Fint hotell med sentral beliggenhet. Stort rom (superior) moderne innredet. Hyggelig betjening. Bor gjerne her igjen. Eneste minus var at det ikke er fri trådløs internett. Men man kan kjøpe tilgang.

Downtown Guest House ligger i en sidegate til Rossioplassen, vis a vis en av inngangene til Cafe Nicola. Gaten er stengt for trafikk og det er stille og rolig på rommet. Det er også veldig rent på hotellet, og de ansatte er imøtekommende og hyggelige. De ansatte hadde ingen problemer med å kommunisere på engelsk. Hotellet er enkelt og sentralt og perfekt om du vil ha et sted å sove og dusje for deretter å utforske Lisboa.

Vurderingen må sees i sammemheng med at vi bodde i en leilighet de betegner som penthouse og ligger i 5. etg. Heisen går bare til 4. Det tilbydes ikke frukost eller andre måltider, men det er et utall av restauranter like i nærheten. Vi trivdes veldig godt og kommer gjerne igjen Betjeningen er hjelpsom og hyggelig.
"Sentralt og utrolig hyggelig service"
Hotellet er rimelig og ligger sentralt til i Baixa. Har sjelden opplevd mer hjelpsom og hyggelig betjening. Spesielt gjaldt dette de som sto i resepsjonen. Et lite minus for noe støy fra gågate (høye rop høres) men dette er tross alt midt i en storby. God valuta for pengene og artig dekorasjon. Tar mer enn gjerne dette hotellet neste gang.

Veldig spennende hotell midt i Baixa-distriktet (turistfella). Velutstyrte leiligheter (for to personer i hvert fall), veldig hyggelig og serviceminded betjening, og prisen helt latterlig - billig. Her skal jeg bo neste gang jeg overnatter i Lisboa - hvis det er plass, da. Riktignok ingen restaurant eller bar, og følgelig heller ingen frokost. Men kjøp […] mat på en butikk i nærheten, og tilbered den i leiligheten. Eller gå ut og spis på en av de mange stedene rett rundt hjørnet. Kan anbefales på det varmeste. Les mer

Nyrenovert med spesiell kunstnerisk utforming. Rent og pent. Utmerket utgangspunkt for shopping og turer. Ingen frokost, men mange frokosrestauranter i umiddelbar nærhet. Kjøleskap på rommet kan være bra for noen.

We, 4 adults, had a fantastic stay at Lisbon Short Stay Apartments Baixa in April 2012. The hotet was located close to the impotant sights in a safe neighboorhood. The room was spacious and had an appealing design and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

The location of this hotel is ideal for enjoying Lisbon. It's very centrally situated in easy walking distance to many popular sites. The staff is incredibly thoughtful and friendly. "Excellent stay in Lisbon"
We stayed at 158 Lisbon Short Stay Hotels for five nights and we can honestly say we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay at during our short spring holiday. We had seen many positive reviews at many internet sites and this hotel really lives up to all praises. Location is perfect, best in Lisbon if you would like to have everything (food, shops, […] transports) you need a few steps away in any direction. The staff was amazing, helpful and kind! We were warmly welcomed and felt immediately at home. Our room was just like in the photos from internet - beautifully designed and decorated - and included everything one could possibly need, maybe we could wish a large bread knife and a couple of tea mugs, but the kitchen equipment worked well anyway. Comfortable beds! And good to have WiFi available and free in the room :) What one should have in mind when booking a room at a location like this is that it is in the middle of everything, which means that there might be some strange noise from streets very late at nights - for example road works/reparations. We did not care so much about this, but if you are a very light sleeper be sure to have ear plugs with you! Les mer
"Perfect location but so-so rooms"
I stayed at the Lisbon Short Stay twice now, and I'd have to say that the location is perfect and the staff are incredibly friendly. However, the rooms are not quite worthy of four stars. Overall, we had a good experience, but if you are looking for a four-star room, look elsewhere.

Very nice hotel. Especially great for family. I like the decoration. It's unique and pretty. But the most important thing is the LOCATION! U can walk to all the important places in Lisbon. It only takes several minutes to walk to Rossio train station.

