt godt fra badekaret (boblebad), selv om det så rent ut. Sengen var noe hard.

The most fantastic beds we've ever experienced during all our travels! Fantastic personell at the reception. There is absoloutly no reason not to recomend this hotell. It's my new permanent place to stay when staying in Amsterdam!!

Comfortable stay at JL76, Only thing negative was that our deluxe executive room was nowhere near the 30 square meters as stated by the hotel's home page.

Vi hadde et veldig bra opphold på hotellet. Veldig reint og fint. Hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening. Passelig avstand fra alt. Ligger ikke midt i sentrum, noe som gjorde at det ikke var så bråkete, men likevel ikke så langt i fra at du ikke kunne gå dit. Det eneste som gjør at det ikke scorer full pott hos oss, var at vi fikk et rom rett under restauranten, […] noe som gjorde at vi måtte ligge å høre på når de høye hælene til servitøren traff gulvet. Samt at rett utenfor vinduet var en liftheis, som også bråkte noe voldsomt. Likevel, vi fikk det siste ledige rommet der, ikke rart at de valgte å nedprioritere nettopp det. My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for only a few hours (had to make a quick booking due to an inconvenience at another hotel). The room we received was the Family Room, and it was huge! King Size bed, which was incredibly comfortable, and the washroom even had a television in it. We first arrived and were put in a twin room (two single beds pushed together), but after speaking to the front desk they were able to move us to a proper 'double' room. Decor is nice, good lighting - loved the Jacuzzi bath, and it's in a really nice part of Amsterdam - particularly if you like high end shopping (there are all the designer shops in […] the next street and a diamond museum just around the corner). Good transport links - a bus to the airport leaves from near the hotel. Super comfy beds. Only downsides were that the aircon (or at least that's what I think it was- could have been other people's showers) was rather noisy. That, and instead of a 'Do not Disturb' sign, they offer a 'Please clean my room between 9am and 5pm', which, if you want to lie in a bit, isn't very helpful! Les mer

Overall very good. The hotel was a bit further away from the office than I had anticipated, but that's not something to rate it on! Not many restaurants in the close vicinity though. However overall very clean, reception friendly and would recommend.

This is a very stylish hotel, but sometimes style has been given preference over practicality, e.g the extremely wide and shallow handbasin is not handy for wet shavers! The light over the basin was so poor that only half of one's face was lit. We found it strange to have to pay for wi-fi when so many cafes offer it for the price of a cup of coffee. Fully lived up to the description on the Expedia site. The room was modern, compact but extremely well designed, we stayed in an executive room. Situated in the beautiful museum quarter, this charming hotel is away from the hustle and bustle but the great location means that you're around 20 mins walk from Dam Square. Hotel was very clean although having the sink outside of the bathroom was a bit odd but added to the quirkiness of the hotel. We had a great stay. Excellent location for the Van Gogh and Rijks Museums (1-2 blocks) with Metro stops at each museum location. The rooms were pretty good size with plenty of closet and storage space. The rooms are very nice quality and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the location is very close to Vondel park and some nice shopping streets. I will definitely stay there again!

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely hotel for three days in April 2012. We wanted a quiet location close to the art museums with convenient access to a boat tour and trams. We were also close to a major pick-up point for our tour to the K. Gardens as well as fabulous shopping. The room was comfy, tastefully decorated and very clean. We are both […] tall but a shorter person might have difficulty getting into the deep tub for a bath or shower. I'm sure the hotel has a step for you should you need it!!? We chose this hotel because of its location and the fact that it had a restaurant. It was situated in a very pleasant residential area within five minutes' walk of the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmueum, Vondelpark, the Concertgebouw and trams. The restaurant had a very limited menu, but as we had arrived at about 7.30 p.m. wanting a light meal, it suited […] us very well. Our standard room on the top floor was small, but had everything we needed. The tiny bathroom consisted of a shower and toilet, with a sink and vanity area in the room itself. This rather unusual arrangement had advantages, not least because we did not have to compete for the bathroom! The decor of the room and hotel was ultra-modern, but stylish. Members of staff were very helpful, and the hotel was ideal for a short break in Amsterdam for "culture vultures". The cyclists in Amsterdam don't wear crash helmets, but the "doggies in the window" at JL No. 76 do! Les mer

