Hotel Splendide Royal

Tredje gangen i Roma, og vi fant hotellet og bydelen vi gjerne kommer tilbake til. Passelig «småstort» hotell, med svært dedikert betjening. Beliggenheten er topp, i gåavstand til gamle bydelen, men likevel hevet over sentrum av byen. Utsikten fra frokostsalen gir et godt oversiktsbilde; fra restaurant Mirabelle (anbefales!) er det et vakkert syn på kveldstid. Ingen gatestøy. Dette var en innertier (hvis ikke døgnprisen nå går opp, etter alt dette skrytet...) ;)

Great location! Walking distance to great restaurants! Easy walk to famous sights!

Wonderful service and they dealt with a power outage by walking up to carry all our luggage down. Beautiful location and convenient to everything special!

My review has 2 levels: one based on room the other on service: First the room, I booked a Junior Suite and expected to have a terrace that viewed outside. My room was on the second floor and the view from both windows was looking 3 outside walls of the hotel along with debris, very disappointed. As the suite was 2 small rooms and no true outside view and that I am very claustrophobic, I immediately went to front desk to ask to change rooms. They said they would see what could be done and I was very lucky: they did a FABULOUS JOB giving me a new room on the 6th floor with a beautiful terrace and view of the Vatican. MY ADVICE; be sure to get a room on at least the 4th floor with a street view. If you can't get this guaranteed based on what I paid for junior suite, I would choose another hotel. SERVICE: FANTASTIC, very helpful, breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was wonderful, great piano player, amazing view. The restaurant is pricey but the view is worth it. Great location as we walked to most of the sights.

Good quiet 5 star hotel just to the north of all Romes popular attractions.
