Great! The staff were friendly, breakfast was good and rooms were comfortable. We had 3 beds in our twin room and 2 pillows each per bed! A huge plus for me was when they served strawberries and kiwis at breakfast :)

We really enjoyed this hotel and thought it was excellent value. Hotel Loreto is in the arty area of Bella Vista, close to the historical area for sight seeing as well as cafes and night life. It is spacious and airy, renovated around a pretty courtyard. The bedrooms are small with balconies overlooking the courtyard which means it is quiet and you […] have fresh air. The beds are excellent with really good cotton linen. Staff were very friendly and helpful about sight seeing, transportation, keeping suitcases secure before a night departure. There was a glitch with our reservation- ti was handled with courtesy to our satisfaction. You need to request a room with ensuite or you may have a private bathroom across the hall. It started with a less than impressive lobby and went down hill from there. No elevator. The safe didn't work in the room. The air conditioner started spewing the condensation after 15 min of use (onto the room floor). I had to use the bucket from the bathroom to catch it. The TV didn't work. The bathroom was so small that I could literally sit on the […] toilet, wash my feet in the 'shower' while bruching my teeth at the sink. The toilet stopped up the first day. The shower was so small that if I dropped the soap and bent over either my head or rear end would stick out. No bar soap and no washcloths. The breakfast was something I wouldn't pay $5 for. I checked out 2 days early went to the Plaza San Francisco (Now that gets a great review). Everything I mentioned would be just fine if this hotel would have cost $35/night. Les mer

Hotel Loreto is located in a wonderful neighborhood that is close to restaurants and night life. Despite its' proximity to the "action" the rooms are quiet since all windows and private balconies face an open air inner courtyard. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. The hotel was excellent. The staff was superior. Even though we only had three days we could have spent two weeks just exploring the neighborhood. Many of the best rated restaurants were within a few blocks of this hotel. But this hotel was so comfortable that we could have just stayed on-site and enjoyed the relaxing environment.

Hotel Loreto was a great place to stay from beginning to end. It is clean, and the furnishings seemed very new. The balcony was a wonderful plus. The staff was helpful and even offered to let us shower after we had checked out and were waiting to go to the airport.

The most important thing for me in a hotel room is the ability to sleep. The lack of air conditioning made the room too hot for me to be able to do that. My room didn't have a window and instead had a door which opened into a common balcony so I could not leave it open (it was cooler outside than in my room). The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the […] bathroom was tiny and difficult to use as was the tight tiny standup shower (my room didn't have a bath). The Positive: Location was good. About 15 minute walk gets you to many of the main sights. The Staff was friendly (though not necessarily competent as my Airport Taxi didn't arrive and I had to walk around the neighborhood looking for a taxi). Breakfast was adequate. Overall, would never stay again, since the friendliness of the staff doesn't help me sleep in an oven. Les mer

The Hotel Loreto is sparkling and well maintained, Lovely and airy, Looks new, but in old and interesting neighbourhood. Pleasant public rooms, and balconies in units. Really good breakfast. Staff extremly pleasant and looking to help in many ways. Would recommend to my friends and stay there again. Value for price too.

The Hotel Loreto was perfect. We only had 24 hours in Santiago (long layover), but wanted to get out and see the city. We arrived at midnight and the front desk staff was so welcoming...the bellhop even went out and got us four beers to drink in our room!! The hotel is modern, but classy, with big balconies in each room. The room was very quite; with […] the balcony door closed you could hear a pin drop, so we got great sleep. The location is perfect for anyone that wants to see some of the city. We walked to the museums, market, plaza de arms, and the Bellavista barrio area. I'd strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. Attractive facility conveniently located between the tourist sights of Centro and the bars and restaurants of Bellavista. I just walked. My first-floor room (102) was cramped but it was just me and I only had carry-on luggage so I didn't need much space. The big bed was more valuable to me. Good breakfast.

We enjoyed staying three nights at the Loreto. While the hotel appears to be a relatively new property and the staff appears to be learning on the job, it is a pleasant place to stay. The staff spoke little English but was helpful and very approachable. The Bella Vista barrio is a charming area and close to the city center, subway and other interesting […] areas. We found that the breakfast offered was typical, but the hotel ran out of various items (did not stock enough). So if you ate late you could not rely on there still being scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, butter, etc. Nevertheless, we do recommend the hotel and would stay there again. Les mer

A lovely hotel in the centra of Barrio Bellavista. Staff couldn't do enough to help. The rooms are a little small but more than made up for by the balconies and lots and lots of common areas to sit, including terrace views, wifi, outdoor areas. Nice newer hotel. Parking is off site, the rooms are a bit small but there are very nice common areas to relax in. Some of the rooms have shared balconies which should be mentioned before the room is issued....not too much of a problem but the rooms don't have A/C so you could get stuck sharing with a smoker.