First impressions are "What have I let myself in for?" as when you arrive there is a tiny reception area but then you are escorted up to your room, through a very trendy art deco style seating area. Each door has a mural painted on it, so you know which is yours, and there is modern and retro artwork everywhere. The room itself wasn't large but there […] was a small kitchenette, a clean, good-sized bathroom, table & chairs, large wardrobe, sofa and comfortable bed. The one down-side is that if you are a light sleeper, because of this apartment's proximity to the main shopping area of Lisbon, you may find it noisy at night. My girlfriend was woken a couple of times by the sounds of drunken people, I wore ear-plugs and slept through. The receptionists we spoke with there were all very pleasant and knowledgeable of the Lisbon and the things to see & do. They were able to keep hold of our luggage for a full day after we checked out in the morning and had a late flight home. Les mer

This choice was one of the best we've ever been anywhere in the world. It's in the middle of happening .... just coming out of the door you are in the main street of Lisbon center. The design of the room is excellent ... never seen anything nicer. I love the idea of having room which has hotel service regarding room cleaning but on the other side having […] our own kitchen and have our own breakfast. since hotel was in the middle of the city it was a joke going to the store and buying fresh bread, cakes and prepare perfect breakfast by our own choice. The only little disadvantage we notice was that desk for eating for 3 persons was too small and I miss place in the bathroom for putting all the necessary cosmetic stuff. Les mer

Lovely Apartments, friendly staff who are very helpful, very central. Housekeeping comes in every day at no further cost and keeps the place lovely. Stayed at this apartment for a long weekend away with my boyfriend. It is in a perfect location, only 1 min walk to main square and all restaurants/ pubs are less than 5 mins walk. The manager and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room is small but has all the amenities you need, decent sized kitchen area fully equipped with everything […] you could need. Room was cleaned spotlessly everyday. The staff really made the stay here worthwhile. I would definately recommend it. Les mer

These apartments are located very centrally in the main commercial district of Lisbon. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Each apartment has it's own unique decor which we really enjoyed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean with a great shower. The kitchenette was separate from the bedroom and had a hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, […] toaster and sink, with glasses, plates, cutlery, etc and a table and chairs. The location is just one block off the main Rua Augusta which is one of the main shopping streets. Also, it is only a five minute walk into the Bairra Alto where there are a multitude of bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. It's about a five minute walk to Rossio train station for trains to Sintra and about a twenty minute walk to the Santa Apolonia train station for intercity trains. by the strange smell in the corridor. The rooms are spacious, tidy and good smelling. Generally it was a pleasure to stay there and we had all we needed (kitchenette, hard matresses, very central location). For this central location the hotel is quiet and airy. Have fun!

