My stay at Axel Guldsmeden was overall very enjoyable.
Check-in was quick and easy, and the rooms had a cozy atmosphere with a nice, unique vibe. However, the cleanliness could have been slightly better. The hotel offers a great selection of amenities, including body oil, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you might need, such as a kettle, TV, and a safe.
The spa was a real highlight, excellent value for money and often quite empty, making it perfect for relaxing. It includes everything from a sauna and steam room to a jacuzzi and infrared sauna. A nice extra touch was the complimentary coffee scrub, mud mask, and even a peanut mix to enjoy while relaxing on the sunbeds.
Breakfast was delicious, with most, if not all, items being organic. There was a wide selection, from scrambled eggs and crispy bacon to juices and ginger shots. One thing to note is that it can get quite crowded on weekends. Some guests had to sit outside in the garden, where it was a bit chilly in the morning, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a table indoors.
The hotel also has a gym, which is a great bonus. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available, either in person or via the phone in the room.
Location wise, the hotel is very central, within walking distance of the main train station, metro stops, a nearby supermarket, and tivoli gardens.
A great stay with a relaxing atmosphere with just minor room for improvement.