Good reasonably priced hotel in a central locàtion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only drawback was that there was no air conditioning or fans in the room we were given - the hotel staff indicated that all the 1st floor rooms were without aircon (which is fine) but also no fans - it was extremely hot in out room without either fan or aircon

Great place. Seemed new (2012). Clean. Bright. Sunny. Helpful staff. Good location. Spacious common areas. Good breakfast - rolls, toast, juice, coffee, fruit, cheese, ham, eggs, yogurt. An oasis in an otherwise seedy part of town, Bella Vista.

Was very convenient to all the downtown area as well as the funicular, zoo and a dining district just a few blocks away. Did not know what to expect staying in Santiago for first time. Was pleasantly suprised with hotel and staff. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Not far from centro of Santiago, about a 15 to 20 min walk. Some restuarants in the area. Also can walk about 10 mins and go to calle constitucion where there are tons of restuarants. (nice area) Hotel […] has a nice rooftop area and courtyard with seating area. The only negative I have about the hotel is that we stayed on the 1st floor, and I could here the guy in the front desk everytime he spoke. Les mer

Hotel Loreto opened only a few months ago, hence everything is clean, modern and comfortable. The location can't be beat - Bellavista restaurants and nightlife just around a few blocks away and several places in downtown Santiago are only a 15-20 min. walk. The standard rooms, incl. bathrooms (w/ shower) are very small. It was cleaned every day and […] fit our needs, since we spent most of the time in the city and or the common areas (see below). If you are looking for a generous space with a desk, jacuzzi tub etc., the standard room is not for you. The common areas are top notch - roof deck, lounge area with several laptops, bar (serves food which we never tried), outdoor area, spacious breakfast room. Breakfast was plentiful (bread, toast, fruit, juice, coffee/tea, jam, cheese, ham). We were only a little bit confused by the scrambled eggs which were warm but completely undercooked - we might have missed a local delicacy there.... Cable TV, room safe and free WiFi is available throughout. They offer a laundry service which can be helpful but it was a bit pricy. The staff is professional and helpful. Les mer

Staff at hotel is very helpful and receptive to your needs. The rooms are clean, the hotel is very new, the terrace is great, WiFi is fast and FREE. I was very surprised by the style of the hotel once we arrived, as it is very modern, but warm at the same time.

Great hotel - i booked this for a night before travelling south to Patagonia - I came back to Santiago for 2 more nights after, and decided to book this hotel again. Very well located, close to Bella Vista bars and restaurants as well as the central business area. The whole building seemed recently renovated - clean, modern yet not stark or stale. […] Small rooms but filled with big beds nice furnishings and double french doors to ample balconies - but who needs much more space when you should be either out exploring Santiago or chilling in bed watching satellite TV?! Very quick, powerful wifi access and even laptops for guests. Great rooftop, decent breakfast and knowledgeable, pleasant staff who mostly spoke extremely good English. Friendly and helpful personnel. Specially Mrs. Loreto (same name as hotel) helped us go by underground to Concha y Toro vinery, one third of a TURISTIK bus price. Avoid using TURISTIK, they always overbook and leave you waiting (give excuses and offer a 10% discount for the next day!). - Hotel room: Nice WiFi, but they charge even local phone calls. […] Good beds and TV, but very small bathroom. You don't hear your neighbors, but no double windows and there is a lot of street noise. - No elevator. - No AC. With 30C we had to open windows and hear the noise. They gave us a fan, but it wasn't enough the first days. Imagine summer! - Low quality buffet breakfast. Coffee is really bad in Chile, but it is dreadful in this hotel. Get used to tea bags. - Neighborhood is not nice unless you walk ten minutes away from the hotel. The underground "Bellas artes" is also ten minutes away. Les mer

New hotel in old building. Super clean and friendly. Neighborhood is old so appears rough but no worries for us walking at night. Easy walk to old central city. Not at all like the modern, more western style Avedentia area.

Hotel was in a good location. Very short taxi rides to anywhere. Although from the outside it doesn't look much, in the inside is very nice decor. Morning breakfast was always good, but always the same. Good price and value.

This is an new hotel with a great location close to the vibrant Patio Bellavista and within walking distance from Plaza de Armas. If you expect fully sound proof walls, a lift/elevator, shoe polish or a mini bar - you should look for another hotel.
