Hotel was conveniently located enroute to/from our destination, but that was it. On the return trip, after checking in late evening, the WiFi didn't work. Tried 3-4 times during our first hour then tried to phone to front desk. No answer after I called three times in five minutes. Finally went down to see what was going on. Walked up to the woman at the front desk and said I had several questions. The first was why no one was bothering to pick up the phone. She mumbled something about she and the guy who had checked me in sometimes not liking to answer calls. Then the guy, who was in the back - possibly the owner? - walked out and asked me what my next question was. I asked why the WiFi wasn't responding and he blew a gasket. Started swearing at me, even as another customer came in to check in, saying he did not accept abusive behavior towards the staff and that I should pack up and leave. When I said I had merely asked a question and that I'd already paid for my room he said no, that I didn't - I'd paid Expedia. When I said Red Lion was going to hear from me, he swore some more, said Red Lion didn't own the place, and told me to depart the premises or they would call the police.
My wife and I packed up and left the place at about 10:30 PM with nowhere to go. Ended up driving another hour and then found a wonderful hotel down the road that was the polar opposite. Even so, I was prepared to spend the night in our vehicle rather than stay in this place.
