Bodde en natt i samband med ett bröllop i Durham. Koseligt inn med bar och restaurang. Rummet var enkelt men rent. Frukost ok. Bor gärna här igen. En smak av regionala England.

Pleasant pub B&B with friendly staff. It's a bit outside Durham, but there are frequent buses that stop pretty much directly outside and take less than 10 mins into the city centre. Hotel breakfast is generous and the coffee satisfyingly thick and strong.

This inn is 2 stars because the food was good, and the place was clean somehow. It looked nice but rather shabby, there were no toiletries in the en suite. The inn is not near any shops or restaurants. There was no internet and no room service. The television was just a radio: a screen-it was not working. The bed that my daughter slept next to had a […] radiator that was boiling hot and the room was stifling. It was a restless night of fitful sleep, for the bar downstairs were constantly laughing and talking and we could hear it quite clearly and outside there were a fair amount of cars and sirens. On the other hand, the food was quite good, and the prices very satisfying but the water was expensive. Breakfast was the same (but included in the price of your stay), but the process of giving us the food was very slow as there was only one waitress. Les mer

The reception was pleasant enough. But we found the room to be less than spotless. It was clean, but there were corners of dust, the central lampshade covered in it, etc. The bed was too short for me (I am 1.85 m). The breakfast was OK but again not outstanding. No fresh fruit on offer. We had our dinner as well. Also that nothing to write home about. […] All in all, given that we were a family of 3 adults wishing to have just the one room, we didn't have much choice given the short notice we had to book it and for where we need to be the next day it was perfectly located. In the same situation a next time, we may consider staying here again, but we're sure there are better alternatives to be found. Les mer

The room was not like the picture and certainly not value for money.Food in restaurant was the only high light. Durham is actually a ten minute drive away, this Inn is on the out skirts in the suburb of Pity Me.

I found that the room was basic and I was relieved I took shampoo and soap with me. The bathroom carpet smelled of urine and the overall cleanliness was disappointing. I went for a meal in the restaurant to be told that most of the menu was not available. I asked for a drink and was told I needed to go and get one myself from the bar. I had just literally […] put my last mouthful of food in and was chewing as my plate was taken from in front of me. There were not enough sockets in the room, so could either have the television on, or boil the kettle, have the lamp on or plug my phone in to charge. Overall, taking into account the cost, I guess I should not have expected more. Les mer

This hotel was a bargain, just a bit out of the way. There is a bus that goes from downtown Durham directly to the hotel for a very reasonable rate. The bus station is two blocks from the train station. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was tasty and generous. The pub serves great local ale. Be warned, there is no one there […] from about 10 in the morning until 2 p.m. check-in time in the afternoon, so make arrangements ahead of time for check-in. Les mer

We arrived to a friendly welcome and the pub itself was what you would expect from such an old pub.Our room though was a little disapointing,it didn't have any charm of an old building and looked like it had been quite a while since it was decorated.It was a shame because it was a good size family room just not a very cosy or welcoming room.It just […] needs new wallpaper and cosier bedding. it was okay, it did what it said on the tin. ideal for closeness of all that we required. recommended for 1-2 night stays.

staff very nice food very nice everything else very shabby indeed bed like a brick everthing was very dated old and shabby the staff and the food were nice shame about everything else would not stay again nor would i recommend it to anyone

Had a weekend away from kids to go to Beamish and Newcastle, we had a great weekend. The Lambton Hounds Inn was near to where we were wanting to go, the staff were freindly and the food was very good, the room we stayed in was clean and warm. We will be coming back thankyou.
