Color Design Hotel

Our stay was great, we were there for 1 night, our last night in France. We were able to check in early and they even upgraded us to a larger room. It had everything we needed. The bathroom was great. Loved the design of this hotel. Easy access to metro and nice restaurants close by. We did not get a chance to have the breakfast.

The main point I wish to share is the location of this hotel. 100 meters from the metro, and the neighbourhood is riddled with great bars and restaurants. Try Bluebird for cocktails, L'Ebauchoir for authentic and rustic French food, and their sister business, the wine bar opposite called Le Siffleur de Ballons.

Great hotel in a great location. Staff were always incredibly helpful and friendly. Would stay again for a short break. Only downside for me was room was small and bathroom in particular was very small. But was out for most of the time so not too much of an issue.

We booked the Colour Design Hotel during a recent visit to Paris because of its proximity to the Gare de Lyons. The hotel was a one km walk from the train station on a quiet street just off of Boulevard Diderot. Our room was small, but modern & we'll equipped. The wifi signal was strong & consistent & the in-room safe was large & able to contain all of our valuables. The room was quiet and the hotel offered a continental style breakfast for an additional 13 euros. The Faiderbe-Chaligny subway station was a 5 minute walk around the corner from the hotel. The area between the hotel and the subway station was a bit rundown with many homeless people living on the street. At the same time there were a number of excellent & expensive restaurants & wine bars in the same location. Definitely an area of contrasts. We enjoyed our stay at the Colour Design Hotel and would certainly stay there again if we were travelling by train to, or from the Gare de Lyons station.

Perfect little room to enjoy the 11th district and get over the jet lag before trekking out to the wine region.
