Best Western Plus Maldron Hotel - Cardiff

flott hotell,men tok litt tid til å varme rommet etter ankomst., Betalte for frokost første dagen men oppdaget at det var ingen vanlig pålegg som ost , kjøttpålegg, eller kokte egg.Det var kun typisk engelsk frokost og litt kornflakes produkter.Det er kanskje greit for engelskmenn , men litt overraskende for oss som kommer fra utlandet.

Fint og velholdt hotell.Det var kaldt på rommet når vi kom.Fikk opp varmen etter hvert,men på badet var det kaldt hele helgen vi bodde der.Hyggelig betjening og godt renhold hver dag.Hotellet lå rett attmed buss-stasjonen og jernbanestasjonen.

Very friendly, helpful staff, anxious to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Excellent facilities but we didn't use the bar, pool or spa. We did stay in for breakfast (book in advance when you arrive if you want it as it costs more on the day). Plenty of choice (including lovely fresh fruit). My room was noisy, on the side next to the train tracks. Trains coming through every couple of hours. The front desk staff were extremely accomodating and they found me an alternative room for the remainder of my stay which was quiet. Hotel new, rooms well appointed and friendly bar staff. Convenient to the bus and train stations. I come into town for […] University classes several times a year and I have begun staying here each time. stay was great, staff very helpful & friendly.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and it was in an excellent location. it was very easy to walk to the train station as well as restaurants and entertainment. The only problem I had was there was no lotion bottle provided nor a shower cap. The body wash\ shampoo and hand soap were built into the wall so there wasn't an opportunity to take the remainder […] with you. Most importantly the toilet roll paper was quite thin and abrasive. Excellent value for money. Two minutes walk from train station and easy to find. Close to shops and to the Motorpoint Arena which is great if coming by train no taxi's required at all. Breakfast was hot and fresh with a good choice. I didnt see any vegetarian sausages but you could order different types of eggs on request . The Hotel is very conveniently located, pretty close to the Train Station and walkable distance to all the nearby attractions - Cardiff Castle, Cardiff bay etc. Comfortable to stay and niace amicable staff who greet you with a smile always. Great hotel, 2 mins walk from the station, staff were lovely and room well decorated and clean. The bar was a bit expensive as was the breakfast, so we opted to eat at the Wetherspoons opposite.Every room has a very large picture window which means you hear all the noise outside, not so bad if you are the one making the noise , disturbing was the large […] crack all the way around the outside wall !!!!, after 9pm there are security staff at the main entrance asking your room number and to see your pass key, the first night this was very intimidating as the security guy was shouting rooms number across to reception to check, different guy on the second night who was a bit more people friendly , all in all a nice place to stay, but eat elsewhere and dont forget your pass key if you go out . Excellent, modern hotel located close to city centre, Millennium Stadium and train station. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great central location close to train station, shopping centre, clubs, bars and a short walk from the motor point arena! Definitely recommend!

This is the best hotel with the rate we paid several months in advance due to the busy Six Nations matches period. Free internet is the most convenient feature while traveling. They even let us use the internet after we checked out and waited for the train right next door. It's also not noisy being near a train station. Great location, Price were resionable and good view of the City. Traveled by car and return by Train and all types transport to hotel are within walking distance which made it a great place to stay when visiting Cardiff and Cardiff Bay.

You can see this hotel from the train station! It was a very quick walk with luggage from the train to station to Maldron. Easy walk to restaurants and Pubs. Cardiff castle short walk at the end of street. Walking distance to excellent shopping.

Maldron is in a very convenient position next to the Central Train Station, but it isn't noisy. A pay to park place is nearby. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It has free internet in the room as standard so it's much better than most hotel with charge or Wi Fi in public area. It also has free safe to use. The room is comfortable with plenty of […] working space. The bathroom has a too-small sink for face washing but otherwise very clean. The cloth hanging space is small for winter clothes, especially almost half of it is shared with the safe at the bottom and the tray for mugs, glasses and the electrical jug for boiling water on top of the safe. In summary we enjoyed our stay at Maldron Cardiff City Center tremendiously and would recommend strongly to anyone who wants to visit Cardiff. Les mer

Really liked this hotel. The only thing I did'nt realise was I could of booked it much cheaper on the hotel's website as they were doing a 3 nights for the price of 2 deal. Very clean, contemporary design. Very good breakfast selection Would recommend

the location is just 2 minutes walk from cardiff train station. the room is clean and although located near the train station you can hardly hear the noise from the train. the staff were friendly and honest. my friend left her iphone charger in our room after we checked out and when we came back to look for it a few hours after, they handed it back […] to us with a smile. my friend is planning of booking two rooms this april. Great friendly reception when we arrived. Close to the railway station, bars, shopping etc. Bar area had a great atmosphere and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Enjoyed my stay here, staff were very pleasent and welcoming! Its in the perfect destination if you want to go out shopping, out for a meal or even clubbing as everything was no more than a 10 minute walk away.

Good location for the station and the shopping area.Newly built,under a year old, so everywhere was clean and welcoming. I arrived after a four hour journey on a cold train, longing for a warm room and a cup of tea. I just spent a week here, having just moved to Cardiff for work, and unfortunately had my rucksack stolen on the way. The staff were incredibly helpful, calming, and always friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and very conveniently located. No complaints!

I loved staying at the Maldron. The location was ideal for the city, and the room was not noisy at all. Fantastic view from our window. Very friendly staff. Our room and ensuite were spotless. Would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

I found the hotel was of good standard and ideally located for the event we attended. The only critisism would be there was no hotel carpark facility and parking was across the road and quite costly, on the plus side the hotel did offer a small discount for parking. The hotel offered a special offer on evening meals and this was a high quality three […] corse menu. A great hotel with excellent food. However what spoiled it somewhat was there were 3 of us sharing a room. My husband me, and his sister. Yet we had 2 cups towels pillows etc. Extra were brought up on request but staff did not send an extra pillow as requested. It is strange to not cater for 3 people when it is obvious 3 are staying there.

We had to switch hotels for transportation reasons, and the hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's right across from the rail and has a beautiful view of Cardiff. The staff was very helpful when we asked about night life, and the location is very central to fun and travel.

have stayed here a few times. Great city centre hotel. Incredibly friendly staff with excellent customer focus. It is right next to the train station though you wouldn't know as the sound proofing is good. The first two day of our stay as in Room 715, The room has heating (probably the heating control is not working) but the staff said it's working. The room was very cold day and night. We then requested to change to Room 718 and it made a whole lot of difference, The new room was significant warmer and the air-cond/heating control was working fine.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is about a three minute walk from the central rail station. The location of the hotel was great, we were by the city center but just far enough away that the noise from the bars at night didn't bother us at night. I would stay here again and plan to recommend this hotel to people.

We had a great 2 night stay in the Maldron during December. My Mum, Sister and I, visited Cardiff for a 2 day Christmas Shopping trip. The Maldron was excellently located just a few minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants. Excellent, comfortable stay. It is one of the best hotel I have stayed, very clean and the hotel staff are friendly. It is conveniently situated in city centre. Only problem is no car park and no place allocated for loading and unloading luggage.
