This is definitely the worst part of my holiday, got badly bitten by bedbugs! First I thought they were just mosquito bites, but how wrong I was until I was woken up by some fresh bites on the second night.
Alerted the owner at 3.30am n moved to another room, with fear....( if it wasn't in the middle of the might I would have moved out for sure).
The worst was that they simply closed the room the next day, gave the beddings I slept on(not everything in the room!) a wash with household laundry stuff, then it's back into business for the next guests! Anyone with a bit of an brain would have contacted pest control to deep clean the room, or the whole place as the bed bugs may have infested the house. But they put profit first....
All they could do is to offer apology, and lot of explanation how this has never happen before bla bla bla.... and eventually blamed it to the girls who were staying there previously for bringing the bed bugs in! Wow!!
Overall no compensation given or offered, I had to spent my own money for medications and suffered the irritations from the bites. I've initiated a claim through Hotels.com which the owner rejected, just showing how they put profit over the health n safety of their customers! Stay away at all cost!
