When we arrived, we waited almost an hour to get checked in. The rooms we booked were not available, so the hotels grand solution was to offer us two rooms at $30 per night per room more expensive. We ended up taking an accessible room which had no sofa bed, so our children all had to sleep in the other room. Outside of our window on the 6th floor was a huge exhaust system that poured out steam and loud noises all day and night. No sleep for us. The $30 per night resort fee gets you nothing, and don't be fooled by the $35 per night credit for food and beverages. This hotel will nickel and dime you to death (more like $20 and $30 dollar you to death). The Bridges bar was terrible and overpriced. The waitress was very nice though overworked. The checkout was a disaster. It took more than an hour and when I wanted to share my experience, I was shuffled off to a manager who did not do what he promised. I have stayed in many hotels in Manhattan, and I have never had such a negative experience. I like to try different places, but this hotel will never be on the list again. I should mention that in the check out process, the reason why it took so long is that EVERY guest had a complaint. From bed bugs to a very concerning story about inappropriate activity in a room...people were not happy. I will never stay at this hotel again. The cherry on the Sundae was an hour wait for our car, and a different rate than was promised when we parked. Really, really bad, Hilton
