8/10 – Veldig bra

In this segment, a great hotel!
The location isn't the best. It is possible to walk to Punda, which is the main tourist area, but it is best to have a rental car (free parking). The hotel has an interesting history, being a renovated ice cream factory, and is quite picturesque with small houses in varying pastel colours. The owner was interested in art, and had spread different pieces all around the hotel area, making the atmosphere even more interesting and appealing. Our room was on the top floor, being a superior room, giving it an extra edge with the high ceiling - I would go for this option, as the room was reasonably cheap anyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that they offered free Wi-Fi in the room. If I was to suggest improvements to the owner, I would mention: A full-figure mirror would be practical, as would more hooks in the bathroom and some kind of shelf in the shower, and maybe also a few more clothes hangers. Furthermore, I think salt and pepper should be available, as this is something almost everyone using the kitchenette will need and probably forget to buy... There is no hot (or cold) water, neither in the kitchen sink nor the shower - apparently this is common in Curacao, but high-end hotels will have it. There's no TV in the room, and no safe. But, all in all, we were pretty satisfied with this hotel compared to the other two hotels we stayed at while visiting Curacao (Renaissance and Kura Hulande Lodge) as it provided far more value for money.
