Perfect location for Museums
The location was very walkable and central to the National Mall. It was clean and the employees were helpful. I loved that there were fresh bottles of water in the room each day. Very helpful when you are traveling. The mattress was ok. Not the most comfortable for a woman sleeping on her side.

Great location for the mall
Two king sized beds was great for our family. Location was great as well. We easily walked to the Wharf for food and the mall is less than a mile walk. Felt safe walking at night. Coming from the airport on the metro was confusing because we didn’t understand the maze to get through to the hotel (left the station from the wrong direction), but pretty convenient after we figured it out.

Hotel was clean and appeared well taken care of. We were in easy walking distance of the National Mall and Smithsonian Museums. The area was clean and there were a fair amount of restaurants within walking distance, although we didn't check them out due to the rather cold temperatures. All in all, I would stay here again, I was also pleasantly surprised that the Valet was able to fit my truck in the parking garage, even though the hotel website said it was too tall.

Parking need to know
Be cautious of parking options. Garage is $45 a day and it charges you when you go in and every 6am after that. The garage also closes its doors at 10pm but the do have a number to call if you need back in after. When we called the number to get back in they literally told us to walk through the exit and walk around to hit the button that will open the entrance door- this was very crazy! Hotel was nice and clean.

Good spot in DC for tourists
Well located hotel between National Mall and The Wharf, but you'll still need to do a lot of walking. Only issue with our stay was that it was in the 80s in November, so the hotel had hot air blowing - we got back to our room at the end of the day and it was 78 degrees. Since they had a WiFi outage at the same time, it took a few hours to fix.

We were within 10-15 minutes to most of what we wanted to see. (Smithsonian, Washington Monument, etc.). There is also a bus tour stop just one block up from our Hotel so we spent one day just touring everything with Big B Bus tours. There are cabs right outside to take you anywhere and the metro is right underneath the hotel so you can travel with them as well. There was many food court options in the mall next to the hotel and under the hotel. The place was secure and you could only get to your floor with your hotel key. I would definitely give our stay a 5 star.

I am a seasoned world traveler and Hilton member. This property was very vexing: while it is in a good location, close enough to the wharf and mall for a moderate walk, GPS ceases to work around the hotel and the only entrance is not easily accessible despite the hotel being above a Metro stop. The hotel technically is within walking range of attractions, but in reality it is much more difficult to do so. If using GPS, one must use 490 instead of the 480 on the hotel, or use the address for the Spy Museum in order for GPS to get you to the lobby. I favor mass transit when visiting cities and the location at L’Enfant Plaza was a factor in choosing this site. However, the elevator access from the Metro to the lobby was closed at random times, with no notice beforehand. At night, this was problematic because one cannot easily navigate to the upper level of the lobby due to the GPS problem. My traveling companion has mobility issues which heightened this problem even more. Climbing flights of stairs at night because the only elevator access was closed randomly at 8 pm is a liability. Simple signage by the elevator would eliminate this problem. Finally, there really is no selection of dining in the hotel. One Starbucks and bar/restaurant seems insufficient considering the price of accommodations at this site.