You must notice that it is not a hotel, but apartments used as a hotel. The only staff is one employee (24-7) that helps with your basic needs, but there is no breakfast or meals available. "Not For Light Sleepers--Bring Ear Plugs"
The Room: Noise was an issue here. I can hear every door slam (which happened quite often), the echoing sound of heels clip-clopping down the hallway's concrete floors and a baby crying through the wall. They must use thin wall material in Portugal because I was able to hear a lot of door slamming and conversations in the hallways at the the two other […] hotels I stayed in in Portugal. Street noise is also prevalent throughout the day so napping is impossible. There was sounds of metal tables being dragged along the stone lined sidewalks and streets echoing through the roadway and seagulls crying every morning. I was also super unlucky because there was a cacophony of drilling and hammering from construction above my room and across the street between 9am to 6pm. There is absolutely no place to rest your toiletries except on a little counter above the sink or on top of the toilet tank. The counter was sagging and my toiletries would slide off and fall into the sink. Surprising since the place was supposedly remodeled in mid-2011. I had to put my tooth brush, toothpaste and face wash in the kitchen. It smelled funky in the bathroom and I smelled cigarette smoke coming from the hallway although the entire place was designated as non-smoking. It is nice that the place has a mini fridge, water boiler and cups if you want to make your own drinks. Location: It's located in a very small street and is easy to miss walking by. It's a couple short blocks from the Baixa-Chiado Metro blue lines stop and a relatively short walk to the Restauradores Metro stop. It's also a relatively short walk up some steep hills to Barrio Alto where all the bars and nightlife are located. The surrounding streets are bustling with many tourist and small shops. Staff: The staff was friendly and helpful. They have 24 hour security downstairs. "Practically Perfect in every way!"
We chose to stay at the 158 Lisbon Short Stay, as it was consistently well reviewed on a particular website we use. A site we trust the opinions/ratings of. The feedback on 158 Lisbon Short Stay had a an amazing strike rate. And combined with the fact that we were looking for something a little unique, different and interesting, we felt very quietly […] confident and comfortable in booking it. We were not disappointed. The hotel is very centrally located. And everything you need to get from A to B is within arms reach. There are shops, restaurants, cafes, tram/bus stops and railway stations within blocks from the hotel. So no problems with location and facilities. Hotel staff were amazing. The entrance door was opened almost immediately upon most arrivals. Being a boutique hotel, this was totally not expected at all. The gentleman on duty for most of our stay went by the name Michael. He very politely greeted us. Made no fuss at the check in. He fetched our room swipe keys from the lobby safe we were allocated upon arrival. Then he escorted us to our rooms and made sure everything was fine. When asked for recommendations for places to eat, he said he would print up some options for us and leave them at the desk on our way out to stretch our legs. He was a gem. The 158 Lisbon Short Stay doesn´t have a bar or cafe for guests to drink, dine or entertain (but we have been shown how this will be somehow factored into very near future plans). But we knew this in advance, as all the rooms contained fully equipped kitchenettes. Everything was thought of. Even French presses and microwave ovens. All rooms were decorated with a particular colour scheme in mind. And all were especially designed by the artist daughter of the hotel owner. So all were artfully imagined and decorated. And each room is unlike the other. Different colours and motiffs. Unique. We had a room on the 5th level (Rm#56). It had two large windows opening onto a narrow balcony. "Modernist look in heart of Lisboa"
We really enjoyed our at the Aprtments Baixa, both for their friendly staff and modernist, different look. Each room has a different style, and ours was facing south, with two large windows opening up on a great view of Lisboa. Even though we had some issues as a tile fell from the ceiling, and this happened on the night of Chrismas Eve, the problem […] was immediately taking care of, and the owner was gracious enough to offer some wine and a great promotion for our next visit (and we wil return to the same location when we next travel to Lisboa). One warning is that there are two steps at the entrance, even though the hotel was listed as being wheelchair accessible (the owner said he was working on this issue, but for now the staff is more than willing to help). "nice location in lisbon"
the next day, if i visit lisbon again, i'll definitely stay here. But i'd prefer to avoid room number 59. i was staying in 59, it was located next to entrace of 5th floor. so when guests open and closed the main door, it makes some noise. That was not nice. and washing machine and dryer were in 3th floor. you need to pay 2euros just for first 1hour […] to use washing machine. if you choose washing course which is over 1 hour, you need to pay 2 euros more. dryer is also 2euros to use the rest of things were brilliant. "Qurky, practical, good value"
I loved it! It was really centrally located with no hills to climb after a night out. It's in a bit that is sandwiched between 2 hilly areas, so i really appreciated that! I got talking to one of the girls who runs it and showed an interest in what they had done, they showed me round another 2 floors they are doing at the moment. The 3 bed flat too. […] It was only set up this summer and it's all a family business. From the art works, interior design, managing etc which i really appreciated too. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, all super friendly, warm and helpful ( it seem this is how the Portuguese are). I visited Lisbon with my elderly parents and so was after apartment style accommodation. Lisbon Short Stay offered very reasonable rates and is centrally located to the main sites ie within walking distance to the main plazas and then also to Alfama etc...The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. It was a brand new apartment with everything I needed, the room was of good size. A nice view on the roofs of Lisbon and very central location. However there is nothing to do in this area after dark, all restaurants and bars are elsewhere. During the day, it is a nice place for shopping and very traditional pasterias across the street are delicious. […] The girls at reception were very kind and helpful. The only thing was that the windows had been badly fitted and one a rainy & windy night, water came in the apartment and under the bed.... am sure this will be fixed in no time.
