Hotel a little tired, a bit of 1990 vibe going in but other than that it was perfect, pools lively, food in restaurants great, the only restaurant we did not like was the Buffet, breakfast n just ok in comparison to other hotels in Abu Dhabi but not bad, def go b and b so you can sample the A la carte restaurants, Lebanese, Italian, Belgian were just great. We will def be back here

A lovely Hotel with great facilities. We unfortunately never managed to book a tennis court because of availability issues, but otherwise it was a great holiday destination. We went with a teenage son, but it is especially good for small families with playground,slide, kids, pools and amenities.

What makes this hotel a truly unique place are the people who work there. Staff was always kind, helpful, smiling, working very hard to make guests happy and that should be recognised foremost. The hotel has its own history which is fantastic and when you read the lower score reviews don't discourage yourself from booking because slightly outdated furniture doesn't matter at all. Rooms are spacious and tidy, it's quite and safe with easy parking and you can walk to the Corniche beach. We loved our stay and would honestly recommend it. Thank you Intercontinental Abu Dhabi for making our stay with you a memorable experience.

Nice place to stay. The cleaning staff were amazing especially A young man call HADDAM he went the extra mile to make a line to hang my washed clothes I didn’t even ask for that was very thoughtful. Thank you HADDAM!The checking in was a bit not too great i checked in on a Saturday morning she didn't mention the different times the breakfast starts and ends week days and weekends. At breakfast there was a young lady called AYE very nice and respectful always smiling . The young man at the water, fresh juice and coffee area was very friendly. The classism there is ridiculous 🙏 others started being nice when they found out I was from America or American,and also a great tipper, the staffs who wouldn't acknowledge me before, all and more kept stopping at my table to ask if i was ok or make some type of conversation it was appalling. Overall it was a great place to stay near places to visit. I will definitely recommend.

Need some improvements

You need to improve two things. 1. The lady welcomed us wasnt qualified speaking English properly. she is almost mumbling words and a bit hard to understand. The funny fact is I was born in Australia and a native speaker. 2. Someone called me in a room at 11:25, asking we are checking out or extend our stay. It is pretty rude calling directly in a room before noon and encouraged us to check out quick. This is pretty rude and funny

This is a beautiful hotel with fantastic faciltiies. There are several gorgeous dining options. The pools are lovely and the beach is such a lovely space too. There are places to walk to around and about but it is too hot for this really and it is very easy and cheap to take a taxi. If you want the waterpark and Yas island nightlife then this hotel is a good half an hour taxi ride from Yas island. however, the location for us was perfect and we were happy to travel to Island on 2 occasions rather than stay out there. The staff were just brilliant at the Intercontinental and I felt a real sense of welcoming and family friendliness, nothing was ever too much for them! I would recommend that it is worth taking the all inclusive offer. Drinks and food are expensive and so the 'All inclusive' works really well and is excellent value. There are several fantastic hotels on site and I would really recommend these, otherwise it is a taxi drive to somewhere else to eat. However, if you do want to go out and about then the hotel are flexible with the all inclusive and we were able to take it on a day to day basis which is brilliant. Loved our stay here thank you!

Intercontinental is a great brand. I am a very frequent visitor and always loved my stays. But this hotel has 2 faces: services and people are on IHG level Good to great staff. But the accommodation has passed its shelf life; sleeping rooms, bath rooms and some public places are way below IC level. Some more explanation:The rooms - ours was on the Club floor - are in big need of complete renovation, there is too much silicone kit patchwork. Wear and tear is visible everywhere. Towels and bathrobes are sometimes torn and worn out. Bath room sink is too dirty(silicone again). Shower is not working properly. Wall plugs that are unstable. Telephone plug does not connect anymore to the phone etc etc. Here I stop. Small things but too many of them in this hotel. The whole hotel needs a revamp to bring it to the level of the great Intercontinental brand. I feel sorry for the well-trained , firendly and very attentive staff, but we will not come back in IC Abu Dhabi until it has been modernized

What a Hotel! From the minute you walk in, you are made to feel so special, their attention to detail is astonishing and it runs like a well-oiled machine! Dining options galore and great outdoor areas to sun bathe, swim or just relax with a lovely cocktail! Will return for sure! Thank you….

When I arrived the checking was very slow as the room were not available. We had to wait like 45 mins. But when we checked in, we found out the room was small and smelly. We spoke to them and they upgraded us to a better and spacious room which made it worth it. It was a nice stay to be fair. Everything went well. It is in a nice area. The only small issue is that it is an old hotel. It’s 45 years old. Needs to be renovated.

The location is truly worth it – very relaxing and well-served by a variety of restaurants. The service provided by the staff was excellent. The access to the private beach walking aroud the harbour fine. However, the bed was not particularly comfortable, and the presence of pigeons on the windowsill in the early morning disturbed my sleep a bit!! Still, overall a very pleasant stay. I would come back!
