VERY OLD HOTEL WOULD NOT EVEN STAY THERE HAD TO GO FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY VERY MISLED WITH PICTURES WOULD NOT RECOMEND TO ANYBODY

The hotel was very run down. Room was clean but holes in the walls/ceiling where moly bolts had been. Veneer was peeling off wood cabinet doors/drawers. Carpet was worn. Bathroom had barley enough room to turn around. Towels were so thin you could read through them. As a retired airline pilot I have stayed in many hotels/motels. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on, I chose to sleep on the floor the second night and slept better. Housekeeping did NOT come to our room, when I asked about it I was told we were not there so they didn't come if you leave. Having the kitchen was nicer but dishes would have been nicer.

Never got internet to work. Was told there was a complete kitchen, (there was but not one utensil, plate, pot, or anything else we could cook or heat the food we brought. When we got back to our room the first day out of our room, the bed was not made, there no towels, when we called the front office and told them they hadn't cleaned our room yet, we […] were told they only come every other day. OMG. Never, ever, ever, ever AGAIN. I booked 2 rooms and the mgt was nice at check-in. Then, they started coming into our room unannounced, questioning us about everything. They continued to call us 8 times within the first hour. We have a large family that came over so we could follow them to a funeral. As soon as they arrived, mgt. was at our door […] questioning them, calling me etc. Holy crap!!! It was 90 degrees, and they started calling us telling us to turn off the a/c! 5 times over two days they yelled at us about the air conditioner. Are you serious? I wanted to cancel so I could get another hotel, but they were going to charge me anyways - so I was stuck! I was there for a funeral and missed most of the service because I was dealing with these people. The following day, the same thing happened and I was late to church because they were harassing us! +smoke alarm was going off for no reason, bathrooms were uncleaned, we had to ask for towels, the iron didn't work in one room, no ironing board in the other... This hotel was a little "worn" and in need of major upgrades. It was recently painted, but most of the paint was on the appliances. There were no hangers in the closets, no clock and the phone did not work. There was no lamp in the bedroom and the heating system was so loud it made sleeping difficult. The stairs to the second level were so out of spec […] that you had to be extra careful you did not fall. Asked for a wake up call that never came. I chose this hotel only because I was not familiar with the area and it was close to my function. When I return, to Augusta, I will definitely choose another place to stay. Les mer

Like the other reviews I've seen on another site, I missed the turn for the entrance. The place itself is every bit of 2 1/2 stars. Basically its a hotel for military students and civilians who are in training or classes at Ft. Gordon. It has a full kitchen that needs to be updated and instead of a regular sofa, it needs a sleeper sofa. There are no […] paper towels, utencils or pots and pans ; you have to bring them. There is no daily cleaning service. The room comes with towels and wash cloths for 2 and if you need more you have to go to the front desk to get them. If the owners would really invest in this place by upgrading everything including the carpet, bedding and lighted signs pointing to the entrance, it would be a really nice place. Its in a nice residential area and is 10 minutes from Ft. Gordon's main gate, 2 minutes from a super walmart mini mall and IGA supermarket, and 10 minutes from Augusta Mall (off 520/ Bobby Jones Hwy). Les mer

Pros: the suites are very spacious and have a full kitchen. the rooms are also very clean. free wifi in room. very friendly staff. Cons: TVs are antique, the shower curtain had mold, the bed was very uncomfortable and covers felt scratchy. There was also a huge cockroach that terrified my wife.

The only positives were that it was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were cigarette burns on the side of the bathtub, no lid on the toilet, nicked up formica counters in kitchen. It's very difficult to get to at night as you can't turn directly into it from the main road, but you can't see the road you do turn on and Garmin doesn't know eit […] her. Les mer
