Alamo Hotel - Miami Beach

Fant dette hotelle på hotels.com, å d burde IKKE vær dær! Øddela mine 2 dager i Miami. Da vi kom til hotelet ble vi møtt av en hyggelig mann, grei service(vi hadde tilogmed fådd oppgradert rommet). Kom så opp til rommet,trodd først jeg hadde kommet til slummen. Rommet var skittent, badet var ækkelt, dusjn funka ikke, toalette var bare ufyselig. Vurderte […] en stund å bare dra dærfra. (Å det var ett oppgradert rom:/). Vi gikk ned å sa fra, fikk bytta rom, ikke det at det var så veldig mye bedre...men vi var slitne å orka ikke mere styr. Heldigvis er det mye å se i miami så det ble lite tid på rommet. Må også få me at han som sto i resepsjonen (muligens hotell eier) lurte oss på ein pansjonist båt tur. Vi hadde egentli lyst til å dra ut med Thriller båt, men ifølge han kosts d skjorta, måtte heller gi han 20 dollar så booka han oss på en båt tur. (Thriller båtn kosta 35 dollar, 265 dollar mindre enn det han sa til oss) Reiste vidre t Ft Lauderdale å fikk ett 2 stjerners hotell som var reine luxusn ifh, å til samme pris! Smell was enough to bring tears to your eyes,Parking is limited to only 7 spots, Was loud sound of traffic and taxi horns blowing all night don't expect to sleep. Would not even consider a free night at this place. We all know what happened at the Alamo / Beware!!!

Old building with poor maintenance. Directly on main road. May be deprived of good night's sleep due to noise of vehicular traffic.

We did not spend much time in the hotel making this a good choice over more expensive ones. Good location but very rundown.

We had room 205, which is facing the street. Windows are very thin, so we flt like sleeping on the street, on one of the busiest intersection of miami beach. Parking was free but unexisting, so we had to park in a 25$ parking garage, the elevator was broken, and constructionworkers started at 8am

Yes, the hotel is careworn, a bit run down. But it was clean; water pressure was good; air conditioning worked, as did the hot water; the price was very good and the location (for me) was outstanding.

Understand , it is an old motel, good location. TV had on channel windows didn't close, refrigerator "popping", elevator broken.

This hotel should not advertise that it has either parking or guest laundry facilities. We had to park on the street (at $10 a day) and that only after circling for long periods every time we moved the car. The laundry was outdoors in the alley - no security, no place to sit down. The saying you get what you pay for shouldn't apply, this place was horrible and their free parking is a joke. Eight tight spaces in front! The smells of the room get in your cloths and a hustle would have been cleanser than this place!

We read the reviews before hand so we knew what to expect. Hotel is located 1 block from the beach, which was perfect. Parking is free if you can find one, only 5 spots available and its 1st come 1st serve. We had a kitchenette but never used it as we saw a roach one time but never again. A bit tired, but new management is working on upgrades so thus could be much better in a few months. But it was a I could afford in the area so it was worth the stay.

Desirable area if you don't mind horrendous traffic - probably best for those who are staying without a car. Very minimal parking besides street parking, and they didn't explain that in a very obliging way. $20 key deposit even though they had my credit card number, indicating that they are accustomed to a problem clientele. Low standard but pretty good location and cheap. Ok for a short stay when just using the room to sleep.

Pros: close to the beach, cheap, safe and relatively clean. Cons: the "free parking" advertised on the website means if you are really lucky you may find one of the 6-8 parking spots in front of the building empty. Also, because of the old windows and proximity to intense traffic area, it was VERY noisy during the night.

Free wifi that was fast, had frig too! Things weren't up to date, but the bathroom stuff all worked great! Kitchen sink didn't work, but hey, who needs 2 sinks at this price range? They have a big closet you can use as well as light TV channels n 2 beds :)

I spoke with a clerk at the front desk for lies than 1 minute and left. He was rude and argumentative and no customer should have to suffer through that kind of behavior. Go to Embassy Suites instead. Hotels.com, remove this one from your list.

I had a great time while staying in this hotel. The room was nice and it had a microwave, a fridge, a tv, and a desk. Also an ok bathroom and a walk-in closet. The air conditioning was working fine. The staff was polite and my room was cleaned and the towels were changed everyday. Also the soap and the shampoo were replenished on a daily basis. It is an older building, yes, but I was actually surprised of how spacious my room was and how everything was well kept. Of course there are nicer and newer hotels, but probably they're gonna cost you at least twice as much. Also, the location is great, if you want to use public transportation, there are several bus stops in a 2-block radius from which you can go almost anywhere in the city. Les mer

Was great location close to bus and wall greens. Is good for a night or two it is old and bit run down but staff are very friendly and helpful.

Went to Miami for a Birthday Vacation. The hotel was very dirty and everything was OLD!!!! We didn’t spend much time in the hotel (The beach is not far), however the first day we had $3000 STOLEN from our luggage. The experience is fine and the venue is within walking distance to amenities and attractions. The hotel staff is quite courteous and helpful. It's value for your budget.

The hotel was OK if you are on a budget. The rooms need a good scrub floor to ceiling. Also I do not consider a microwave and mini refrigerator to be a kitchenette. I think my TV was a 14", very smal and rabbit ears no cable. The hotel has easy access to South Beach via the bus and the bus stop is 200 yards from the hotel enterance.

The hotel suited my purposes. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels. It is an older hotel. The elevator/lift needs to be renovated as it is moldy smelling. The stay was not at all good.First of all there is no parking.While booking they said they have parking but it wasnt there.There was no drinking water provided.We had to purchase the bottled water from them in a dollar.The rooms were like they were built in 1875.Overall,not a place to stay even if u have to spent a night.

I can honestly say that these people are the most boring, rudest, uncaring, unfriendly, no customer service, unprofessional people I've ever seen. The one person that I can honestly say that was kind to us was this generous man name Jerry. The bathroom sink was broken The tub was painted over, the windows were broken, room smell badly, the refrigerator […] was unclean last but not least we had no parking spaces and me and my boyfriend had to fight for one stinking parking and it's a horrible place to stay but thanks Jerry you were the only friendly, thougtful,caring person. DIRTY!!!!! Crumbs all over the chair, moldy air conditioner, dirty windows, used hotel shampoo bottle..I could go on and on, but you get the picture...would not stay here again.

How was my stay? I couldn't stay! The elevator is out of date and they still put you in there even though they have a code violation sticker in it! The room was disgusting, the bathroom wasn't clean it was so many health code violations I don't even know how that hotel is even open, a homeless man wouldnt even take that place for free food.
