Courthouse Hotel

At first, we thought it was a joke or some candid camera prank. Turned out it wasn't. We booked 3 nights at Courthouse through hotels.com, prepaid the rooms which were one DeLuxe room (one living room, one bedroom) and one standard room. When we arrived we noticed that the staff couldn't care less about us. After waiting for ten minutes the woman at the desk suddenly "saw us". Not a smile, not a greeting. Completely indifferent. She then went on to change us 300 pounds as a "deposit" which the concierge said was refunded when we left. Nope. There are still 300 pounds missing from my credit card 12 hours later. Then we have the rooms. The "DeLuxe" room turned out to have a faulty air condition system and it was like a freezer in there. The night manager moved us to another room (standard room) and said we could stay there for the rest of the visit. No mention of any compensation at all. So we basically paid a "deLuxe" price for a standard room. We expected to be compensated for this when we checked out, but the morning concierge couldn't care less and said he knew nothing about it. Then we have the incident with the fridge. The fridge in one of the rooms was broken. We called the reception about this. Apparently, the "maintenance" guy should see to it at once. Nothing was done. Ever. Then one of us got a nasty flee bite during the night. Turned out the bed sheets was a breeding ground for bed bugs. Stay away at all cost!

Flott beliggenhet, fine rom.

I had an amazing time. It was right by Oxford street and easy to walk around from. My only drawback is that I am not fan of floors made out of carpets (but I know it is normal in UK, so that is OK). I wished that for the prices of the room- the breakfast should have been included

Fantastisk beliggenhet, gode senger, grei størrelse på rom og bad, deilig og varmt svømmebasseng. Veldig dårlig service, alltid få i resepsjonen, rapportert en ødelagt nattbordslampe, ble aldri fulgt opp, spurte etter nye glass da de ikke erstattet brukte med nye, ble aldri levert selv om lovet og notert. Dårlig renhold. Ikke støvsugd etter forrige gjester, lå hele negler på gulvet (ikke under sengen), ble heller ikke støvsuget før etter natt 2. Kunne lett fått 4+ hvis de hadde hatt normal service og renhold.

Hotellet har en perfekt beliggenhet.. men det var mye rot med TV som ikke funka og vi opplevde to ganger at gjester fikk nøkkel til til som var opptatt. Anbefaler ikke å bo i 5.etasje da de har en takbar. Det dundret i taket frem til midnatt, kan ikke fatte at de lar gjestene bo sånn! Det er mange fine hotell i London, beliggenheten er suveren, men mye surr og støy.
