    Arriving at Ihoteu Beach, red and white horse-shaped lighthouses will greet you. To get here, travel along the Yongdam Coastal Road, a famous spot for viewing spectacular sunsets. These distinctive lighthouses create an otherworldly atmosphere and look quite magnificent during sunset.

    The sun sets between the 2 lighthouses, providing you with great photo opportunities. Ihoteu Beach remains open at night, so arrive sometime before sunset for an ideal experience.

    Seongsan Ilchulbong

    A favourite for viewing magical sunrises

    Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) is a tuff cone with a crater formed through volcanic activity. It’s been designated as Korea’s Natural Monument No. 420, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a popular spot among locals and visitors. The path leading up to it is well maintained, but wearing comfortable shoes is recommended as the climb is rather steep. 

    It’s famous for a sunrise-viewing spot as the name suggests, but you don’t have to schedule your visit around sunrise because its natural beauty shines no matter the time of day.

    Camellia Hill

    Camellia Hill is famous for more than just camellia flowers; it’s also home to themed seasonal events like the Hydrangea Festival and Silver Grass Festival. And thanks to the many guide maps, you can look around without getting lost. 

    Each walking trail is numbered, and all areas feature a designated photo spot for you to capture memories with a loved one. You can see exquisite flowers regardless of season, but if you can visit in autumn for a breathtaking display of silver grass and pink muhly.

    Lee Jung Seob Street

    Stroll through a street rich in artistic history

    Lee Jung Seob Street (or Lee Jung Seob’s Art Street) is full of souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it an ideal place for leisurely walking with a loved one. It's centred on the former residence of artist Lee Jung-seob. The streets are car-free on weekends, and there is a quaint walking trail called the Writer’s Promenade that shouldn’t be missed. 

    After visiting the artist’s birthplace and the Lee Jung Seob Art Gallery, take a load off at a nearby café and soak in the street atmosphere. Also nearby is Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market, where you can enjoy a variety of foods.

    Cheonjiyeon Waterfall

    Reach Cheonjiyeon Waterfall Cross, a designated natural monument, via a stepping-stone bridge past a wooded trail. The roaring sound of the flowing water will invigorate the soul, and you won’t be able to leave without a picture. 

    There are many other interesting destinations such as Saeyeon Bridge around Cheonjiyeon, one of the most famous spots in Jeju. You won’t need to spend too much time here, so it’s recommended as a starting point on your day of sightseeing.

    Hallim Park

    Find the caves in this leafy garden

    Hallim Park is a natural garden where you can see a variety of tree species, including giant palm and bamboo. There are sculptures that symbolise Jeju along the trails between the lush trees, adding to the Jeju vibe. 

    Inside Hallim Park are Hyeopjae Cave and Ssangyong Cave. There is a hole in the ceiling in the middle of Ssangyong Cave that lets in sunlight, and the plant life that grows around it amplifies the mystical atmosphere.

    Yeomiji Botanical Garden

    Yeomiji Botanical Garden is a place brimming with beauty created by plant life. You can find lush forests, tropical trees, greenhouses, a hedge maze, international gardens, and even structures with thatched roofs. Wearing comfortable shoes is recommended because Yeomiji Botanical Garden is so large that even a ride on the garden train inside takes ten minutes to see it in its entirety. 

    Don’t skip the dome-shaped observation deck that overlooks the entire garden because you just might get a view of Mount Halla on a nice day.

    Jeju Swiss Village

    A unique and striking sight in Jeju

    The colourful buildings of the Swiss Village naturally draw you in, and the guest houses, souvenir and accessory shops, as well as cafés, make you want to stay. Of course, the vibrant buildings make for excellent photo subjects and backdrops, and your pictures are all but guaranteed to really pop. 

    Just look for 2 trees at the entrance to the village that grow as one, symbolising love and creating a romantic vibe as soon as you arrive.

    The picturesque Baekyaki Oreum Volcanic Cone’s charming atmosphere is heightened by a small dirt road between green meadows and cedar forest. There’s no better place than here to enjoy a walk along the narrow path with your significant other. Plus, it’s easy to take great pictures thanks to the beautiful scenery around you. 

    You can even see Seongsan Ilchulbong from here on a clear day. Because there are no trees around to obstruct your view, it’s also an exceptional place to see a wonderful sunrise.
