Unfortunately our stay at Bluestone Cottage was very disappointing.
The house itself is very nice both reasonably clean and close to the centre of town to be relatively convenient.
Unfortunately the service we received when we had an issue has been terrible. After a week hiking in Tasmania we arrived at the Cottage looking forward to a hot shower and a relaxing weekend. The hot water system stopped working after 1 shower and was unable to be turned back on or fixed for the remainder of the stay. While I understand that the odd issue occurs I do feel that hot water is not an unreasonable basic requirement.
We followed the instructions and lodged a query/maintenance request with the property management company. Unfortunately no response was received for over 12 hours despite 3 messages and then the response was that nothing could be done as it was the weekend and the issue would be referred to their maintenance department on Monday (after we had left the property).
Noting that sometimes things happen I contacted L'Abode Accommodation Specialist (who manages the property) through email (through the Expedia complaint link) to get their view on how they were going to address the lack of service. 4 days went past with no contact and I then followed up with email to there head office, a response was received and I forwarded the complaint again and following that a week has passed and still no response.
Overall terrible customer service, I wouldn’t book with them again
