Puri Sunia Resort - Bali

There is literally nothing bad I can say about this hotel. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable, and the surrounding village is just breathtaking. I would recommend you take advantage of the daily complimentary yoga and tea service (with the most delicious sweets). The yoga instructor is just about the kindest, […] gentlest woman you'll meet, as well as the entire restaurant staff. The yoga instructor also leads walks into the village where you can explore the rice paddies and even a Balinese home. It was such a delight! I will note, in case this is important for your travel plans, that this hotel is located in a village and is a few miles from the tourist center of Ubud, but there are hourly shuttles from the hotel into town. we really enjoy our stay in Puri Sunia Resort, the resort is beautiful and really quiet. the location is somehow not easy to find, but that the point, we choose the privacy and quietness for our honeymoon. we really love our room, even just a deluxe room, but its totally worth of every penny we spend, yet the room are beyond our expectation, we love […] the bed with those nets ("kelambu"), the bath tub that can fit 2 of us comfortably, the surrounding of the resort are really refreshing and calming. Tips for those who wanna stay in this resort, just enjoy the whole day in the resort, no need to visit other place, cuz the hotel already have many activities to choose from, we joined the morning yoga session, really nice. the service quite slow as i think they short of employees. overall, fantastic! We arrived late at 10pm to Puri Sunia and immediately I was impressed, the beautifully lit entrance and the tranquil ambience transported us to another place altogether. Yogi greeted me by my name (she knew my name already...!) and checked us in with such a friendly sweet manner. By the time we were shown to our rooms (which by the way were absolutely […] stunning - the deluxe room was the perfect size not too big not too small - the actual room was BETTER than the pictures on the Internet), Yogi had brought in complimentary sandwiches (with a side of salad with proper crockery and cutlery) because she knew we would be hungry. Seriously I wanted to jump onto the Internet and write a review then and there as soon as I saw the cloche brought in with our food. Everything was just lovely - the peaceful surroundings of Ubud, the breakfast, the way that they made up your room in the morning and then they drew the soft curtains around the four poster bed in the evening, the landscaping is just gorgeous. Oh and the free shuttles are worth sticking to - taxis in Ubud will charge you ridiculous amounts. I would definitely recommend this place - it's worth the little extra money (in Bali). The only shortcoming (and I'm only writing this for the sake of it) was that due to Bali's weather there was a humid feel in the rooms as well (that couldn't be helped though even with the A/C on), the 7am yoga session I had woken up for was cancelled last minute without prior notice. That's all - but apart from that there are too many good things to list. Nice enough hotel, new and modern facilities, nice staff, nice food but unfortunately it's in the middle of nowhere.. the have shuttle bus service hourly into Ubud town but you are restricted with their time frames.. Also struggled with phone service out there.

I just come back from 5 days at Puri Sunia and I really must say that this small hotel in the ricefields of Ubud is a perfect address to be in touch with Bali's beautiful sourroundings. The staff is the friendliest I've ever had, so welcoming and helpful it could be. Not to talk about the delicious food, the landscaped hotel garden and the tasteful […] interiors of the rooms. I warmely recommend this hotel to anybody who likes nature and won't complain about a roaster wakening you in the morning (just the right time to do a yoga session or a nice walk throug the fields). The hotel service is great and the location excellent surrounded by rice fields. Service is really dedicated to the guests' satisfaction.

I ended my stay in Bali at the Puri Sunia Resort in Ubud. My stay was fanastic. Immediately I was greeted by the wonderfully friendly staff. The location was perfect, tranquil, quiet and peaceful. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed multiple spa treatments which was an absolute pleasure. The food was delicious as were the […] cocktails. I was treated as though I was the most important guest. All the staff were amazing and I felt so welcome. I loved my stay at Puri Sunia and cant wait to return. Les mer