The hotel is a small, modern hotel in the Museum district of the city which is leafy and quiet. We were warmly greeted, before being allocated our room on the 3rd floor right next to the lift which concerned me, especially because we had asked for the nicest of rooms for our anniversary weekend. The room was on the small side (this was expected as […] other reviews had informed us of this) but modern, comfortable and overall very clean with just a few minor exceptions. The worst part was the design of the entrance corridor which both the wardrobe and shower, not bathroom, opened onto which caused a traffic jam on occasions! Really, really great location. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. I love the idea of an adult only hotel, it's great to meet wonderful travelers over a glass of wine in the chaos free lobby. The rooms are well equipped with iPod docking, flat screen TV, DVD player, and Nespresso machine!

Free DVDs, Staff always helpful, amenities were awesome. Was afraid that we wouldn't leave the bathroom with the jetted tub and TV in there Only drawback was parking. Very Expensive and had to keep getting daily passes. Public Transportation stops within a block from hotel.

Great little hotel in a quiet non-touristic area, however it's close to all the attractions if you are looking for that. Was here for business. Room was great eventhough at the front of the hotel I could sleep with the window open without being woken up by the usual Amsterdam noise. We spent three very enjoyable nights at Hotel JL no76. Room on 4th floor was clean, modern and had all the comforts we needed, particularly liked the nespresso machine, jacuzzi bath and super comfy bed and pillows. Only slight problem was location, although the hotel […] is in a nice, quiet area of town there was still quite a walk to the main restaurants/buzz of the city although tram is nearby and on reflection we probably would have preferred to stay on one of the pretty canals in the western area of the city which was our favourite area. The hotel is situated in an upmarket residential area, within easy walking distance of several areas of interest, many of the museums, a multitude of restaurants and the 'designer' shopping area. Transport is within easy reach with tram stops for different lines at either end of the street. We arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon to be told we had been […] allocated an executive room in the basement. We asked if there was any chance of a move to an upper floor but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. Having read some of the other reviews, we were somewhat concerned that it would be noisy in the basement, however, the only thing we actually found to be a slight downside was the subterranean style windows which, being the middle of a particularly grey winter spell, did not allow a huge amount of natural light into the room. On our way back out of the hotel later that afternoon, we asked if there was any chance of a move to another room the following night and the extremely helpful young chap behind the desk quickly obliged in allocating us a room on the top floor for the following evening. The move went without hitch and the new room had a huge panoramic window spanning the whole width affording us great views across the rooftops of the city. Both rooms were tastefully decorated and as some reviews have mentioned, the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathrooms (exec rooms) were modern with jacuzzi baths, rain shower, and television! We did not make use of the honesty bar facilities nor did we take breakfast as we preferred to try out some of the many eateries and bars around the nearby canals. If you would like to be in a great location in Amsterdam, in a new hotel in a picturesque place, stay at this hotel! We didn't plan it, but we were in the heart of the Museum District, literally one block from the Van Gogh Museum. The other direction, we could walk ten minutes to Leidesplein, where we could shop and eat, or just two minutes to a tram […] stop that goes through the middle of town to Central Station. What a find. THis was our first visit to Amsterdam and I'm delighted we picked to stay here. Jan Luijkenstraat is a quiet little side street but perfectly located for whatever you may require - one road over and you're on the Amsterdam equivalent of 5th Avenue: Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Tumi, Hugo Boss, Bulgari (ouch!!) or go one road the other way and the […] Van Gogh, Bols and Diamond museums are within 100 meters! At the end of the road is a tram stop that will take you up into the centre and all the way to the main station or it's just a short walk to the Heineken Experience and a host of other touristy things. The hotel itself is small (typical for Amsterdam) but quiet and very well appointed. The honesty bar is a nice touch and free Wi-Fi was a Godsend for planning the next day's excursion. I would definitely recommend the JL 76 to anybody going to Amsterdam. Les mer

I was pleasantly surprised to find a hotel on Expedia priced so well - Amsterdam hotels, especially for short stays, can be relatively expensive. Location so close to the Rijksmuseum and the van Gogh Museum, and within a lovely walk's distance to the center, was another selling point. The hotel itself did not disappoint at all.
